Is Suicide Wrong
As Christians we live in the grace of God each day. As Christians we also die in that grace, whether by our own hand or not. It is a misunderstanding of this grace to believe that you have to ask forgiveness for every sin you have committed before you die. For example if you die in a car crash and were envying someone elses job (a sin) just before you hit the pole, you don't go to hell. In the same way just because you can't ask forgiveness for suicide (a sin), you live your days, as all of us do in the grace of God. The evidense of God's Spirit within us is loving others, being patient and kind...and this type of thing desperately needs that. Depression is hell on earth, biological and requires treatment with medication and therapy.

Celibacy For Catholic Priests
Hi guys, I thought you might be interested in what the bible says about forbidding of marriage, as is required by Catholic priests. I found it a little interesting.

1 Timothy 4:1
'The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.'

What Is The Gift Of Discernment
Has anyone experienced this gift more generally in terms of sensing different things in different environments/neighbourhoods?

Witnessing To An Atheist
Christianity shouldn't be seen as a set of beliefs, but knowing a Person who is pure in love, compassion and mercy. And who through His Spirit poured into our hearts we are gradually changed to be able to emulate.

What concerns me is many Christian's approach to those who don't know God, or who feel He doesn't exist, or who live lifestyles that we find offensive. They are not missions to be conquered and converted through pressure, arguments and quite often vehemence. People should be approached as people who are valuable, intelligent and thoughtful and who probably have a range of reasons why they have arived at this place. 'Be quick to listen' and then 'be prepared to give an answer to everyone for the hope you have' in love.
