I don't know which disgusts me more - Christians who fear the Second Coming of Christ because they fear His judgment, or Christians who eagerly yearn for World War III and the Apocalypse and the death of billions, just because that means Christ will return soon.---StrongAxe

Thats why I wish the pretribulation rapture teachings were true, so I wouldnt be here for all that suffering. If we are still alive when it happens, we will die for Christ. And honor to be sure, but not something I look forward to.

Grace Through Faith
(Matthew 5:18-19) For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle shall in any wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandmentsand shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the Kingdom of Heaven, but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus taught, until Heaven and Earth have passed away, we will have Gods Law. Could we be having this conversation, if Heaven and Earth have passed away?

Stay out of Pauls epistles until you know what Jesus taught, then Paul might begin to make sense to you.

Why Confess Your Sins
David what makes you think I do not obey the law of Christ?-kathr4453

Because this is what you told us on 1/13/19.

Because I died to sin David, I do not have to keep any laws.--kathr4453

As a Christian, you are under One of Two Laws. Either you are under the Law of sin and death, or you are under the Law of Righteousness. You are either a slave of sin, or a slave of righteousness. (Romans 6:16)

How do we know which Law we are under? To know, you must not only listen, but be able to hear the words of Jesus Christ.
(John 8:34) Everyone who sins is a slave of sin.

If you are a slave of sin, you are not under the Law of righteousness, least not yet.

Is 666 The Mark Of The Beast
The number represents the stature of the Antichrist, he will hold on Earth. The number of man, his authority, multiplied by three.

One six is the number of Man.
Two sixes is the number of a man who is king.
Three sixes is the number of a man, who is a King of Kings.

For Example:
I am a 6.
A president, or a King of a country, would be a 66.
The one who rules.... over the whole world, he will be the one and only, 666.

How can you know what I say is true? Who else could have enough authority to Lop off your head, if you dont get his Mark?

The return of Christ worries many Christians. The question is, Why are they worried about an event Christians should look forward to?

I wish the Rapture teachings were true, and not a Fable. But the Bible teaches there is much which must happen, before Christ returns.

Are You Truly Saved
The salvation of the sinner is an act of God alone and that is if he so chooses that particular person...---john9346

I agree.
Most church doctrines teach we are not saved by what we do,...which is very true. But...when you listen to the testimony of folks, they claim they were saved when they did something...sinners prayer...baptism..etc.

God saves those he favors, those who find themselves in Gods Grace.
How do we get into the Grace of God. It all starts with believing and acting on what Jesus taught in his Gospel. (John 14:21-23)

Why Confess Your Sins
No Kathryn,
I am not a Mormon, I am not schizophrenic, nor any of the things you have accused me of being. Your name calling simply shows me, I have put a crack in your armor. As for Nicole, she is a kindred spirit.

(2 Thessalonians 1:6-9) For it is a righteous thing with God to recompense with tribulation those who trouble you, and to you who are troubled, rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from Heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who know not God, and who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished.....

Notice this warning is not for those who dont follow Paul, its for those who dont obey the Law of Christ. The Law you have rejected.

Why Confess Your Sins
Now I am not applying this to David and Kathr's discussion. Because I just started reading these blogs. I just understand his last statement.---Nicole_Lacey

I am glad you understood my comparative, and thanks for confirming it. I believe Kathryn understood it too, but Sometimes the Truth hurts. To hurt is not my objective though, for I admire folks like Kathryn and their devotion to what they see as the Truth.

They remind me of Saul, before he became Paul. And look what God had to do to change his mind!

Why Confess Your Sins
How dare you.You just crossed the line. good-day.---kathr4453

Many folks, when shown biblical truth, are offended when the lights are turned on. Lets look at the logic in Jude by using a comparative, to see if you believe....Grace gives you a license to sin.

Its against our laws to hunt and fish, but...if you have a license, you are not under these Laws. Its against Gods Law to steal, lie, commit adultery or murder, but because of Grace, you say you are not under Gods Law.

You can clearly see in this comparative, using (Jude 1:4) NIV.
Jude is the one you should be angry with, not me.

Baptism A Public Testimony
Anyone can make any scripture say what they want, however all truth has 2-3 supporting scripture to keep us honest and not take scriptures out of Context.---kathr4453

And this is why you blatantly, continue to misinterpret Paul. The Bible says Two or Three witnesses, not two or three verses. You establish your doctrine by only using Pauls epistles. Here are my witnesses:

(Matthew 18:16) But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

(2 Corinthians 13:1) Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

To be taken seriously, you must do this.

