How do you explain when Jesus explicitly said to Mary, "my Father, your Father, my God, your God?"

What Is A Doctrine

There are two resurrections: the first at the soon to return of Jesus where the dead in Christ shall rise first and the living shall be caught up with the dead and the second at the end of the thousand year reign of Christ where all the other dead from all of history shall rise and be judged from the Book of Life according to their works some to everlasting life, some to everlasting death. Blessed are the ones who rise in the first resurrection. (Revelation 20)

Who are the dead in Christ if the saints are already in heaven?

Authority Of The Government

Nicole wrote: "The Press had power in the past..."

The press (and social media) still continues to influence people today. How do you suppose that gun control is becoming popular and the flu vaccine continues to be injected?

Only ONE gospel that Jesus and the apostles taught - and every true christian thereafter: The soon to come Kingdom of God. Nothing more, nothing less. They also taught how to populate God's kingdom from where we are now and that is LOVE (as in the verb form). Without works, faith is dead.

Israel and the true church (the christians) ARE one. Christians are grafted into the jewish line and are given the promises of Abraham.

God's grace is his mercy upon all mankind from the beginning.

There is one difference between the OT and the NT. All the laws are the same. The only difference is the OT in of a physical nature and the NT is of a spiritual nature.

So, catholics dont worship dead people / statues? Lets take an example of which Im familiar with:

The Feast of San Gennaro

This is an Italian-American festival in the U.S. which began in Italy to celebrate Saint Januarius, the Patron Saint of Naples. This feast day is September 19 in the liturgical calendar of the Roman Catholic Church.

Catholics rub his statue for good luck. The pope never reprimands anyone from doing so.

And what about burying a statue of St. Joseph in your yard so that he will work hard to sell your house. This is done more often than you think.

A person does not need to belong to a denominational "church" to believe what is written in the bible. Belonging to a denominational "church" is detrimental to the spiritual health of a person.

As I have said many times before Satan has had over two thousand years to divide christiandom up into over 75,000 different denominations each having their own ritual, traditions, ways of living and interpretation of the bible.

Is Christ divided?

Authority Of The Government

The Press has more power than you think - even more powerful than all three branches of government put together. It's the power of the written word. They have the power to create and to destroy people's lives. Politicians and the general public are influenced by what is written/spoken in the news.

Two good sources of how the written word has influence over people are the Bible and the Koran.

What Is A Doctrine

Nicole wrote: "... by what authority does an outsider have to define another's doctrine?"

Divine authority of what is written. Walk into any roman catholic church (yes, nicole, roman) and notice the feet of the statues especially the statues of Jesus and Mary. Notice that the feet are worn down by people rubbing them for good luck or to answer a prayer. People have altars in their homes having statues ofJesus, Mary and the saints. If your supreme leader, the pope, that you worship is any kind of leader of God, then he would have all statues destroyed. Your pope knows this is happening, but says or does nothing.

Denominational leaders of today are like the Scribes and Pharisees of Jesus' time who weigh people down with religious baggage regarding rules and practices about food and rituals and days of worship that they become burdens. But when we listen to and obey the things Jesus said, He lifts off all that dead weight and allows us to enter into His rest (sabbath). (See Hebrews 4:1-11) & #65279,

The ultimate commandment of God is love - as in the verb form. Unfortunately, love has practically evaporated from the face of this world.

Let me put it this way: Pope Francis is working for Satan.

You so-called "catholics" are being lead by a false prophet who is taking you to hell. You worship the pope than Jesus. For instance, Pope Francis, on the Feast of the Holy Family in Vatican City, said Jesus had to beg forgiveness thus implying that Jesus committed a sin! The pope also said that the bible is a highly dangerous book and that Jesus' life ended in failure.

And you are still following catholicism? Revelation 18:4

She only studied it the way the catholic church wanted her to know.

Nicole wrote: "Judging is forbidden Matt 7:1."

So, you think that we shouldn't discipline our children?

You need to dig deeper into scriptures about how to use judging.

Cluny wrote: "Once more, you're wrong Steveng."

Prove to me that I'm wrong. Besides, I would rather be wrong in your eyes than in God's eyes.

StrongAxe wrote: "The Catholic church does not teach worship of statues,.."

They don't reprimand anyone that does. I know more about the (Roman) Catholic Church than any one on this site for I used to be one and studied it for over ten years.

Mary is dead.

The Hail Mary prayer implies that she is still living. Mary is a sinner just like the rest of us and needed a savior. Luke 1:47, Ecclesiastes 7:20

It is forbidden to bow down and worship statues, but yet that's what the catholics do. Exodus 20:4-5

Although catholics do bow down and worship Mary statues, the pope never says that is wrong. 2 Timothy 4:3-4, 1 Timothy 4:1, Proverbs 14:12

Jesus is NOT God, he said so himself. John 20:17

We are to worship God alone. Isaiah 42:8, Revelation 19:10

Apostles Write About Jesus

Cluny wrote: "Why is this a mistake,"

Because, by dividing a piece of writing up into smaller writing increases the misinterpretation especially by today's over educated adults. Imagine writing a three-page personal letter to a friend and dividing it up into verse numbers. It would definitely cause confusion in the reader's mind and taking verses out of context.

True christians are to pray only to God. Catholics pray to Mary, a dead person. The Hail Mary prayer implies that she is still alive (Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee).

Cluny wrote: "Steveng, St. Paul said that when he became a man, he put away childish things."

That's true, but I was not getting at.

Cluny wrote: "He also wrote that we are NOT to be children in understanding."

That's not true - and in your own words "give BCV."

"Through the eyes of a child" is an old saying meaning "read what's there without analyzing it." The reason why we have so many bible interpretations is because adults are too educated and analyze every little word, phrase and sentence. The biggest mistake about today's bible is the addition of chapters and verses. This is the main reason that it is written that we "hear the words of God."

So, are christians to obey nine of the commandments, except the fourth?

Matthew 5:1718

As for the verses Romans 14:5, Colossians 2:16-17:

Those that are strong in faith will keep all commandments, those that are weak in the faith only obey some of the commandments.

StrongAxe wrote: "...English have multiple meanings..."

Read the bible through the eyes of a child, not an educated adult.

nicole wrote: "I am not saying it's wrong to have a Bible. I'm saying JESUS didn't tell them to have a Bible."

Jesus and the apostles taught from what was already written - the OT, the Septuagint. Matthew 5:17-19

The apostles didn't need anything that was written. It was the Holy Spirit that brought what Jesus taught them to rememberence. John 14:26

The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin, comforts us, guides us, gives us spiritual gifts and the desire to obey God, and he enables us to pray and to understand God's Word.

Have you not read the bible? If you have read the bible, you would have already answered you questions. Your answer is written from Genesis to Revelation.
