Loved Ones Are In Hell

Nicole, I was agreeing with you. There is no time in Eternity. God, who lives in Eternity and is Eternal speaks to us using time so that we can understand. What do words like forever, everlasting, eternal, etc. mean in Eternity?

Eternal punishment is the second death. I hesitate to say this, but it is God who puts an end to all sin and sinners and when God puts a person or spirit to death, they are gone. Hell and hades are thrown into the lake of fire and God creates a new Heaven and Earth.

Please read Malachi 4:1-3 again. There might be more to it than you think. I see some interesting time elements there.

Not sure what you mean about marriage and babies.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

Nicole, time has nothing to with it because as you said there isn't any.

You don't seem to understand that God will create a New Heaven and a New Earth because the old one will have passed away. Rev 21:1. Hell/hades will be thrown into the lake of fire which will cover the whole earth. This same fire will burn until it puts itself out when it runs out of fuel...bodies and souls to consume. There will be no sin or sinners in God's Kingdom. Matt 13:37-43.

There is no more death because the lying murderer, who is Satan has been obliterated in the fire along with all sin and sinners, therefore there is no need for a place called Hell. Rev 21:2-8.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

Nicole, the words eternal life are used for the sheep. The opposite of eternal life is eternal death which is the punishment of the goats. Matt. 25:46.

Please keep in mind that an unquenched fire is one that has not been extinguished. It burns itself out. Ezekiel 20:47.

Some other verses for you to consider are Malachi 4:1-3, Matt. 10:27-28 and Rev. 20:13-15.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

Js1234, my understanding is that hell is not eternal. I could give you bible verses to back this up if you would like to read them.

When Jesus' disciples said that Lazarus was dead, He corrected them and said Lazarus is asleep. No one is burning in hell or flying around Heaven right now. God is going to make everything new, new Heaven and Earth. Hell, everything and everyone in it will be burnt up. Gone.

There will be people in Heaven who have never heard the Truth preached to them. God knows who would have followed Him and His Son if they had heard Truth instead of the lies spread through Satan, who according to Jesus was a liar and a murderer from the beginning.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

Cluny, I don't know that I won't be among them. That was my point. Matt 24:4-14.

Thank you for your correction. I should have asked "how do any of us know that we will not be joining our loved ones in hell?" I did not mean to imply I would or would not be. The verdict is God's, not mine.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

Who has assured you that you won't be joining your loved ones in hell? "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord...." Matt 7:21-27. Has that day come already?

Many will be casting out devils and doing great works in Jesus' name without listening to His voice? That is what those Christians in Matt 7 are doing. They are using His name but listening to the voice of a stranger. John 10:1-5. It is not Jesus doing the works or the casting out.

Jesus said follow me. "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me." and "you believe not because you are not my sheep". John 10:24-30. Believe what? His words, His testimony, the Truth which He received from His Father.

Jesus Action Rewards

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works." Matthew 16:24-27.

It is important to read the previous verses to see the truth that Jesus is teaching here. The upside is salvation and eternal life. The downside is the loss of your soul and eternal death.

Not A Church Member

God's Kingdom cannot be found in a church. His Kingdom is in the Spiritual Realm not in a physical church building. John 17:14-26.

Jesus preached on the mountains, from boats and in the villages and towns. The few times He taught in the synagogue He was persecuted and the leaders sought to kill Him. John 7:14-32.

The churches are the same today. Should Jesus walk in, they wouldn't recognize or acknowledge Him as teaching the Truth. I want to be a member of the Kingdom where Jesus, Himself laid the foundation. Matt 21:33-46.

Resurrection To Ascension

Nicole, I was talking about the 11 eyewitness apostles that Jesus chose and sent out to all nations. You are talking about the writings of Luke who was not an eyewitness to Jesus. There is nothing left for me to say that would be of any interest to you so I will leave you to carry on this discussion without my input.

Resurrection To Ascension

Nicole, what I am trying to convey is that God has left nothing out in regard to truth and salvation. John 17:5-8.

