Is Medical Marijuana Biblical
Hi Letty.

I don't see anything wrong with it. For a time I was caught up in the legality of it, however, my observations of very many who use it (I do not) has been that in some instances it definitely helps. As for it's negative effects, over-use/indulgence has also been observed, which can be problematic with any drug. If it helps, really,(and that's an individual thing), then OK. I believe alcohol is much more destructive, yet it is legal. I've seen too many lives destroyed, very negatively impacted, peoples health ruined, and too many deaths. It's use isn't the problem so much as uncontrolled use or overuse.

Even if you get a card, which obviously is legal, you can limit its use to what truly helps.

Loved Ones Are In Hell

"What exactly DOES "worm" mean in this verse?"

I don't know what 'experts' say, but I had thought it to refer to something like a maggot which feeds off of what is decaying. So that while one exists, there is a food source. The 'worm', whether thoughts or something else would continue to 'plague' that one for their entire existence.

A side note: Historically and even to this day, maggots have been used to eat away infection, in some instances ridding one of that infection.

Loved Ones Are In Hell
"Isaiah 66:24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched, and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh."

Note that it is their worm that shall not die, and their fire that shall not be quenched, so what happens when they (persons)are destroyed in the lake of fire?

Baptism Spiritual Effects

"God's laws never change"

So your interpretation of heb 7:12 "For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law."

Trump Protect Religious Freedom

Jesus did tell of persecution.

However, Jn 15, 16, 17 all, God chooses, out of the world, [still in it not of it]. Promises Comforter, peace, eternal life, joy, being one, kept, kept from the evil, love in them from Father....

protections promised not physical, carnal.
Perhaps not protection in the sense many may consider, and not a pre-trib rapture, but promises nonetheless.

Trump Protect Religious Freedom
I think I'll trust the Lord to protect His church, as He promised.

Jesus With Taxes
"my kingdom is not of this world" is an important distinction.

As for Lk 23,

" the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar" is an accusation, brought by Jesus' accusers. Do we agree with his accusers? I'm not aware of scriptural witness that confirms this accusation.
The remainder of their accusations,
"saying that he himself is Christ a King." ,
brings up the subject of Christ as king, and therefore an understanding of what Jesus meant and means by 'kingdom'.

What Is Love

" "Love your neighbor as yourself"? - because in that we'll be bringing unto them the same blessings that HE has imparted "

Good point

The 'as' in the phrase you quoted brings to mind an equality, at least in how we consider and treat others...

"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of (yourself) more highly than you ought, but think of yourself with sober judgment, according to the measure of faith God has given you." rm 12:3

He Is A Devout Catholic
Monk Brendan,

I don't know why many believe Catholics are unbelievers. Sincere Catholics profess belief in Jesus Christ. I've known Catholics that differ one from another in their beliefs as is true concerning many denominations. It's not my place to judge the heart of another,it is God that knows the heart.

"DON'T make the mistake that I am less Christian than you!!!"

Yes,"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." KJV Philippians 2:3-4. Worth reading the next verses too, having the same mind(set) as Christ

What Is Purgatory

"Not ONLY did God block the Original Sin HE infused so MUCH GRACE that Mary NEVER SINNED."

Then how do you explain "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" rm 3:23

"Surely there is no righteous man on earth who does good and never sins." Ec 7:20

"And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God." Mk 10:18

What Is Love
StrongAxe, thanks for your suggestion, I didn't realize I could use another keyboard.

When it is said that God IS love, I think of who God is, what He says, He sent the Son, Jesus, the exact representation of His being, loving, giving himself even unto death...of 1 Cor 13, of Paul writing of a more excellent way and full...of
Ephesians 3:16-19
How God is higher, in ways, thought, being and there is so much more than we may have yet grasped when it comes to comprehending and knowing Him

If one is given the mind of Christ it would necessarily be a mind of love.

What Is Love
Thank you StrongAxe for your suggestion. The only problem with that idea is that I have a laptop with a built in keyboard.

I have been thinking about your comment on 1/23 and would like to respond, but first I would like to say that I agree with comments stating love is an action...and I would also like to say that I have appreciated many of your posts, in particular pointing out the importance of what scripture actually states. It's easy to make assumptions, sometimes based on what we have been taught previously, which may or may not be correct. Being open to correction is critical, IMO.

josef on 1/20/19

You are welcome josef.

Yes, I have been reading as able even though I have posted little of late. The blog I last posted to disappeared, and for some time my keyboard only allows me to type some letters. I've had to copy paste each letter to post...time consuming. But found a virtual keyboard and just bought a mouse and can write something in a reasonable time. Hoping to post more soon.

What Is Love
God is love. 1Jn 4:8

Nice answer josef
