I plea to differ. William Shakespeare (considered to be one of the best English writers ever) did use the Geneva Bible. Even an English professor David Daniell said the following: "No William Tyndale, no William Shakespeare".

The excellence of the English language was at its climax in the late 1500s (the period of the English Reformation). William Shakespeare lived in this period.
