How Do I Seek God

I understand this to mean to look for God and seach Him out. (Ps. 63) We have the Word which is our answer book. Look here, especially the New Testament, to find out who God says He is. At this time, we are under the new covenant of grace and peace, established by the blood of Jesus. God needs to be sought through the finished work of His Son.

Is My Woman Cheating On Me

If you even think this may be a problem, stop and determine what the truth is. Direct questions work pretty well. A relationship has to have trust at the core first, or the foundation will cause all that is built on it to fall. Why do you think so many have difficulty coming to the Lord? Could it just be a fear to trust in Him?

Unworthy Activity To God

I think it's easy to get legalistic about these things. Obviously, it depends what your focus is. The Bible tells us to meditate on the word of God and renew our minds to the truth. The Psalms tells us to "be still and know that I am God". I think the things that have been written on our hearts based on lies and deception need to be re-written with the truth. How else do you write something on your heart than by meditating or praying the truth until it becomes more real than the lies?

Why Did God Tempt Us

Brother Eloy, please read 1Jn 2:2,4:10, and I agree, the Father does have ultimate control at the last trumpet. Right now, He has given us time to establish His family, freely choosing to be sons or not. This is in our control, even though it's a free gift available to all, not all will choose to receive it. The dumb things we do that do not follow God's principles will cause a death in that area of our lives, but God is not the One doing the killing. He loves us; His wrath is appeased!

Should Christians Watch R Movies

Not that this movie is perfect, but isn't The Passion of the Christ a "R" movie because of the violence? Jesus' crucifixtion was probably thousands of times more violent and horrible than what was depicted, however many people came to the Lord because of it.

Does God Tell Us To Be Perfect

If I might interject, what determines perfection? We know it is not by the external system of the law. Jesus nailed the law to the tree, right? It can only come by the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ. I believe we are perfect in Him; it's the supernatural transformation of the old man at salvation. As we believe in our hearts, we cannot help but be who we are. A doer of the word is still in works unless he first believes in his heart who God says he is. Then "doing" is just the fruit.

Stop Confessing A Christian

It is a very good thing to confess or profess what we have in Christ or as Christians. This is part of the renewal of the mind and how we aline our thoughts up with what the Word says we have in Christ. Thoughts of our old natural mind have us confess who we used to be and deny our new creation in Him. Is that what you mean?

Are Sinners Going To Hell

I have a question, Jerry. In plain English, what is it you are trying to say about the topic? I can't tell if you are saying that you are sinless, whether you understand that Jesus nailed the law to the cross, or if Gal 2:21 is for today. I don't mean to be contentious, but have you heard about the new covenant or Rm 5:1? Does Jesus have anything to do with this situation? Just some things to think about.

Are Sinners Going To Hell

Good news: Your sins are not what send you to hell! God never intended for any of His children to go there. If you are reborn from incorruptable seed, (believe in Jesus) just as Jesus was the firstborn among many, you change from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. Did the lamb of God take away the sins of the world or not? Unbelief is the only sin that leaves you born of the seed of Adam and only those who believe upon Jesus are born again from the seed of God.

Why Did God Tempt Us

Eloy, you are so right on, but I believe God is really not in complete control. He gave us freedom, right? Doesn't that also mean freedom to reject Him, sin, follow Him, stand on our heads, whatever? I know that puts the responibility right back on us, but then, we are the ones that are free to make our choices , good or bad. We always want to blame the devil, or our messed up childhood, or our mother in law, but it is really our own heart issues that drive us. We can't blame God either.

What Did I Do Wrong

Dear Irene,
People don't do what they do because of you, they do what they do because themselves. I'm not talking about mere reactions, but rather a person's behavior style. Prov. 23:7 As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. You see his actions as rejection because of what is in your heart. Go to God and ask Him; He will show you and you can replace any lie that He show you with His truth. Believe me, this works. Bless you.
