Fall From Grace

Yes!

Take heed, BRETHREN lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in DEparting from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called today, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end - Hebrews 3:12-14

Is It OK To Drink Wine

All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any - 1 Cor 6:12

Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin - Romans 14:22,23

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost - Romans 14:17

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ - Col 2:16,17

Jesus Asked Questions

Actually MarkV, I have seen many people give you scripture and then you claim later on that noone has ever done it.

Ive also noticed that when scripture is presented to you, you interpret it looking thru the "God only wants to save some" looking glass (which is erroneous in my opinion). Also you have changed the meaning of simple words so that the scripture bends to support that same preconceived belief.

I do not agree with your doctrine. To me it paints God out to be a monster who enjoys watching some people burn rather than seeing them repent.

Im simply disagreeing with the way some here snap at you.

Jesus Asked Questions

Can I make a suggestion?

(Heb 12:14,15)
Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God, lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled

(Matthew 18:20)
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them

(John 16:23)
Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

Lets just pray for him and cease from name-calling. That is simply hardening his heart further. Pray and believe God will open his eyes.

Biometric Devises Increasing

The little horn is the Vatican. Read the history of how it came into power along side of Daniel. 1260 years of killing saints (3 1/2 "times")

They rule the world still by secret societies even though their DIRECT rule received a "deadly wound" which they survived in 1798. Secret rule is "diverse" from all other kingdoms/beasts before it.

Jesuits/ Freemasons/ Illuminati setting up the world to be controlled by ONE ruler just as it was with Nimrod.

God has chosen his King already. Any allegiance we swear to any king other than Christ is the mark of the beast. The number of the beast is the number of a MAN.

This world is much farther into the book of Revelation than we realize.

Biblical To Remarry

You CAN remarry since your husband broke the vows by adultery, a sin punishable by death under the old covenant as the Moderator has shown. Your spouse is just simply no longer killed under the New Covenant.

Its one of the justifiable reasons for divorce according to Christ (Matt 5:32)

Paul also said:

if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases: but God hath called us to peace (1 Cor 7:15)

Explain The New Testament

Old Testament:

-Man must follow Gods laws
-If he falters he must make the appropriate sacrifice for his sins

(Hebrews 7:8-9)
-Man couldn't follow Gods laws perfectly
-Man stopped making the appropriate sacrifice for sin

New Testament:

-Christ made himself the perfect sacrifice for our sins (one time for all sins)
-His Spirit lives in us giving us hearts that desire to follow the law

The laws distinguishing Jew from Gentile have been abolished in His flesh(Eph 2:11-16)

What Is God's Will

Richard, did it ever occur to you that the reason Christ explained the parables to them was because they followed him?

What Is God's Will

RICHARD,

Not even the disciples understood the parables.
They had to have Christ explain the meaning of them.

Were the disciples "without"? Cmon now.

What Is God's Will

MarkV, its simple

God thru Moses:
"look upon this fiery serpent and you will be healed"

All who OBEYED the gospel/good news of the serpent and LOOKED UPON the raised serpent were healed/saved by Gods grace (though they didnt deserve it) thru their faith/trust.

God thru Jesus Christ :
"Look upon me, the Son, and you will be healed"

All who OBEY the gospel/good news of Jesus Christ from God and LOOK UPON the raised Christ are healed/saved by Gods grace (though we dont deserve it) thru our faith/trust.

We already have the ability to obey or disobey. (Deut 30:11-20) (Romans 10:5-13)

Its jAsheradan btw - not jEsheradan

What Is God's Will

1 Timothy 2:3,4
2 Peter 3:9
John 3:17
Colossians 1:27-29
1 John 2:2

These scriptures require NO speculation on the part of the man. They are very clear. No need for interpretation.

God desires all men to be saved. Christ died for all men. Not all will be saved though, because not all will obey the gospel (Romans 10:16).

