Jesus Takes Our Sin
Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises..

David, this is what so many MISS. They either don't believe it, or just don't understand it.

Jesus Takes Our Sin
Paul taught obedience of faith, as James taught faith without works.....are saying the EXACT THING in different ways. The examples James gives ARE NOT THE 10 commandments. Rahab lying, and Abraham obeying God to sacrifice Isaac...are NOT the 10 commandments. Yet Abraham was said to have kept Gods commandments....WHICH commandments... The 10? NO! Those came 400 years AFTER Abraham.

And again David, as I pointed out before Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the law, that is the Law pointed to sin which pointed to death. Jesus fulfilled that including that moment of separation WE would have experienced FOR US, so that TODAY those in Christ can be assured, GOD SAID I WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU.

Jesus Takes Our Sin
It's interesting when someone doesn't like a verse it can be disqualified by saying...WELL, THAT WAS JUST SO AND SO's opinion Was Isaiah Isaiah's opinion too? Is Romans 5-8 Pauls opinion? More that you want to know believe that...barb for one.

We see a lot of that today with all of scripture people want to pick through.

In Adam all die. The reason for that Mark_Eaton was ORIGINAL SIN, death passed on to all man.

Job also before the Law of Moses, lived BY FAITH. So did Noah, Abraham, 400 years before the LAW, obviously had something beside the Law of Moses directing their way of righteousness.

Who Is The AntiChrist
Referencing Matthew, keep in mind that many thought Jesus was coming to set up His Kingdom reign ALSO PROMISED IN THE OT. And with that would be KINGDOM LAW, which would also have abolished the Law of that Jesus would be here to reign and rule. In John 6, Jesus confronted those very followers who believed that, and when Jesus said Eat my flesh and drink my blood, they walked away.....Jesus was pointing to His death and resurrection....not the earthly Kingdom.

If that happened, and Israel received and believed Jesus was their Messiah, there would be NO CROSS, and no FULFILLING of the LAW, and no ETERNAL LIFE or forgivness of sin ..(covering remember was temporary) . The Kingdom was only to be temporary as well.

CHURCHING. (All was derived from Augustine's beliefs....NOT JUDIASM. JUDIASM never taught child birth or procreation was a sin that needed purification. Just the RCCs distortion of purification.

Churching is thought to derive from a Jewish purification rite, where the sin of childbirth was washed away. Many people considered that childbirth made a woman unholy or unclean because it resulted from sexual activity, sexual abstinence and virginity being equated to holiness. People considered the purification rite, or rite of churching to be very important as it allowed the unclean woman to re-enter the church in a state of grace.
The rite was dropped by the Catholic Church after the second Vatican Council of 1967-65.

I know that ORTHODOX Jews if they convert, accepted Jesus Christ in the Orthodox or RCC ONLY because of the Priesthood!
---Nicole_Lacey on 11/6/16

That's because YOURS imitates the OT Priesthood Nicole. You just PROVED my point. The OT Priesthood was done away IN CHRIST. And today all believers IN CHRIST, are SANCTIFIED THROUGH THE BODY OF CHRIST ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Secondly Nicole, I SAID, Peter's 2 verses, is what WE believe is the NT Priesthood of EVERY BORN AGAIN BELIEVERS.

The OT priest( not 70 elders) were SET ASIDE, SANCTIFIED, AND HOLY UNTO GOD. In the NT every Born Again believer is SET ASIDE, SANCTIFIED, AND HOLY UNTO GOD OFFERING UP Prayers and supplication, and Praise etc, etc, ( NOT BLOOD).

Finish It Here__Oct, 2016
Nicole, re 1 Peter 5:2-9, shows NOTHING of Peter instructing anyone in anything remotely resembling the Priesthood of the RCC. It has nothing to do with administering Communion, hearing and forgiving prayers, being told they could not marry, or has anything to do with holding any place of superiority in a local church. YOU took the OT Priesthood and revamped it to your liking NOT FOUND IN NT SCRIPTURE. I believe Hebrews makes that quite clear your priesthood is BOGUS. You see in Hebrews see the office of the LEVITES has been done away. Now IN CHRIST every member is of the Royal and Holy Priesthood, to offer up prayers and praise unto God, meaning THE INDIVIDUAL PRIESTHOOD OF THE BELIEVER, is that doctrine we broke away from the RCC for.

Grace is "Unmeritted." and the law of Moses is meritted.

---john9346 on 10/31/16

John, please pay attention. The law was never MERITED FAVOR FOR SALVATION. For the Law could never save anyone. It pointed to sin. SO to use these two examples as opposites in proving unmerited favor, you have again lost the argument. Keeping the Law never MERITED anything, because scripture tells us NO ONE COULD KEEP THE LAW. If they could, then we would all be meriting favor under the Law. We see the Pharisees as even Paul UNDER THE LAW, thought himself BLAMELESS, never once said he merited favor or salvation. He shows in Phil 3 just how WRONG he was. He REJECTED JESUS CHRIST as all perfect law keeping Pharisees did.

Not Saved Comment
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

Galatians 5:11 And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? then is the offence of the cross ceased.

Galatians 6:12 As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised, only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

Galatians 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

Paul preach the CROSS, aka "By Grace through Faith" The Gospel,of Grace IS THE PREACHING OF THE CROSS.

