Don't confuse the 613 statues of God given only to the Israelites and the 10 Commandments given to all of mankind. God is more strict to the Israelites than of all mankind.

Christians Boycott KFC Chickens

Here is something for you all to google, as you quote scripture out of context (and even added to and taken away from). Simply GOOGLE the following "was KFC founder a mason" and realize that along with other mystery schools adherents like dave thomas, ray kroc, etc. that these people only got ahead in world business by the god of this world. Then talk about the REAL reason why you should not support their business. PERIOD!

What Is Righteousness

The Saturday Sabbath, unlike all the other sabbaths, is needed in today's world more than any other time in history. Christians have filled up every minute of every day doing something other than what scripture commands for christians to do: to walk with God. Christ did not abolish any of the commandments of which the Sabbath is the least. Christians have a hardened heart, and a very selfish one, concerning the Sabbath day. They don't want to give up their only day of the week from school and work to walk with God. They would rather do what is important to them: shopping, entertainment, being with friends and family, etc. Christians make all kinds of excuses to keep from walking with God and they teach it to others.

Please walk with God.

Youth Pastor Date A Non-Virgin

youth Ministry? Where is that in the bible. Separating young people from their parents and elders is new age religion. It is obvious why you ask the world a quesiton about the virginity of someone you care about, your without understanding of scripture.

Should I Approve An Atheist

She is your daughter. It would not be very Christ-like to deny her the common bond that you have as mother and daughter. There are literally tens of thousands of religions out there, and hundreds of Christian sects. Notice that many here are trying to push their personal agendas and judge your daughter, but I think the teachings of Jesus clearly point out that we shouldn't judge others and that we should show decency to one another. Perhaps if the two of you had a more open relationship, you could reach common ground. It is certainly not a sin to be honest about your feelings and beliefs, or lack thereof. I would venture to say that if a God does exist, he (or she) would appreciate honest disbelief over "faking" like you believe.

Belief In God And Darwin

Jerry 6593,

Horse bones have shown that Horses were small like dogs eons ago, you want to talk about Horses ? Wiki it and tell me there isn't mountains of evidence. You may dispute everything that science says, but my point is that the evidence is certainly there. New earth science seems hooky at best and as you can see I don't believe Scripture supports it.

Belief In God And Darwin

Part 2
The word "bara" does not mean, "create" (Hebrew actually has no word meaning "create" in the sense of something out of nothing) but "to fatten". If we take the literal definition of "bara" in Genesis 1.1 we have - In the beginning God fattened the heavens and the earth. What does this fattening of the heavens and earth mean? This verse is not showing the creation of the heaven and earth, but rather the fattening or filling up of something that is already there.

Part one
Hebrew word "bara" is a verb and is usually translated as "create" (New English Translations) 1 Samuel 2.29 - Why do you honor your sons more than me by fattening yourselves on the choice parts of every offering made by my people Israel?' The word "fattening" in the passage above is the Hebrew word "bara". The noun form of this verb is "beriya" and can be found in Genesis 41.4 - "And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows." The word "fat" is the Hebrew word "beriya".

I would say that yes, God made man and animals. I would also say that there is nothing wrong with evolution theroy. I am not a Christian and cannot speak to what a Christian can or cannot believe, but I spend endless hours trying to understand why Christians believe that the Hebrew Scripture excludes natural change in man and animals. There is mountains of evidence that evolution theory is correct and only questionable Scripture and Hapax Legoma to counter this, why couldn't a Christian believe both ?

Is Purgatory A Biblical Concept

Mark
You are assuming that "once saved always saved". Your right that salvation is a free gift of God. But I can choose to throw that gift away. God will never drop me from his hand but I can choose to jump out. Because he is a loving father he will take me back every time (after genuine repentance), no questions asked. But when I die the jig is up. If I am in his grace (because faith and repentance) I will join him in his house. If not then it was my fault for not accepting and keeping the free gift that he offered. As for purgatory it is not something that I will argue about. If it exists it exists, if it doesn't so be it. I just wanted to make it know that it is not a "second chance" as most people think.

