Are You Truly Saved
john9346* In the verses pertaining parables you raised you must show that they are prescriptive in order to refute The Sinner's Ability to choose or reject The Almighty God??

Jesus did! "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you, because they believed in John and repented while the Pharisees did not! The same which all of the Parables!

No John you MUST prove that they did not have the ability to choose.

john9346*On a Previous Posting you agreed that the Prodigal son is descriptive are now contradicting yourself??

My bad, sometimes you have to remember who are you dealing with, still waiting for your fallible man-made interpretation of the podigal Son:)

Are You Truly Saved
The tax collectors and prostitutes on the parable of the two son in Matt 21:31"Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you, because they believed in John and repented while the Pharisees did not!

A parable has a meaning as Jesus explained to his Apostles about the story of the the sower in Mk 4:10-12 and the Pharisees know he was talking about them in the parable of the wicked tenants.Remember you believe in sola scriptura but when it hits where it counts, you need to come up with a word like it is a //"Prescriptive." but "Descriptive."/// So tell me in your own words about the Prodigal son.

Are You Truly Saved

--john9346 *Sinners are Spirtually Dead

The podigal son parable is a great example of someone spiritually dead "But when he came to himself he said..(Here he realized he had hit rock bottom)...Then he repented and said "Father(GOD)I have sinned against Heaven and before you, I am no longer worthy to be called your son.The Father(GOD) said lets celebrate and said " For this son of mine was DEAD, and is alive again, he was LOST and is found." LK 15: 11-32

--john9346 * a police officer has a duty to stop a robbery but if he doesn't have a gun he doesn't have the ability to stop the robbery...

But does have the ability to call for back-up, He can like the sinner choose to stand still or make a move!

Apostles Write About Jesus
Be informed that the Church Fathers themselves believed, taught, and defended "Sola Scriptura."

If the church fathers were reading your responses right now they would label you a heretic...
---john9346 on 1/27/19

No they did not and if they read your response they would tell you that is not true!

Are You Truly Saved
david said, "God saves those he favors, those who find themselves in Gods Grace.
How do we get into the Grace of God. It all starts with believing and acting on what Jesus taught in his Gospel. (John 14:21-23)."

///So you HAVE to believe and to act on his teaching to be in God's grace, he does not do it for you, you must react!///

Explain Luke 1:26-28
As I explained to Ruben earlier in this blog, that verse along with the one he mentioned, is explained here "For he [Jesus] must reign, till (heos) he hath put all enemies under his feet...And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all, in all." 1Co 15:25,28

But where in Matthew 1:18-25 does it say Mary had other children?

If Mary had other children Lk 2:41-45 when they realized he was missing, they ask every one about him except his so-call brothers and sisters?

Explain Luke 1:26-28

I's not what some believe - but what comes from GOD'S WORD AS TRUTH,

Read Mark 3:31 thru 35: "There came then, this brethren and his mother, and standing without, sent unto HIM, calling HIM".

---Melody on 1/15/19

Romans 1:13 13 I want you to know, brethren, that I have often intended to come to you ..

The term brethren is used here. So it has a larger meaning than just blood brothers.

Remember, (I's not what some believe - but what comes from GOD'S WORD AS TRUTH,)

("But other of the apostles, saw I none, save James THE LORD'S brother". Galatians 1:19
---Melody on 1/16/19

Which Apostles of the two listed is this James?

Explain Acts 8:37
john9346 * But who were the Oracles of God entrusted to??

To the same people that rejected he Messiah!

john9346 *.

Also, he goes on to say in vs 3 that it shouldn't be believed because its not in The Holy Scriptures that if believed Maccabees was Scripture he wouldn't have made this statement because it would contradict...

John read it slowly, he said "even if it were" not that they were not!

"The whole canon of the Scriptures, however, is contained in these books: the five of Moses . . . and one book of Joshua...such as Job and Tobit and Esther and Judith and the two books of Maccabees(Christian Instruction 2:8:13 [A.D. 397]).

Explain Acts 8:37
"The Jews do not have this Scripture which is called Maccabees, as they do the law and the prophets, to which the Lord bears testimony as to his witnesses."

---john9346 on 1/6/19

The Jews also rejected the Messiah,

Augustine - "We read in the books of the Maccabees [2 Macc. 12:43] that sacrifice was offered for the dead. But even if it were found nowhere in the Old Testament writings, the authority of the Catholic Church which is clear on this point is of no small weight, where in the prayers of the priest poured forth to the Lord God at his altar the commendation of the dead has its place" (The Care to be Had for the Dead 1:3 [A.D. 421]).

Explain Acts 8:37
Jerome, Origen, and Augustine all attested that the Jews rejected the apocrypha as not being "Divinely Authoritative.

---john9346 on 1/1/19

On the Church Fathers about the apocrypha.

Origen said "As it is written" on the book of Tobit(12:7)-Origen, Against Celsus, 5:19(A.D. 248),in ANF,IV:551.