The fiery serpent on the stick had the CAPACITY to heal everyone inflicted, but ONLY those who LOOKED UPON it were healed. Christ used this as an example of his role as Savior.

How To Beat Fear

MarkV, I am now fully convinced that you just dont read things thoroughly.

That is what Proverbs 16:9 is saying:

Mans chooses belief or unbelief (his path) - FREE WILL to choose

God determines how fast he proceeds down his chosen path (his steps) - PREDESTINATION to conformity

It does not support God predestining men to unbelief and damnation! (He has no pleasure in the death of the wicked- Ezekiel 33:11) It supports the exact opposite.

My other point is that scripture does NOT say (as you seem to believe) we must believe in predestination to salvation or damnation in order to be saved. It says we must believe in and call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How To Beat Fear

MarkV, there are people here (your brothers and sisters!) who believe Jesus is God in the flesh and have called upon his name for salvation just as scripture directs us to - not only to be declared not guilty by him but to be blessed with the power of his Holy Spirit so that we can overcome our sinful natures. Yet you doubt their salvation because they don't believe in "limited atonement"? Thats sad, Mark. Truly sad indeed.

When you claim men are "saved" before they even know Christ and thats why they call upon him, you prove to everyone here that your faith truly lies in election and not in the blood and resurrection power of Jesus Christ. I pray the LORD opens your eyes before you pass into the next world.

Explain Matthew 25

"Are you saying that God is obligated to love us because we are obedient to Him?"--Christan

If God (in Christ) promises to love us and make himself manifest to us if we love him and keep his law then YES He is obligated.... by his own promise! God is holy! He does not lie.

How To Beat Fear

Scripture confirms scripture.

Proverbs 16:9
A man's heart devises his way: but the LORD directs his steps.

The man, Pharaoh, chose his own way ...

(Exodus 3:19 -- And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand)

The LORD directed his steps/pace ...

(Exodus 4:21-- see that thou do all those wonders before Pharaoh, which I have put in thine hand: BUT I will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go)

God prolonged the captivity to show His power thru Pharaoh's rebellion (Romans 9:17)

How To Love Jesus

Nothing like asking for scripture and then attacking a person for giving it.

Francis is right.

Since Gods laws are based on love for Him, ourselves and others, the only way to show your love for Christ is to follow the law the best we can.

How To Control Sin

"These same men had no FAITH to enter the promise land= salvation, Hebrews 3 and 4 back that up."

"But it is GOD who uses this same FAITH application in John 3:14-17.
"--- Kathr

Preach it, sista!

Does God Even Exist

MarkV, I know you love your son. My question was, do you think God loves your son and wants to save him?
---Jasheradan on 7/13/13

Why do you think I pray to God for him? Because I know only God can change his heart towards Christ. Only God can give him the faith to believe.
---Mark_V. on 7/13/13

I don't know if my son will be saved or not. Or whether you will either. I don't know the mind of God and who He chose before the foundation of the world.
---Mark_V. on 7/14/13

Mark, why would you bother praying for your son NOW if Gods decision on whether or not your son would be saved was made over 7000 years ago?

God Of Love

"You could have the best and biggest influence on your son getting saved if only you understood the doctrine of God and Salvation.
---Elder on 7/14/13"

Amen!

1 Cor 7:12-16

We do have a influence over our loved ones who are unbelievers and can even save them by sanctifying them with the truth.

MarkV, this doctrine you believe and preach only keeps people from the love of Christ. It teaches them that He may not want to save them in the first place. No FAITH will come from that horror. Maybe this is how your son currently feels. There is still time to save him if you repent from this heresy.

God Of Love

Sorry for hijacking. I think my favorite part of the gospels is where Jesus is washing the feet of his apostles. Thats shows an amazing amount of meekness and love from a God who had every right to cast us from his presence.

Hes the king who came to serve and the God who washed our feet. (Love that song by the way. Lincoln Brewster - More Than Amazing)
