True Death Of Jesus Christ

Which is more important, Jesus' death or His resurrection? Isn't the point of the service to worship the Lord and what He has done for us through the blood on the cross? If there had been no resurrection, we would have no hope. We need to look at the whole picture to understand what Easter is all about.

The True Remnant Of Israel

The Bible says,"Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace." Romans 11:5 For more understanding, you can read Romans 9 - 11 or look up remnant in the Strong's Concordance.

When Should We Pray

The Bible says we are to pray without ceasing.(Eph. 6:18; I Thess. 5:17) There are a lot of scriptures on prayer. There are several types of prayers. The most important thing I've learned about prayer is - it is communicating with our Lord - when we have guestions, petitions, praises, thanksgivings...

Time Spent In Bible Study

I study the Bible about an hour everyday. I write down the verses that I want to meditate upon and research them. I bring them to prayer to seek more understanding and/or praise the Lord in them. Before I study, I ask the Lord to reveal new truth - what He would have me to learn and apply.

Life More Abundantly

Life more abundantly... I think growing up in the United States - or just being human, the definition for "abundantly" perhaps is different than what Jesus meant. Jesus has made my life more abundant - by His presence, His Word, His Spirit, His people. Any ideal or principle that we can hold on to - Jesus fulfills and extends to eternity. He exemplifies love, patience, kindness, wisdom. He gives wisdom and provides for every need. HE makes our lives abundant.

Done For Jesus Christ

I choose Him as my Lord each morning. I desire and try to encourage others in their faith and try to share mine.

I Hate My Husband

It doesn't sound like you are open to counseling. It would be a good idea to speak to a Christian counselor. You seem to hold a lot of hurt inside. Have you spoken to the Lord about it? The marriage vows were before Him. My concern is healing for you. I once learned being resigned to something is not acceptance. We can only gain peace and rest when we've come to terms with an issue.

Do I Need A Bible

Jesus says, "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26
How can you know what Jesus said without the Bible? If you believe the Bible is the Word of God, then you need to be reading it. One of the great wonders of the Bible is that you never learn everything in it.

What Is Holy Living

The best way for you to know the answer to "worldly things" is to cross-reference the Bible and see where the Lord uses that term. I know the Lord cherishes your desire to please Him. A good thumb-rule is "what do I feel comfortable doing in His presence?"

Poor People Make Good Christians

If you cross-reference the words poor and heart in the Bible, you will find it is not possessions or money that makes good Christians. Your confidence in what you believe comes from knowing God's Word - what He says.

Walk By Faith Is Impossible

We walk by faith. It is a walk you don't complete here on earth. True faith is possible and alive and well in Christian hearts. The Bible says, "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." Hebrews 11:6

Personal Relationship With Jesus

The Bible says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." John 10:9,10
Believing and accepting Jesus as our Lord and Savior is the first step in a personal relationship with Christ. He does talk to us, through the Holy Spirit and His Word. John 16:8-15.

Why Did God Take My Man

I can't answer for God, and your asking is a normal process of grief and healing. Your last comment was "to quickly leave me". Accepting God's timing takes time. Maybe it would help to thank the Lord for all that you learned, enjoyed, and healed from knowing this man. It might bring you comfort. I'm sorry for your loss. I lift you in prayer for the Lord to comfort you.