Is Purgatory A Biblical Concept

I did not say that you can change your mind. I said that it is a purification before you enter heaven. The CC does not teach that works get you to heaven. You are saved by Grace. But you need to cooperate with that Grace and submit to God's will.

Is Purgatory A Biblical Concept

The Catechism of the Catholic Church defines purgatory as a "purification, so as to achieve the holiness necessary to enter the joy of heaven," which is experienced by those "who die in Gods grace and friendship, but still imperfectly purified" (CCC 1030). It notes that "this final purification of the elect . . . is entirely different from the punishment of the damned" (CCC 1031).

The purification is necessary because, as Scripture teaches, nothing unclean will enter the presence of God in heaven (Rev. 21:27) and, while we may die with our mortal sins forgiven, there can still be many impurities in us, specifically venial sins and the temporal punishment due to sins already forgiven.

Coming Of The Lord Rapture

The word Rapture is connected to the Latin word rapiemur, which appears in Pauls first letter to the Thessalonians in the Latin Vulgate translation of the Bible. It means to be raised up or caught up:

The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord. (1 Thess. 4:1617)

Therefore, those Christians who are still living at the Second Coming of Christ will be gathered together with those who have died in Christ to be forever with the Lord.

Should I Date A Non-Christian

You all refer to the old Testament, but what does Jesus say about this. After all he is love. Our relationship with God is the same as a christian dating a non believer. Christ died for us when we were yet sinners, and loved us though we were in the world . We also pushed against God when he opened his hand of grace to us. So don't say a christian can't date a non believer when Christ has done it himself.

Violent Take It By Force

This verse refers to the unseen warfare that every Christian must engage in against our three common enemies, the world, the flesh and the devil and the fact that we, oftentimes, have to force ourselves to do what we know is right and pleasing to god.

Doing what we know is right does not always come natural to us,but goes against our fallen human nature. However,if we make the effort to do what we know is well-pleasing to God,we dispose ourselves properly to be able to receive the Grace of God by which we are saved and enabled to enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Are Tattoos Wrong

I can attest to tattoos being a major influence in ones life. Not just for the person receiving the tattoo, but for those observing that person as well.
I'm a Marine. And as such, it's really easy for most people to overlook the tattoos on my body. But for me, it's so much more than supporting my Corps. And my God. I have the Marine Corps Emblem on my left shoulder, and the hebrew script for, "Yeshua Heals" (left wrist), and "Yeshua Saves" (right wrist). Time and time again I've been able to witness to marines in my platoon because of those tattoos on my wrists. I'm so blessed. God has turned something as simple as a tattoo, into a mission field. OORAH.

What If Big Bang Is True

atheist: "...Consider: WWI, WWII, The Holocaust, Hiroshima, ETC.....

Not only was "god" MIA, but he was apparently fervantly indifferent to the millions praying to him for help.

Ironically, both sides pray to "god" before murdering each other in battle."

Are man's thoughts God's thoughts? No. You will not know the worldly reason why God allows things to happen because you do not think in the spirit. People don't know when they are going to die. That's why we are told that once we hear the gospel to become christians. The world today is only a temporary place. At the second resurrection, all the people who died since the beginning will be judged from the Book of Life.

Origin Of Catholic Church

im not trying to offend anyone but im tired of people misusing the verse of Jesus telling Peter that, "upon this rock i will build my church". Peters name in Greek was Petros which means stone or pebble and yet the word used as rock or large stone is Petra. throughout the Bible Jesus calls himself the petra over and over again. this verse was a reminder to Peter that Christ was bigger than he was and that the church was built on Christ and none other. ive had catholics try to tell me that petra and petros were synonamous in the koine greek and only differ in Attic greek but the fact is that only 20% of greek historians and scholars agree with that statement. there is a difference in many koine greek texts.