From where do rituals, doctrines and practices not found in the teachings of Jesus originate? They come from the traditions of men and Jesus warned us about this in Matthew 15. My understanding is that if we reject His words, we reject Him.

"This people honor me with their lips but their heart is far from me, teaching as doctrine the percepts of men." Matt 15:1-14.

Resurrection To Ascension

Nicole, Jesus said that it was the words that He had spoken that would judge those who reject them. "He who rejects me and does not receive my words has one who judges him, the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day." John 12:46-50.

His signs, miracles and works were proof of who He was and were performed by Him through His Father. His teaching was His testimony to the Truth. John 18:37. My point is that everything we need to know about salvation has been given to us by God who spoke through His Son. Matt 7:21-27.

Resurrection To Ascension

The verse in John 20:25 does not say that the teachings of Jesus were not recorded but that many things He did were not written down. "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples that are not written in this book." John 20:29-31. Perfect harmony with John 20:25.

After His resurrection and before His ascension, Jesus sent His disciples out to All Nations to teach everything that He had taught them. Matt 28:18-20. Do you think the apostle John ignored Him and left important details out of his writings? That cannot be true because the book of Revelation was entrusted to John.

What Is The Gospel

Michael, the Apostle John understood. Read 1st John 4:9-11 which John wrote after Jesus' resurrection.

John did not need Paul to explain it to him, in fact John has this to say, "These things I have written to you concerning those that seduce you. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you but as His anointing teaches you about all things and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, abide in Him." 1st John 2:26-29. This is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. John 20:19-23.

What Is The Gospel

Michael, the answer to your question can be found in Matthew 26:26-29.

"For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for forgiveness of sins." Matt 26:28. Also see Matt 20:28.

What Is The Gospel

No, Michael, my bible does not stop at the book of Acts. Does your bible stop at Matthew when Jesus begins His preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom?

Kathr, I am not afraid of Paul. However, I am afraid for those who put his words above the Law and the Prophets and the testimony of Jesus. Rev. 12:17.

This will probably fall on deaf ears but I will say it anyway. Ephesus is the only church that Paul wrote to that made into the 7 churches of Revelation and they were commended by God for trying false apostles and finding them to be liars. Rev. 2:1-7.

What Is The Gospel

Michael, Paul was walking the earth at that same time as Jesus and yet he was not chosen to be a disciple of His nor was he ever mentioned by Him unless you count Rev 2:2.

The Gospel of the Kingdom is all about the words, teachings and preaching of Jesus Christ. He was the Passover Lamb who paid the death penalty for those who would believe in His testimony and those who seek to enter His Kingdom.

Paul tells us nothing about the testimony of Jesus. We would know nothing of His miracles, parables and teachings if not for Jesus' eyewitness disciples.

You make it sound like Jesus' only purpose was to die on the cross but that is contrary to His words. John 18:37, John 12:47-50, John 8:31, Matt 28:18-20.

What Is The Gospel

The true gospel is the gospel of the Kingdom that Jesus preached. Matt 4:23, Matt 9:35. The gospel of the Kingdom is the testimony of Jesus. John 18:35-37.

"And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a Witness unto all Nations and then the end shall come." Matt 24:14.

Salvation Versus Religion

Religion is a set list of beliefs, rituals and doctrine.

Salvation is the Truth found only in the teachings of Jesus Christ who was sent here by His Father to testify to it. John 18:36-37 John 17:17-26. Also see John, chapter 3 and Matthew 19:16-24.

Are Christians Gullible

The problem is that Billy Graham and many others do not listen to Jesus. They have let themselves be deceived by men. Matt 24:1-14, Matt 17:5.

What doctrine did Jesus teach? Religious leaders today tell us that the old teaching has been replaced by new doctrine. How can that be? "Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away." Matt 24:35.

"My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent me. If any man will do His will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it is of God or whether I speak of myself. He that speaks of himself, seeks his own glory but he who seeks the glory of Him who sent him, the same is true and no unrighteousness is in him." John 7:15-19.
