Am I Destined To Hell

(Part 1) A pastor I knew a while back addressed this issue once. He said that anyone who worries about this has no reason to worry, because those who are truly Hellbound wouldn't care: they will go back to their old ways without remorse, give up their salvation, and lose their conscience. As long as you still feel guilt for these thoughts, you have not commited the unpardonable sin.

Interesting 666 Theories

Here is one I came up with, but someone else probably came up with it before I did: Expressed in Roman numerals, "666" is read as "DCLXVI". This is, leaving out "M", the Roman numerals listed backwards. Perhaps the number of man is the number of one who does things backward from the way they were intended, who takes what God has given us and uses it for the opposite purpose. The omission of "M" might mean something, but I can't think of anything meaningful.

Stop The New World Order

....? Please define "New World Order." That could mean a lot of things.

Does God Send Evil To People

Much OT text uses the word "evil" in a different context than is usually thought of by most people. It can either refer to enmity or rebellion against God, or it can refer to some sort of catastrophe, like plagues or floods. The first is what God and his people see as evil, the second is what man without God's guidance sees as "evil".

Easter Play At Church

I'm not saying that anyone who hunts for eggs is bowing down to Ishtar, since so many of them are oblivious to Easter's origins. They sin, know not, and it is not sin to them. However, the truth is that Jesus was crucified on Wednesday, before the annual sabbath following Passover, and was resurrected on Saturday evening, at the end of the weekly sabbath. "Good Friday" and "Easter Sunday" align more closely with pagan tradition than with the Bible.

Easter Play At Church

To answer Rebecca D's previous question, eggs and bunnies are pagan symbols of fertility. And the word "Easter" is derived from "Ishtar," a pagan fertility goddess. The RC church created this celebration to make pagans feel more comfortable with converting, since they wouldn't have to give up their celebrations at the beginning of spring. And thanks to new evidence, we now know it's not even celebrated on the right day (He was resurrected on Saturday evening, just before sundown.)

Am I Destined To Hell

(Part 3) I guess that's what it comes down to: If you love God and still care what He thinks, you'll be all right. No matter what "mountains" may be in front of you, as long as you still rely on God, you can overcome them. Start relying on His strength more than your own, and it will become easier. Know that as long as you return to God, he will welcome you. Those who have committed the unpardonable no longer have any desire to return.

Am I Destined To Hell

(Part 3) As for why you're plagued by these thoughts, well, truthfully, most of us are at one point or another. I know I was, and I even partially fell to the temptation once or twice. I never FULLY went back, because I always said I "believed in God, but wanted to know more about the alternative" (Oh, what a misguided child I was!) I came way too close for comfort, but thankfully God protected me from going far enough to lose salvation, because deep down I still loved Him.

Will Pets Be Raptured Too

All life comes from God. I believe that animals, like all creation, are physical manifestations of God's essence. What separates man from animals is that man was given free will and laws. Animals cannot sin, for they have no law, only instinct. Even if they are left behind at the rapture, when they die they will return to God and be at peace.

What Is The Mark Of The Beast

Eliza: I've read only a small assortment of Kabbalistic things, but so far I haven't come across anything that goes against the normal concept of the OT teachings in any significant way. Is there something I'm missing? Are their more advanced teachings blasphemous?

Humans Lower Than Angels

While Jesus was on earth, he WILLINGLY gave up his power and became lower than the angels. He's not lower than they are now, and at any time during his first advent he could've reclaimed his power and commanded the angels. But he didn't. His giving up of his power is fundamental to his sacrifice, for with this power he would not have lived as a man.
