Does God Forgive Remarriage

I do not believe that anyone that is seeking God and desiring to follow Christ should divorce and remarry. This is absolutely in the Scriptures. But if a sinner has remarried and then is shown the truth and desires a relationship with God, I do not believe it is required of them to leave the one they are with and be alone. It reminds me of David, who had Bathsheba's husband killed and married her, but when God brought this to David's attention, David did not leave Bathsheba, but did suffer the loss of their son. But he did regain a right relationship with God.

Family Member Is An Alcoholic

Let me say this once. There is absolutely nothing a family member can do to stop the alcoholic!! Pray, give them to God and really let go! This is not any of your faults, you need not feel guilty, you need not try and help them stop because it will not work and only cause you pain, suffering and grief. Mentally, emotionally and every other way it will destroy all that is good in your life. Get away from them if you have to move 3,000 miles away. This is a choice they are making and you are in no way responsible for thier actions. Give them to God or you will get sucked into thier pain. After 35 years of this I knnow what Im talking about!!!

Husband Addicted To Anger

I am 16 years married, 2 fabulous children and a wonderful provider as a husband. It just feels like Satan enters his realm and he doesn't even know what he is doing. I cringe at the thought of my children thinking this is normal

Can Christian Spirit Die

Those who believe in eternal torment believe God gives eternal life to everyone. But John 3:16 and numerous other scriptures say only those who believe in Christ receive eternal life. So says John in 1 John 5:11, 12.
Without Christ there is NO life, therefore the wicked cannot be living in eternity, not in heaven nor in hell. They cease to exist.
That's what Paul meant when he said, "The wages of sin is death"(Roms. 6:23). Not eternal torment. The idea that the God Who "LOVE" could torture people as some believe is strictly a pagan concept brought into the Christian Church by the church at Rome!

Should Churches Be Taxed

Jesus said, "Render to Caesar those things that are Caesar's and to God those that are God's" (Matt. 22:21) It would mean a change in our Constitution to tax the Churches. Our founding fathers who designed the Constitution had in mind to keep the State separate from the Church to avoid the circumstances that developed during the tyrannical reign of the Roman Church during the Dark Ages. They recognized that the Church fosters law-abiding citizens and peace and they play an important role in securing the favor of God for the nation. Hence tax-exempt status for property used for religious purposes.

Church Blesses An Affair

I disagree with Always-on. The law of this country does not interfere with marriage ceremonies or weddings or the rights of ministers to perform or refuse to perform marriages. I am a pastor and have on occasion refused to perform marriages I deemed unscriptural or unhealthy. No
law regulates that at all.
In fact some churches regulate what their ministers can or cannot do in this matter. But, never the State.

Husband Doesn't Want Son

Among the many symptoms of today's society as listed in 2 Tim. 3:1-5 is "without natural affection". This malady is prevalent today. Your situation is not rare. Do think your husband would leave if your son came for a while? What does he mean choose between them? Did your son leave home under trying circumstances? It's difficult to counsel without more information. How would it interfere with his life?
I will pray that agreement can be reached. Perhaps you could help your son find other accomodations for the three months.

When Did Roman Catholism Start

Paul, wrote a letter "To all that be in Rome..." (Romans 1:7) Obviously there was a Christian church there in his day. It survived by God's grace the tyrannical rule of the Caesars and Barbaric invasions. Following the collape of Rome in the 4th or 5th centuries , the Bishop of Rome (church elder)
assumed the rulership of the State. Early on, that church, in order to win unfluence, political and spiritual, lowered its standards. Extra-Biblical practices such as infant baptism, baptism by sprinkling, the worship of Mary, the sign of the cross, worship on the sun-day rather than the Sabbath, etc.
began to be accepted and the church at Rome corrupted, spiritually. Gradually, the Bishop of Rome assumed greater and greater power.

