God's Unmerited Favor

Eloy, what do you understand by merit? In Luke 17 Jesus said that when the disciples had done all they were required to do, they had only done their duty. If I come short of my duty once, can I ever make it up by doing "more" than my duty? I must be misunderstanding what you are trying to say.

Girlfriend Wants To Date Others

True love will want her to be the happiest she can be. Generally, dating is a time of getting to know others rather than a commitment to just one. You want her to make an intelligent decision, so encourage her to have friends, to make sure you are the best one for her. She does not seem to have made this decision, so you certainly are not kept from having other friends that you might marry. Remember to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness--He will add all the other things you need.

Woman Usurping Men At Church

Secondly, before God their is neither male nor female, but all one in Him--Gal 3:28. God always will use whom He deemeth best and we must never reject His vessel, even if it be a donkey, Numbers 22:28-30. Our part will be to humble ourselves and pray, being reproved of Him.

Priest Says Genesis A Myth

When Jesus was here, He quoted Moses and the Prophets as being authoritative--the final word. Holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:21. Satan has always worked to cause men to doubt that word--whether the serpent in Eden contradicting God's statement or false teachers denying the Lord. 2 Peter 2:1. When God speaks, those who love Him say Amen.

Explain Ezekiel 37

Ezekiel 37 could also refer to God's ability and power to give spiritual life to people who were dead in trespasses and sins. Man would say there is no hope. God says, See what I can do! The old covenant was death, and God promised to give a new covenant to them, writing His law in their hearts, making them alive from the dead. In this sense we all are as "dry bones" before Jesus found us and we received His gift. We may look upon so and so as being beyond hope, yet Jesus says, Behold My power!

I Want To Know About God

Scripture says that in Jesus we see God--John 14:7, 9, & 15:24. In His story written in scripture to us is revealed in detail important truths about God--John 1:1-3, & 14, that we might behold His glory. Like the disciples you wish to see God (John 14:8). He answers, If you see Me, you see God (John 14:9). The work of the Holy Spirit is to take the things of God and reveal them to us--John 15:26 & 16:7-15.

Men Just Want To Go To Bed

I would like to address the part about what can you do. First, praise the Lord for preserving you pure. Seek to reveal by your love for Jesus that you are His child and live to bless and serve those around you as He opens the way. In blessing others, your light will shine, and others will glorify your Father which is in heaven for you and your witness. A pure, Christian gentleman is attracted to a woman whose eyes are focused on Christ and His will.

Why Is Saturday Sabbath Binding

Michael, for 1, see Genesis 2:1-3, Mark 2:27, Exodus 16:26, 20:10, 31:15, Leviticus 23:3, etc.
#2, say you were married on June 13th and someone wishing to celebrate it with you showed up on some other day. God created the earth in 6 days and then rested the seventh, I see no reason to show up on another day to celebrate with Him. My showing up or refusing to show up would not change the facts of what happened or He did, but rather my action would reveal how much I love or respect Him or you.

Evolution And The Bible

Ask yourself what you believe. Do you believe the Bible? Are you willing to let it be the Word of God to you? Remember Eve took the word of the serpent which directly contradicted what God had said--what have been the results of that choice? When you decide who you will believe--man or God, then you have your answer. God makes no attempt to prove truth, He reveals truth. In the Bible we have a divinely inspired record of the history of the world, of sin, and of redemption--God's plan of restoration.

Is Jesus Always Willing To Heal

No doubt Jesus wanted to heal all, yet did not because of unbelief. He knows best in each case--what gives the best witness to right and best opportunities to be saved--so He may not always heal. He "could" save people in their sins, but then sin, suffering, death, rebellion would go on forever. Therefore He "cannot" do this because of His love. As a child, we trust and say, not my will, but Thine. Since He lives by principles and not feeling, He will always do what is best.

Can You Solve This Puzzle

Straight snakes go crookedly, and crooked rivers tend to straighten themselves. Looking for other answers!

Does God Limit Man's Freedom

Whosover committeth sin is the servant of sin...If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:34 & 36.

What Cults Have In Common

Let us go back to the time of Christ. He being a man, said He was God-John 10:33. The Jews and Greeks thought His doctrine was new, strange, radical. Acts 4:2, 5:28, 24:14. To the Jews He was a stumbling stone because He did not subject Himself to them and they crucified Him out of the world. The Holy Spirit gave the apostles authoritative revelation--we call it the New Testament.

Dating But Legally Married

Sin is transgression of the law. It is possible they do not know the law and therefore God seeks to reveal its principle of true love to them. Just because I say, I am not a Christian would not change sin to righteousness. Loving God with all the heart and our neighbor as ourselves is God's law for all men.

Where Is The Ark Of The Covenant

The great original ark of the covenant, of which the earthly was a copy, was revealed to Moses in the mount (Exodus 25:40 & Hebrews 8:5), and seen by John in heaven (Revelation 11:19). As far as the Bible reveals, the original is still in the temple or tabernacle in heaven; and the copy made in the wilderness disappears after being placed in Solomon's temple and the temple is destroyed by the Babylonians. Some today say they have "discovered" this copy, but no proof yet that I have seen.

Considerations For Marriage

First and foremost both must be surrendered to Christ and seeking to be in harmony with Him, with His will. Divine love in the heart is a principle wholly from above. Only in divine love can human love find stability, an anchor, common ground. If this is truly there, then both will only do what He would want them to do. Just because both are saved, loving God and man, this is not sufficient. As each is unique the Creator knows just how to complement each need and strength.

Remarry If You Have Lust

Do not remarry until you have permitted Jesus to change your heart. Problems taken into marriage tend to become worse. Jesus wants to change your heart, to give you true love which desires what is best for others, not for yourself. Thinking of the "big three--Me, Myself, and I" means that selfishness still reigns in your heart. Jesus died that He might change your heart and give you peace, joy, and true love. Then you will be prepared to think of marriage.
