Are Popes Infallible

2. You also know the injustice they did to the Jewish people all through the ages, Were those Popes also with special grace and without error? I think your comment is incorrect for many reasons. Remember this Jewish people are God's chosen people. The very one's that God set aside. Popes are not infallible, but human as everyone else but with authority and power which is worse then any human, for thier actions effect many in the world as you have just read recently on the papers.

What Would You Tell The Pope

Helen, you are correct in your answer. It has nothing to do with salvation, but is done in obedience to the salvation God has given the believer. Salvation does not need anything from us. What Eloy is saying is, that, you have no salvation if you are not baptized. Which is another mistake of his. He talks about Catholics but believes in their theory the same as he does with "works." "be deligent" denotes zealous persistence in accomplishing a goal. Timothy, like all who

Is It Possible To Not Sin

Ryan, I think your view of others is very wrong. Just because they are not perfect does not mean they don't want to be. No one is perfect Ryan, not even you. We are all imputed with the righteousness of Christ, but still live in the flesh so long as we are alive. Many Christians do have many things to clean up but a true Christian depends on the work of Christ in their lives not on their own works of righteousness. People like you and me know what the truth is already.

I don't understand what you mean Nana, by continuence. Maybe the passage in Mark can shed light to what you are saying. If you begin on verse 18, "Now these are the ones sown among thorns, (these are the lost) they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulnees of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." What is happening here is that John Mark begans explaining the difference

Can Man Save Himself

2. between two people, the Saved, and the unsaved. He begans to explain about the one's that sown among thorns; these are the unbelievers. they are the one's that hear the word but care more about money and material possessions but satisfy the desires of the heart. They also blind those who pursue them of eternal things, 1 Tim. 6:9,10. Then he speaks of the believers, those are sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit.

3. After identifying them he says, There is nothing hidden , and the purpose in keeping something hidden is so that one day it can be revealed. Jesus teaching was never intended to be just for the inner circle of followers. It would be the responsibility of the disciples to communicate the gospel of the kingdom to the world at large. (Matt. 28:19,20). And He goes on to say, Take heed what you hear.

Can Man Save Himself

4 With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear," (here is the distinction between the two people, the one's that can hear and understand are believers, the others do not understand when they hear the word of Truth.) more will be given. For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him,( those are the unbelievers.)that is talking about the hidden things of Christ.

Can Man Save Himself

5. "anyone who has ears to hear, let him hear" The one's who will understand spiritual things are the believers, and the message is to them. The lost will not understand what John Mark is talking about because they cannot discern God's Word. Just my understanding of that passage you gave. Thank you Nana for answering also. Just as Lisa has said.

What Are Jesuites

Emcee, I am really surprise at you speaking to Helen about her faith. You never do that to anyone that I have read. You seem to be making a selling of your church every time you speak to others. Implying that if they don't belong to the Catholic church somehow the house is divided. I see that in most of your statements. I believe you should look at your church with open eyes and see how much it is divided already.

I am Sorry Kathr, when I answer it seems as if I am answering you again so it was my mistake. Nana, I did put down Isaiah 64:4-7 so that you would not only put down what you did but to complete what Isaiah was saying in the whole context. It only shows the condition of man in its fullest and Paul made that clear also in discribing man's condition. No one righteous, no one that love's God, no one that does good, no one that seeks God.

Can Man Save Himself

2. I don't believe there is any question as to the depravity of man while lost. Blind, doesn't hear, dead spiritually to the things of God, child of the devil, in darkness, unable to change, until God comes along and changes him, in order for him to see, hear, understand, and gives him the gift of faith and repentance, through the conviction of the Holy Spirit all on account of Grace. Man on his own will continue his path, unless God saves him.

Can Man Save Himself

Kathr, lets look at the passage in Isaiah 64:4-7 since you like it, Again you gave a good passage that speaks as to what we are saying; "But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousness are like filthy rages; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away. And there is "(Now catch this very good)" No one who calls on Your name, Who stirs himself up to take hold of You."

Can Man Save Himself

2. Kathr, the quesion is not whether God can or not. He does is the answer and everywhere you look in Scripture, you cannot escape the passages of the Sovereignty of God. It is everywhere and no matter how hard anyone tries to refute it, they cannot because it is all God's Word. Every passage is about God, and His plan. Every passage connects but only one way.

Can Man Save Himself

thank you Nana, you are correct that we are as filthy rags. The good we do in faith is always for the glory of God. The good we do without faith, is all sin. Every believer now has the ability to do the good works for God but only because of the Holy Spirit's sanctifying each one. The job of sanctification is between the two, the person saved and the Spirit working together to become more Christlike. All our works in faith are for His glory

Can Man Save Himself

2. Clearly the work of salvation is of God. He changes your heart, puts His Spirit in you, and He will also cause you to walk to His statues. John 5:31, "For as the Father raises the dead, and gives them life, so also the Son gives life (now listen to this) to whom He will." Now doesn't this sound to you like it is Christ that gives salvation to whom He wills? I will wait for your answer. Maybe John was wrong and Jesus cannot do what he says he can.

Can Man Save Himself

Miss Morgan, you have answered correctly, for God does not reward disobedience. I don't think anyone has stated that. I don't know who would ever think that God credits rewards or gives people more grace for been disobedient. So as for your answer, it is correct. I find that much of what you say Morgan is very correct. Even when you answer others concerning obedience. One time I was going to answer someone and wanted to mention your name but didn't because I thought It might hurt your feelings.

Can Man Save Himself

Brother Alan, why don't you go and find someone else to carry this weight you carry. I am not going to go over anything with you. You are bound on speaking of something that is not even of God. There is websites for just talking. I will answer you any question on Scripture if you like. Your comments don't have anything to do with the Lord.

Can Man Save Himself

So Kathr, are you saying a man can save himself and change his nature? Please give passages to that effect. I would be more then happy to read them. "A new heart "I" will give you, and a new spirit "I" will put within you; and "I" will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. And "I" will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My statues and be careful to observe my ordinances."

Can Man Save Himself

You said it right Nana, "God is able of this stones to raise up children unto Abraham" Very true indeed. God is the one that is "able" to do that. Those people God raises will be able to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Matthew 7:24, clearly shows that only the one's that hear these sayings of His, and does them, but the others don't hear, so they don't do them. Only the believers will do them because they believe.

Can Man Save Himself

2. verse 21, "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father in heaven. The believers are the only one's because of faith, that do the will of the Father, the others do the will of their father the devil.