Explain Matthew 23:1-3
1 Corinthians 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea,

2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea,

3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat,

4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

Ok Nicole, regarding these verses, does that mean today all are baptized unto Peter as well? If you are to stay consistent with your analogies, then we see this too is a false one claiming Peter is Moses Successor.

Finish It Here October, 2016
SOOOO Nicole, since all 4 Gospel accounts speak of TWO entirely different baptisms, one water, and one with the Holy Spirit and fire, how can you be so sure Jesus was referring to John's water baptism? Why would Jesus recommend a lesser baptism, when even John himself said Jesus Baptism was superior? Even Jesus told Nichodemus that one must be born of the SPIRIT. And we see Romans 6-8 gives a very clear teaching on exactly how one is born of the Spirit, called as being baptized into Jesus death so one can be in the likeness of His resurrection. RE: being born of the Spirit of the Life of Christ IN YOU.

Who Is A Saint
4th requires that a miracle has taken place through the intercession of that person. The miracle is usually a healing. The healing has to be instantaneous, permanent, and complete while also being scientifically unexplainable. Then the person is approved by a panel of theologians, and then the final approval lies with the pope. If this is the case, a person is declared a blessed.

5th , a second miracle is needed in order to declare someone a saint. The confirmation of a second miracle goes through the same scrutiny as the first.

Here is the RCC 4th and 5th requirement for sainthood. It must meet all 5 requirements.

Kissing Of Statues OK
Gnostics assert that matter is inherently evil and spirit is good. Gnostics believe anything done in the body, even the grossest sin, has no meaning because real life exists in the spirit realm only.

Second, Gnostics claim to possess an elevated knowledge, a higher truth known only to a certain few. Gnosticism comes from the Greek word gnosis which means to know. Gnostics claim to possess a higher knowledge, not from the Bible, but acquired on some mystical higher plane of existence. Gnostics see themselves as a privileged class elevated above everybody else by their higher, deeper knowledge of God.

Cluny and The RCC embody the 2nd part of the definition.

Who Is A Saint
Groups are called Saints as in the verses you provided for us. I can't remember a person being called a Saint in Bible.
---Nicole_Lacey on 7/18/16

That's an interesting observation, Nichole.
---David on 7/19/16

Interesting indeed. So interesting that individual sainthood by the RCC way must be unbiblical and must be a GROUP THING. Have we ever see the beautification of a GROUP?

Kissing Of Statues OK
But you are wrong.

Icons and statues are windows to Heaven. The VENERATION that we give is passed on to the person in the icon.
---Monk_Brendan on 7/19/16

Seriously Monk....a window to Heaven? OR is it mans imagination of what he thinks is Heaven? Not much different than those who tried to build a Tower to Heaven, and we see what God thinks of such Nonsense. Eye hath not seen nor ear hath heard of the things God has prepared for us, but they have been revealed by His Spirit, NOT BY PICTURES.

WHAT does God say about the imagination of man? He's not impressed, NOR is such nonsense a Christian practice. A pagan one YES.

Last Rights of the Church
Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Galatians 3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

Monk your last statement was ignorant. You may want to look up every verse using the word PROMISE. Otherwise you promote a distorted WOF doctrine of faith in your own imagination, expecting God to jump at YOUR command, rather than you bowing to HIS WORD.

Even your first Pope Peter says you CANNOT be partakers of His divine nature unless you put your faith in HIS PROMISES. Wow, what you are missing out on is truly sad.

Kissing Of Statues OK
St John of Damascus has written: " He deified matter, making it spirit-bearing, and so if flesh can be a medium for the Spirit, so can wood or paint, although in a different fashion.
---Monk_Brendan on 7/19/16

Again, this is how the RCC explains away Idolotry. That statement is Blasphemy. Wood or paint becoming a MEDUIM for the Spirit? You actually believe this garbage statement? Sure those who worship Buddah might be so gullible. They even leave it offerings of food.

So Monk here is getting you all greased up for one day worshiping the image of the BEAST, who will be said is God too, and we know millions of gullible RCC will fall hook line and sinker for that. Maybe Monk is the False Prophet....what say you?

Change 10 Commandments
It's obvious Nicole you don't know or even understand what coveting means. If you did, you would see the 17 verse of Exodus 20 sums up all the words stated before. Thou shall not covet ANYTHING. It has nothing to do with the item that is coveted as one being more important than another, therefore needs to be broken down. It doesn't. To covet someone's pig is just as sinful to God as to covet his wife. Wives shouldn't covet thy neighbors husbands either, OR THEIR INCOME, BIGGER HOUSE, etc. it's being jealous of what others have who may have more than you. Women even covet things other women have they don't, like a better job, beauty, etc. It's not being satisfied with what God has given you, but wanting what someone else has.

Change 10 Commandments
Here is the 10th Commandment. You will see it is not only all one verse, but all one sentence, with COMMAS, NOT PERIODS. Nor is it 6 commandments either. The RCC Catechism made this one commandment into 2, moving the 3rd commandment into #2, omitting the 2 commandment, making it look like it is with #1. Not only are we to have no other gods, BUT, we are also not to make graven images of ANYTHING OR ANYONE, including Mary or Saints or whatever.

17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
