Explain Genesis 6:3

The 120 years look forward to Moses. The lifespan genealogies of Gen 5, Gen 11 and Ex 6 end with Moses, the man who lived exactly 120 years. After this, the lifespan genealogies are no longer used. During the life of Moses God birthed His kingdom on earth and at Sinai God came and gave His law, His written law, to His citizens. Before this time interaction with God had been more tangible and unmediated. After this time God's government was mediated by men. K Jentoft
