Who is John Hagee?

It's rather obvious that some that post on this blog are not Christians, or are not familiar with the concept of being "born again". Review John 3:1-21

Who is John Hagee?

Personally, I find it difficult to sit under the tutelage of a pastor that is divorced. However, regarding the criticisms of him on this blog, they are way over-stated, at least he's not preaching mohammed's the last or true prophet of God. As far as his preaching goes, let's take our cue from the Lord - "But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. For he that is not against us is on our part." Mark 9:39-40. Also, "And Jesus said unto him, Forbid [him] not: for he that is not against us is for us." Luke 9:50.

Why Do Christians Judge Divorced

"And unto the married I command, [yet] not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from [her] husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to [her] husband: and let not the husband put away [his] wife." 1 Cor. 7:10-11
"And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except [it be] for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." Mat. 19:9

OK To Marry Divorced Person

Anna, to answer your question, it is ok in one instance only. If a man divorces his wife for the cause of fornication, he is allowed to do so. (See Mat 19:9) The Bible says marrying a divorced woman is adultery, not a man, for this reason.

Is This Prophetess Of God

According to my copy of the book, poor Bishop(?) Weeks lives in adultery with a divorced woman - Juanita. If she is a prophetess, how come she does not live according to the Word of the Lord? (see 1 Cor. 7:10-11) Doesn't it appear she's living large and loving it? According to the Word - "He [she] that loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him [her]." Test the spirits according to the Word.

It's actually seventy times seven (490), which means a lot.

Were you married in a church? Regardless, of whether you pretended to be Christians or not, Christ defined marriage as two leaving their parents and coming together as one. So two virgins coming together is marriage, and "The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth", "But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled." Nowhere does it say give up, keep praying and seeking the Lord. Stay in the Word.

How Do I Cope With Life

The advice to get a lawyer and seek child support is worldly. Instead, seek the Lord, be patient and trust in Him. Going through tests is part of being a Christian. Swallow your pride, pray for your husband.

Dress Code For Christian Women

I''m wonder if anyone can direct me to Christian denominations where women and men are urged to dress modestly, particularly where women and girls wear dresses, little or no make-up and long hair. I know about the Amish and Mennonites, but are their any denominations who are more of the world but still conservative dressers, believe in big families, etc?

My three previous posts were posted in reverse order, caused by the word limit on posting. Thus the seeming disjointedness of the posts. May the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ, guide you and keep you. +++

Did she even try adhering to this scripture? "But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to [her] husband: and let not the husband put away [his] wife." 1 Cor. 7-11 Whether she's a Prophetess or not, is moot, simply not valid, she is just an unrepentant sinner, like many. To take up the cross, and seek the strait gate, is not easy, only by His strength and grace. A lavish lifestyle, living in sin, seems a far cry from a prophetic ministry. Wouldn't you agree? +Seek Him+

Interestingly the very next verse, when Jesus says not one tittle of the law will fail, He says "Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband committeth adultery." Luke 16:18 Isn't Ms. Bynum divorced from her first husband?

"And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided Him. And He said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God. The law and the prophets [were] until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it. And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail." Luke 16:14-17
