*My husband and I are actively involved in ministry and travel ....*

Thanks beloved for telling me about what you're doing - but B.H doesn't have to tell us about what he is doing for Christ. We simply see it everywhere with our own eyes. Perhaps if you were partnering with others as Hinn does, may be you would be more fruitful for Christ and require no self-introduction? God bless you sister but we need to have a little bit of humility when judging the work of others.

Susie,Andrea and others, you may have a low opinion of this man Benny Hinn, and you're entitled to it. But believe me, the guy is far more productive for Christ than a lot of you folks who are doing little more than posting a few posts here! Yes, I do think so.

Where Do We Go After Death

Andrea---

It is in 2 Cor.5:8, although the wording differs in different versions. In the NIV, it reads: "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." Of course people like Ryan who think that every scripture they haven't come across doesnt exist, dont know it. That's why they cling to these false doctrines of religious sects. Brothers and sisters read the Bible. It has answers to every question. May God bless you all.

-- Because it's written down on a piece of paper?? Does that make it truthful?--

Cliff, the Bible is a Spirit inspired Book, and not just another "piece of paper"! This inability to understand that the Bible was inspired of God accounts for most of the heretical beliefs and false doctrines like these held by people like you. The the Bible or the gospel of Luke isn't just "another piece of paper." Lets not claim to be wiser than the Spirit of God who inspired these writings.

Where Is Paradise

Ryan, you say the story of Lazarus and the rich man is a parable and not to be understood literally? If that is so, then it would be the only parable Jesus ever told that could not have been at least conceivably possible in real life. Even Jesus' other parables were true to life, even if they were not actual events. So, why in this case alone would the Lord use false information to convey such a critical truth as that regarding the fate of the dead?

Where Is Paradise

2)In Matthew 22:31-32, Jesus, in response to a pointed question about marriage, life after death, and the resurrection, quoted Exodus 3:6 and then added His authoritative comment to it. "Have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'?

Where Is Paradise

3)He is not the God of the dead but of the living." Jesus' words clearly imply that the Patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob were even at that point in Jesus' day still alive, in some way. Why would make such an assertion were they totally dead spiritually?

Is Purgatory Paradise

I agree with you Jackie, when someone says that the spirit does not need saving, he just doesn't know what he is talking about, for the spirit part of Adam was the part of him that died when he ate of the forbidden fruit (Gen. 2:16-17).

Where Is Paradise

If one cannot understand even after reading scriptures like Luke16:16-31, 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 that man continues to live in a conscious state after leaving this world, and instead he starts arguing that "the death of Christ is just as unique as His life and to attempt to attribute any part of it to all of humanity is vain. The parable of Lazarus and the rich man is not to teach us about the nether world .." then this person isnt open to learn anything betyond what he thinks he knows.

Where Is Paradise

Leon, I don't see the point Ryan is really arguing about here - is he disputing the Bible about the discourse between Abraham and the rich man? The Bible is clear it took place. People should believe what the Bible says and not what they want to believe.

Is Purgatory Paradise

What defines a person is the spirit in him, and not his soul or body. Thats why when Adam sinned, the Bible says that he died whereas his soul and body remained alive (Gen. 2:17). So when a person dies physically, he returns to God awaiting to reunited with the soul and body through which he operated on earth. The soul is kept in Sheol/Hades. This is more of paradise as it isnt a place of torment the way the Catholics want us to believe.

My Parents Argue Continually

Spouses arent supposed to be arguing a lot, if they are Christian and mature. This doesn't mean that they don't at times disagree on some issues. Its normal to disagree. We are different, even as we are one in Christ. But it is wrong for spouses to argue often over small issues - it corrupts the atmosphere of intimacy between them and spoils peace in the home. Mature Christian couples gently and kindly respond to irritation. They dont let small conflicts fester into big ones.

Babies Go To Heaven Or Hell

Ryan, I note your point, people who claim children are innocent give no scriptural evidence or support for the claims. But what exactly is your conclusion on this subject: 1) Do babies go to hell or heaven? , and 2) What exactly should a concerned parent such as Amanda do to ensure their baby goes to heaven, in case it dies prematurely?

Babies Go To Heaven Or Hell

1) Mike, I note your strong and attacking language. I dont want to teach you how to blog, but what we are more interested in on this Blog is to learn from one another, rather than to abuse. Instead of *wondering about the mental health status* of those who differ with you on this subject, you would be more constructive if you gave scriptural evidence for your position so that others could assess it on balance and make conclusions.

Babies Go To Heaven Or Hell

2) Mike, those who differ with you on this subject have a genuine concern which they want addressed intellectually and scripturally, not emotionally namely that much as God is a God of justice and mercy, how does He reconcile this with the fact that we all born into sin? We all want babies to go to heaven and most believe they are innocent, but where is the scriptural evidence that they are innocent from the point of view original sin?

Babies Go To Heaven Or Hell

3) Does the fact that a baby *has not exercised the sin nature sufficiently to warrant judgement* mean it is innocent? Does a person have to exercise the sin nature before he can have it? Rebecca says * Even though we all are born into sin, babies dont have the knowledge of sin. So for anyone to say that babies go to hell are wrongly mistaken and need to study their bibles a bit more* - where in the Bible should we read about this?

Do Christians Fear Death

8)Unfortunately, because we live in the natural system, we have lost our supernatural identity unconsciously. A spirit being with a yet to be redeemed and glorified soul and body respectively, confuses himself with a carnal being who has only received a spirit; and although he believes this is a life-giving spirit, he thinks it does not defined who he is, until resurrection!

Do Christians Fear Death

9)When a person is truly crucified with Christ, he actually no longer lives or is identified by his unredeemed soul and body, even if they are the most visible; rather by the Spirit of Christ who lives in that person (Gal. 2:20). The fact that there will be a re-union of our born again spirit with a redeemed soul and resurrected body in the Millennial Age should not blind to who we already are in Christ Jesus.