Jerome wrote-Does not the SCRIPTURE say: 'Burden not thyself above thy power' [SIRACH 13:2] Jerome, To Eustochium, Epistle 108 (A.D. 404), in NPNF2, VI:207

Even the bible you hold quotes the books you do not have:

James 1:19 Know this, my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger, life.

Sirach 5:11: Be quick to hear, and be deliberate in answering.

Explain Luke 1:26-28
StrongAxe 8 because it is necessary to do so to justify keeping Mary perpetually a virgin,

The Angel told her she will conceived in the future, Mary words tells us her intentions was to remain a virgin.

StrongAxe8 * but you must also remember that the PRIMARY meaning of brother is still "another child of the same parents",

When Joseph and Mary lost Jesus, nowhere does scripture say they ask his so-called brothers and sisters!Lk 3

StrongAxe* That is just Catholic tradition

John Calvin and others non-catholic believe she had no other Children.

Explain Luke 1:26-28
josef* What does that have to do with Mary remaining a virgin?

Once she understood .'

josef* Mat 1:25 reads as it reads.

So does 2 Sam 6:23-Matt 22:44 and 1 Tim 4: 13

josef* (Jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman.)

And Mary being a woman and Jewish, would know how right?

When the Angel told her IN THE FUTURE you will conceived a child, Mary would had said ,Great, Wonderful and Awesome, ask your wife how would she response given a future event?

josef* It is written, Jesus had brothers. Mat 12:46.

I will say this,

The word 'brothers' is use in a larger sense, one example is Gen 14:14 . Lot is called the brother of Abraham but is his nephew.

Explain Luke 1:26-28
josef* Ruben, your last post made absolutely no sense to me. Will you clarify? I will ask you again, how are you defining the word 'till' as used in Mat 1:18

The scripture tells only up to 25 she had borne a son, Nothing after!

josef * "So Michal, the daughter of Saul, remained childless throughout her entire life." That's the way I read it.

Concerning the word 'to'

"teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, TO the close of the age." MT 28:20

After the age to come , he will no longer be with us, according to your logic.

Explain Luke 1:26-28
"...he can no longer sit in his right hand." What would bring you to this conclusion Reuben? How would you define till? The same principle is referenced and explained here, "For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet..." 1Co 15:25,28
---josef on 12/21/18

It is the same principle you are using on Lk 1:35.

2 Samuel 6:23 " And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child until the day of her death."

How are you defining "untill?

Did she all of the sudden had children after her death, according to you it is Yes?

Explain Luke 1:26-28
josef * "She remain a virgin!" Reuben I agree, she "Mary was 'espoused' (Strong's G3423 betroth[ed] or engaged) to Joseph,

Which is my point, if she was betroth to Joseph, she would had known how she was to conceive. The angel told her she will conceive in the future!

josef * Mat 1:18 And according to scripture. "Joseph...took unto him his wife, and knew her not till (or until)

About until or til

Matthew 22:44 'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, till I put thy enemies under thy feet."

The same author uses the same word. Which must mean according to you, once the Lord puts is enemies under his foot, he can no longer sit in his right hand.

Explain Luke 1:26-28
Reuben I have no idea what Mary's sexual desires were. Do you?
---josef on 12/15/18

Her desire was to remain a virgin, when she heard how it was to be then she said " let it be according to thy word. She remain a virgin!

Explain Luke 1:26-28
"she would know how, right?" Reuben Obviously, and that was the reason for the inquiry.
---josef on 12/13/18

Are you saying she had no desire to have relations with Joseph?

Explain Luke 1:26-28
Simple, she was asking how conceiving a child was possible without sex?
---josef on 12/12/18

The Angel told her in time to come (future) You will , she would know how, right?

Release The Last Penny
Jesus Every time He spoke of His coming kingdom, He spoke of His millennia reign. So did John who wrote the overcomer, [implied v4], "shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years." John also documents that the reign is on earth.
---josef on 9/24/18

Joef, Jesus NEVER mentions that his kingdom will be ONLY for a thousand years pls get me the verses. Again as I already mention that is the only time you hear about a thousand years . NO where else is it ever mention in the OT or in the NT.

2 Peter , "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Psalm 90:4 "A thousand years in your sight are like a day that has just gone"

Release The Last Penny
"why would you need to forgive your sin if you are living with Christ on earth and the devil/satan is bound for a thousand years," Because this will be a time of teaching, and man by nature will err in their thinking,
---josef on 9/9/18

What we we doing now, aren't we being taught by the holy Spirit now? When you err, do you mean sinning? We are going to live with Jesus for a literally thousand years and still be sinning?

Wouldn't you think Jesus would have mention something about living with him for a thousand years in any of the gospels or even Paul or the writers of the NT?

Finally should Rev 20:1-3 mention although with Christ for a literal thousand years we will be taught and still be err(sinning)
