Real Text Or Real Interpretation

Hi, Monk Brendan (c: I do not think leaders in the apostolic . . . obedient . . . succession ever were corrupted. I think God has always succeeded in having His real, approved leaders, but they possibly were not recognized by religious groups who had political power and public control. Such obedient ones were not necessarily Catholic or Protestant.

Their leaders met the standards like you might have read in the First Epistle of Clement, which Catholics claim was written by a pope . . . though it says "we" and "us" and not "I" and any name. These standards are a match with 1 Timothy 3:1-10.

God has always succeeded with His people, though big-namers might not acknowledge this.

What Is The Fruit Of Spirit

Well, John 15:1-16 is about abiding in Him. And a branch with fruit grows.

Some people say it is not "fruits", but it is fruit > if you have one, you have all. Because it is worded "fruit of the Spirit" > somehow it seems singular to me, not plural.

Well, an apple is crispy, sweet, juicy, maybe red, nutritious > all in one fruit.

And "love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" is all in God's love. We grow in this, becoming sweeter and juicier in Jesus (c:

Explain Matthew 22:37-40

"Hmm . . . beneficial"

Yes, Jesus when He rose from the dead was "a life-giving spirit." (in 1 Corinthians 15:45) He makes us alive in love, and we in Jesus can help to make each other alive in His love . . . life-giving. This is beneficial (c:

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

God's love makes us gentle and quiet, and this is preciously pleasing to our Father, so we are loving Him by being so pleasing to Him. And this gentleness and quietness can spread to others, with God's power making others also gentle and quiet in His love.

Is A Building A Church

No, I don't think the building is what Christ had in mind.

We are the temple . . . right, honey?

Yes, we are . . . not only an "individual", but we are, together . . . "members of one another" (Romans 12:5, Ephesians 4:25).

So, it's not the building or the individual, but it's the one body of Christ >

"For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones." (Ephesians 5:30)

"And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32)

So, it is not about what to do with money, but how to love.

Is Everyone Heaven Bound

I don't think that was what early Christians believed.

Jesus is "the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through" Jesus (John 14:6).

Also, Paul says there is "the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience" (in Ephesians 2:2). This evil spirit will go to the flaming sewer which burns with fire and brimstone. And fire keeps it there and under control, I understand. Satan and his children won't reason, but fire can control them. People of this evil spirit will go with it where it is going. Why be a sewer bucket of anger and hate and unforgiveness and fear and other filth?

Jesus gives us "rest for your souls." (in Matthew 11:28-30) Why avoid this????

How To Receive Wisdom

"But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts, do not boast and lie against the truth. This wisdom does not descend from above, but is earthly, sensual, demonic." (James 3:14-15)

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy." (James 3:17)

So, wisdom is not only smart understanding of what we know. We need to seek our Father for His correction of our character > Hebrews 12:6-11.

Is This For Real

"For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God, and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17)

So, we need to seek our own correction > Hebrews 12:4-11 > and make intercession for "all who are in authority" > 1 Timothy 2:1-4 > and

"No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:4)

So, don't get tangled with wrong ones who are trying to use this to make themselves look good, by comparison (2 Corinthians 10:12).