Miss The Traditional Church

What do you mean by "Traditional"? The Catholic/Eastern Orthodox churches are the MOST traditional. In fact, they emphasize the traditional rather than the Bible! If there is a question of faith or practice, they will go with tradition. Very little of their religious worship or rituals can be found in scripture or early Church practice. Be aware! Find a church that trusts ONLY in the Bible for salvation because that's what Jesus told us. John 14:6

When Was Genesis Written

Most Bible scholars believe Moses wrote the first five books of the Bible. He was inspired by the Holy Spirit to write. See 2 Peter 1:19-21. The word "prophecy" means teaching or preaching.
If one doesn't accept the teaching that God inspired the writing of the Bible, then we have no sure guide. I choose to believe the Protestant Bible to be the infallible word of God.

Are Christians Jews

Galatians 3:27-29-When we accept Jesus as our Savior and are baptized, we become the seed of Abraham (Israelites) and heirs according to (God's) the promise. Technically, Jews were inhabitants of Judah. God's people were called Israelites.
Many of the rituals of the Old Testament church were actually prophetic in nature, pointing forward to the ministry and death of Jesus. Thus, those prophetic rituals met their fulfillment at the cross and were no longer required for faithful living. See Col. 2:12-14. That is why, as Jesus died on the cross, the vail in the temple was torn from top to bottom by an unseen hand, signifying an end to those sacrificial services.

Can Christian Spirit Die

When you understand man's creation, you need not ask this question. Genesis 2:7. Man is made of only two components-body and breath (spirit). At death, the reverse occurs. The body returns to dust, the breath (spirit) returns to God. The soul ceases to exist until the resurrection when a new body (for the saved) will be created and the breath of life restored. There is NOTHING immortal about natural man! God ONLY has immortality 1Tim 6:16. The saved receive immortailty at the resurrection. 1 Cor. 15:51-55. No mention anywhere in scripture that there is an immortal soul or spirit except the Holy Spirit.

Born Of God No Sin

The Greek word translated "commit" in the KJV, actually has a numbers of different usages. The Bible no where seems to say that in this life man is removed from the possibility of sin. Jesus said," He that endureth unto the end shall be saved." (Matt. 24:13) 1 John 1:8 says that if "We say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, etc. I think what 1 John 3:9 means is that one who lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, does not practice sin as a continuing thing. He may sin, but immediately confesses and forsakes that sin and does not repeat it over and over again.

Why Mary Mother Of Jesus

Actually, the John that was Jesus' cousin was John the Baptist, who died before the crucifixion. It was John, the brother of James, who was given the care of Mary.
The reason being that Mary had no other children of her own. Those siblings called His brothers and sisters, were actually Joseph's children by a previous marriage, and not blood relation to Jesus. They, apparently felt no responsibility toward Mary, and, prior to the resurrectioon of Jesus' did not accept Him as Savior. Joseph surely would have been with Mary if he was living, but apparently he had died earlier.

End-Time Handmaidens

End Time Handmaidens is a cult that is run by Gwen Shaw. Everything that comes out of her mouth is from satan himself. She and her followers are lost. In this cult a person has to fast for 21 days, read Gwen Shaw's book Love the Law of Angels and take vows which were written by Gwen Shaw herself. She also has a compound called Engletal in Jasper, Arkansas. If that isn't enough here is a list of some of the "leaders" that she associates herself with Benny Hinn, C. Peter Wagner, Mike Bickle, Paul Cain, Chuck Peirce, Dutch Sheets, Cindy Jacobs etc.... this should be enough to anyone with an ear to hear to understand that End Time Handmaidens and Servants is a cult.

Have You Seen An Angel

20 years ago a black man came to my door asking for recycled cans. Thought it was odd he had frames on with no glass in them. He was odd somehow. Too carefree and peaceful to be asking for cans and seemed not at all like someone in trouble. I told him to wait and I rummaged through recycling gave him all I had in a big bag. I was very poor and could have used the money for those cans but did not have heart to turn him away. I said goodbye and then reopened the door to see him again and he was absolutely gone. It has stuck in my mind ever since and I think he may have been an angel.

Spanking Young Teenage Girl

No it isn't, as long as you aren't spanking in anger. Sometimes even older children need a spanking, not very often and not every single one, but sometimes it's called for.
Despite what the so called experts say these days, spanking has been advocated by God's word and there is no age limit or anything of the sort mentioned in the Bible.
