Scripture For Innocent Babies

No infant is innocent according to the bible. If babies are innocent than why is it that when Joshua laid siege to Jericho, everything that had breath was put to the sword? Including babies and children. If they were innocent than God should have spared them right? And this didn't just happen in Jericho, Moses and Joshua butchered more children and infants along the way to Canon. Here's a question for you, If your pastor came to church and told you that you were supposed to go into your town and Kill everyone including women, children, and babies because God told him to, what would you say? You would call him crazy! If God is unchanging, the same yesterday as today, why the discrepancy between the old testament God and the new testament one? |

I remember, years ago when I was very young, having a record called "Deck of Cards". It's about a young man who brings out a deck of cards during church. People react negatively to him doing that, until he explains that he doesn't have a Bible, and the cards remind him of spiritual things. Can't remember what they are. I'd like to hear it again sometime. |

All through the Bible, we're told that a criminal must pay for his/her crimes. There are no loopholes in scripture to get out of prison...it is not a "Get out of jail free" card. Even if a prisoner is converted during his sentence, his life may have changed, but he still has to pay for his crime. |

This gentleman asks a question that I think is weighing heavily on his heart & in his mind, and he deserves kind, non-judgemental answers. You know, sometimes it's very confusing. On the one hand, we're told to join together as a band of believers- the true Church- in worshipping the Living God. Yet, when we do, you say it's wrong, and preparing for the Tribulation one-religion world. No wonder people are starting their own churches with attitudes like that.

That's the only part of the riddle I can't understand. Where the whale is compared to Pharaoh. It was created before man, swims the oceans of the world, it had a soul but lost it (not its own...when Jonah was inside it), the Lord prepared the great fish to swallow Jonah, and even though it can't pray or talk to God, God heard Jonah's prayer from inside it. But the Pharaoh part has me stumped. |
