What Is Your Truth
Grace is THE CROSS.---kathr4453

The Best way to understand a word is to see how it is used throughout the Bible. Lets see which of our definitions of Grace best fits the use in the verse below.
(Genesis 6:8).
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord.

Did Noah find, The Cross, in the eyes of the Lord, or did Noah find, Favor, in the eyes of the Lord?
The sacrifice of Jesus Christ afforded us with, a way, to have a relationship with God, by removing the sin which separated us. (Isiah 59:2)

Through this relationship, those who find themselves in the favor of God, like Noah, they will be saved. Peter uses the same example of Grace in (2 Peter 2:4-5).

James Robison Ski House
These folks make me angry too, but to squelch that anger, I am reminded they will kneel before the Lord someday. Many who believe they are saved, will come the Truth About their salvation, on that day. So I also have pity for them.

What Is Your Truth
To say only LOVE is commanded in the NC and is easier to keep makes no sense.---kathr4453

(John 1:16) And of His fullness have we all received, and grace for grace.

The Lords commandments are to act out of Grace, the same Grace God has shown us. Forgiveness of trespasses against us, Feeding the hungry, Providing shelter to the homeless, Giving clothing to someone who needs clothes...etc.

God hates when we are tempted to sin, and we dont, this is a display of Grace towards God. And through our Grace we shall receive Gods Grace. Perfect Example of Grace for Grace,...When we forgive others...God forgives us. When we Love others...God loves us (John 14:21).

What Is Your Truth
There are many people who teach Paul, but they teach without a foundation in the Gospel. Without a foundation, you can mold it to say whatever you want.

In (John 1:16), we find the foundation for Pauls teaching, We are not under the Law, we are under Grace.
(John 1:16)
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Paul is referring to the Law of Moses, as THE Law. Or In other words, Paul is saying, God got rid of the Old Covenant for a New Covenant. The TERMS of being in a covenant with God, is what CHANGED. From The Law of man could The Law of Christ...a law based on Love, a law when done out of Love, anyone can keep.

What Is Your Truth
What do YOU think Paul's words "We are not under the law" mean, and do you disagree with them, and if so, why?---StrongAxe

No I do not disagree with Paul, I disagree with the way Paul is taught.
Because if Paul taught what they say he is teaching, his teachings are from the Anti-Christ. A teaching from the Anti-Christ is opposed to, or the opposite of everything Christ taught.

Why didn't other Bible authors quote Paul? Because Paul wrote his words decades after Jesus was alive, and fewer people had heard Paul's.-StrongAxe

Many believe Paul gave us a different doctrine than the one Christ left us with. I thought you were one of those believers.

What Is Your Truth
Mike quoted Paul's SPECIFIC words "we are not under the law but under grace". What do YOU think they mean?---StrongAxe on 5/18/20

Grace is the favor of God, favor bestowed on those he loves. Jesus taught how we garner his love in (John 14:21). Paul taught about, that Grace, you do not.

If Pauls epistles are more important than the Lords Gospel, why didnt anyone else quote Paul in the Bible?

What Is Your Truth
Jesus never broke the Sabbath...Kathr

As seen in the comparative below, you can see the Lord and his disciples did break Sabbath Law, it was prescribed by God. We all know Jesus never sinned, but he broke Sabbath Law. This brings us to conclude...what?

(Matthew 12:1) Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn, and His disciples were hungry and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.

(Numbers 15:32-36) And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man who gathered sticks upon the Sabbath day..........And the Lord said unto Moses, The man shall be surely put to death. All the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.

What Is Your Truth
Mike, you are correct, Jesus never broke the Law (sabbath).---ven. on 5/16/20

The Sabbath was a law under the Old Covenant. And Jesus definitely broke that Law,.... but Jesus came with a New Covenant, which voided many of the Laws of Moses. The mere fact Jesus and his followers did what was not allowed under Sabbath Law, underscores this point.