Why Confess Your Sins
Most people, as you do, take Pauls teachings of the Law out of context. Go through every verse you gave me, and you will discover they all refer to the Law of Moses, not the Law of Christ.

Paul used Abraham as his example, not because he was not under the Laws of God, as many love to teach, but because the Law he was under, is much like the Law of Christ. Why did God bless Abraham?

(Genesis 26:4-5) And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries, and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because Abraham obeyed My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.

Why Confess Your Sins
I do not have to keep any laws.---kathr4453

You follow Paul, so this is what he would say to you.
(Romans 2:13) For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in Gods sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. How will you be declared righteousness, without obeying the Law? You see your fight is not with me...its with Paul.

If you dont have to keep any laws, you must have a license for immortality.
(Jude 1:4) For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Why Confess Your Sins
It appears I may be reading this differently than you are David.

Thats because Pauls epistles are founded on the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and you do not teach Pauls epistles on this foundation. Try reading (Romans 6:16-18) founded on (John 8:34).

(John 8:34) Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, Everyone who sins is a slave of sin

If you sin, according to Jesus Christ in (John 8:34), are you a slave of sin?

Why Confess Your Sins
Just answer this....if you no longer sin, why are you keeping the law?---kath4453

After you are born again, in the manner prescribed in (1 John 3:9-10), you come under the Laws of righteousness. This is the Law I serve under.

(Romans 6:18-18) Know ye not that to whomever ye yield yourselves as servants to obey, his servants ye become whom ye obey, whether of sin which leads unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness. But God be thanked that though ye were the servants of sin, now ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Obedience leads to righteousness...yes or no?

Why Confess Your Sins
Dear David I agree with you. But you made a small error in your wording. We are not put under law.---Samuelbb7

(Romans 2:12) For as many as have sinned without law, shall also perish without law, and as many as have sinned in the law, shall be judged by the law.

Paul said you will perish without the Law. If you perish, can you have Eternal life? When you receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit, you are put under the Law of God. Proof?

Samuel, that sin in your life, the one you try to keep, but can not keep. The only one you are punished by God, for breaking. This is the commandment Paul is referring to in (Romans 7:7-13). If you are not under the Law, why are punished when you break it?

Why Confess Your Sins
In the Bible, the Lords twelve disciples teach from the Gospel, the Gospel Christ taught to them. Paul repeatedly writes in his epistles, his teachings are founded on the Lords Gospel too.

You say your doctrine is founded on Pauls epistles. If Pauls epistles are founded on the Lords Gospel, and your doctrine is founded on Pauls epistles, why cant I find your teachings in the Lords Gospel, when I can find Pauls teachings in the Lords Gospel?

Now that is a mystery.

Why Confess Your Sins
David, exactly what is Pauls experience in Romans 7 you claim you experienced?---kathr4453

I experienced everything Paul said in the whole chapter, from beginning to end. His marriage analogy is especially telling. In it, he is telling us that in order for us to die to sin, our love for God, must be greater than our love for the world. When it is, we will die to sin.

This Love we must have for God, which causes sin to die, is accomplished through the Law. Everyone who follows the spirt of God, not the flesh, will eventually experience the mortifying of their fleshy desires.

But...if you do not put yourself under Gods Law, you will never love God enough to mortify the deeds of the flesh. (Romans 8:12-13)

Baptism A Public Testimony
David, I tried to give you words of encouragement, but for some reason it was blocked.---Nicole_Lacey

Thank you Nicole
I read what you wrote and It was real sweet of you. God bless you.

Why Confess Your Sins
How do you KNOW you've kept them enough for God to decide who to save? ---kathr4453

When you are born of God, and you have the sign given in (1 John 3:9-10).

My experience, before it happened to me, was the same as Pauls in (Romans 7). Basically, those who are born again, would rather die than sin against God. Its because they love God, and know sin does not please the one we love.

Baptism A Public Testimony
(John 14:23) 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Do you believe what Jesus says in (John 14:23),....God will love you if you keep his commandments? Can we have Grace, without the love of God? Can we call Jesus, Lord, if we do not keep his commandments?

If you really want to understand (Romans 5),you need to first understand the Lords teaching on how Grace is received, which is Pauls foundation for his Grace teachings.

We are saved by Grace...through faith. We show faith in Jesus Christ by making him Lord, and we can not make him Lord, if we dont keep his commandments.
