Catholic Church And Hitler

You see Ed, I believe there is many Catholics that know not to bend their knee's to Mary or any saints. I believe the Church knows they do it and allow it to happen. Many here say they don't and give excuses over and over. Christ is our Lord. If He is Lord, then no other should be Lord of our lives. Our love for Him cannot be divided. Can a married man divide his love with two women or more? No. Our relationship with Christ is becoming one with Him. Our whole life's should be for Him and Him along.

Christians Without Bibles

#5. The Holy Ghost, by the mouth of Paul, says to us, "Prove all things. Hold fast that which is good." In these words you have two great truths. The right and duty and necessity of private judgment. "Prove all things." The duty and necessity of keeping firm hold upon the Truth, "Hold fast to which is good" The Christian has the right to compare man words and man's writings with God's revelation, and to make sure that he is not deluded and speaking false.

Falling Away From God

Kyle, it doesn't say falling away from God and its punishment, because they were saved, for those people were not saved. It never mentions that anyone had faith in Christ. All they were, were enlighten, and enlighten is not the equivalent to regeneration (10:26,32) it is clear also that enlightening is not equivalent of salvation (10:29). Tasted the heavenly gift in the figurative sense in the N.T. refers to consciously experiencing something. This could be momentary or continuing.

Am I Destined To Hell

2. Lets now look at what the word of God says, "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the ages to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance." Listen to what he said, "For it is impossible" What is the point? that it is impossible for the believers in Christ to fall away and crucify Christ again.

Falling Away From God

2. Tyler, now go to the passages, " for it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance." It says, " it is impossible" in other words not possible. can never happen. When I said those were not saved, I was not speaking about the one's in 6:4, Those were saved.

Falling Away From God

2. Kyle, I wanted to show you that in Hebrews because first of all, the question is not what you can or cannot do. Just by asking or even thinking that you can go one way and then come back really gives away that you are not really saved to begin with. If you were, you would not even be thinking of walking away. As I have explained on one of the blogs that when you are saved you have the anointing in you that teaches you and you do abide in Him.

Falling Away From God

3. Kyle, Hebrews 6, explains, it is impossible for one to fall away and crucify Christ again. If it were possible as some here think, then we could come and go as we pleased and every time we do we would be born again, and regenerated again and again everytime we sin and confess. Christ would have to die more the a million deaths every time we are born again. If you are saved you are saved, if you are not you are not. If you don't want to walk in the faith, it proves you faith was not genuine.

Can You Lose Your Salvation

3. Hebrew 6:4-7, in verse 4, which speaks of enlightened" we find in John 1:9 that enlightening is not equivalent of salvation. Understanding the gospel is not equivalent of regeneration,(10:26,32). Just because they were enlighten, didn't mean they were saved. I believe reading the conditions and the people that are spoken of will bring light to those passages, when read in its full context.