There are many folks listed in the bible who will not go to heaven, The Liars...the Adulterous, the Thieves, and the murders. But in the New Testament there is not one Sabbath breaker mentioned, and yet some folks like to make the claim people who dont observe the Sabbath Law...on what ever day that may be,...will go to hell.

What Is Your Truth
Therefore, to be "under the law" means to be "under the condemnation of the law. The apostle Paul says that we are "not under law but under grace"---mike

So you believe have been given immunity, a license to sin.
For example, If you own a gun, without a license, you are under the condemnation of the Law, But if you have a license, there is no condemnation. Mike, Grace...does not give a believer a license to sin.

(Jude1:4) For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

What Is Your Truth
David: "I Dont agree with Saturday sabbath"
Then you don't agree with the Bible, or Jesus and the Apostles. Sunday sacredness came well after the apostolic period.---jerry6593 on 4/21/20

Sin is the transgression of the Law (1 John 3:4)
Jesus was perfect, without sin, and yet He broke the Law of the Sabbath in (Matthew 12). How could Jesus, our Lord, our example, perfect, without sin, if we under the Law of the Sabbath?

Maybe you just don't understand what it means, just like you didn't understand what the Deity of Christ means.---kathr4453

The Deity of Christ, according to your doctrine, is what I am trying to grasp. According to you, Gods salvation message is a Mystery to everyone who doesnt believe as you do. Christ is called the Author of Salvation, and yet, your message is not located anywhere in his Gospel.

I understand the Bible, but a mystery like yours, is hard to understand. Paul wouldnt even understand it, though you believe it came from Paul.

Okay, Thank you, thats one of the verses I wanted to see.
It does say Father, But Jesus definitely acknowledges someone greater than himself in heaven, while he was here on Earth. Why?

They must have asked themselves this question, and I was wondering who they believe he was talking to.

Examine Religious Experience
Can someone tell us, how Jesus can be God the Father and also sit at the right hand of God? Tell us who Jesus prayed to, who he called Father in his prayers?

If we can see scripture that gives us the answers to these questions, perhaps we can be convinced to see it your way.

Psalm 110:1, Matthew 22:44, and Mark 12:36:
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.---StrongAxe

Perfect verse StrongAxe.
God says,...Until I make thine enemies thy footstool, Jesus will sit at right hand of God.
Has God done this yet?

If Jesus and God are one figuratively, why would Jesus sit at the right hand of God?? When we pray, Do we pray to God...or to Jesus?
We pray to God, in the name of his Son, Jesus.

This is a good discussion to have with you, for we are not emotionally attached to it. This whole Trinity matter is confusing to me and Im not really sure which side of the fence people see me on.

I believe Jesus to be the Son of God, the heir to the throne of God the Father. He is God, because he has all the Power and Authority of God, but he is the Son of God, he is not God the Father.

Is this the JW view?

Examine Religious Experience
There are also others who believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but is not God himself.---StrongAxe

Thank you for your explanation and your maturity. I have read and been involved in some of these discussions, but have never understood peoples fever over the subject.

Jesus is God...Jesus is Michael...Jesus is the Son of God, but he is not God the Father. I can not see, In any of theses choices, where someone would deny the Deity of Christ, or that he is the Son of God. Nor do I see any of these beliefs as a game changer when it comes to salvation.
Do you?

Examine Religious Experience
Though I am not as involved in CN as some are, I have never read where anyone has denied Christ as the Son of God. Could you explain what they, or I have said, which causes you to make these accusations?

Every scripture you have posted doesnt prove anything, if we dont know what someone said which makes you think they deny Christ.

Examine Religious Experience
Yes he has for years tried to get me to deny Christ. It will NEVER HAPPEN. ---kathr4453

Is it remotely possible to have a substantive discussion with you, without you thwarting the discussion by telling a lie?

As far as the deity of Christ, If you are referring to the Trinity, you can believe whatever you want. Personally, I dont remember what you believe. I know the other David on CN likes to argue on the matter, but I dont. And I dont believe his argument is designed, to get anyone to deny Christ.
