Salvation For Sabbath Keeping
If we look at the history as recorded in scripture, it would seem that we can properly conclude that the day God rested in Genesis was the same day of the week He refrained from giving manna and told Israel to keep holy--because in six days He created and rested the 7th. Likewise when He was here on earth, He was laid in the tomb and the following day, the disciples "rested according to the commandment". These would seem to be pretty clear evidence that the 7th day was the same at creation and down at least through the resurrection. We may celebrate His resurrection, but that does not mean that we should cast doubt on the weekly cycle in the bible from Genesis to the present.

Failed To Be A Companion
Gray, she has made a decision, based on something or nothing, it doesn't matter. You are now privileged to show and to reveal true love for her under circumstances that reveal whether your love is the genuine article. This is best shown as several bloggers have already said--seeking to find out how you might have failed--and how you might improve, and to reveal by your love, your care, your faithfulness, that she is throwing away a true jewel. In other words, Be like Jesus. If you go about to "prove" her wrong, you will only reveal that you haven't a clue on how truly to lead, to love, to be a true house-band. Don't try to push darkness around, just turn on the light!

Man Made Church Traditions
Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day, and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable, and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking thine own words:

Isa 66:23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

Hide Abortion From Husband
Mat 12:31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
Mat 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.

All Marriages Are Not Covenants
Obviously this is a lot about excuses. Did he not consult God before he gave his word? And if he did not ask God, how does that make him free from his own promise? Even Joshua and Israel kept their word when they had failed to ask God first. Read Joshua 9 for the story. I believe a man's word is binding, even if it hurts. The only release would be if he had promised to sin, and then he would have to repent of his rashness. God has wisdom, why don't we seek Him before making a commitment?

Can God Forgive Repeated Sins
Let God answer your question. Read Romans 7, notice the problem and the solution. Now look at John 3:1-21, then Romans 8. There is only one way of victory and that is the way of faith. Faith comes by hearing the word of God (Rom 10:17), not by listening to the words of the serpent. Faith is His gift to us (Eph 2:8). It is our privilege to exercise faith and submit to His work--for He alone can do the work. Just as certainly as He healed the sick, He can cleanse from sin (Matt 9:6). He is able to keep us from falling and to complete the work He has begun (Jude 1:24).

Did Abraham Tithe Once
Certainly laws, commandments, etc. were in existence before Sinai. God had commanded sacrifices in Adam's time since God reminded Cain, that if he did right, he would be accepted (Gen 4:7), Noah also offered sacrifice after leaving the ark (Gen 8:20) and special mention is made that he offered of the clean animals, showing that the distinction was already known--God also brought into the ark a different number clean compared to unclean (Gen 2:7 & 8). Abraham kept God's commandments, statues, and laws-Gen 26:5. Abraham and his seed built altars and sacrificed while sojourning in Canaan. While on the way to Sinai God proved Israel by providing manna for six days, and reproved them for refusing His commandments and laws(Gen 16:4-30).

David's Bathsheba Temptation
Certainly we have our Adamic nature, as did Christ--the seed of David according to the flesh (Rom 1:3). No question about Christians being able to sin, but Paul is talking about those who are slaves to sin, forced to sin, even against their will. Christ said He came to make us free. Awake to righteousness and sin not. Sin shall not have dominion over you. Paul longed to be delivered from the slavery of sin, and he found deliverance in Christ. He says that he was made free from the law of sin and death (Romans 8:2). While the scripture presents the fact that the born again Christian can choose to sin, it does not present him as forced to sin. Jude 1:24 says He is able to keep us from falling. A wonderful Savior is Jesus our Lord.

Confess Affair To My Husband
Kaye, though we regret bad decisions the rest of our lives, there is no need to feel guilty. When we have confessed to those we have wronged, then the guilt can be gone and we move forward, recognizing that defeat has been turned into victory by the blood and grace of Jesus. Peter would always regret he had denied Christ, but as he realized that it was that denial that enabled him to see himself as he truly was--helpless, and to receive the grace and forgiveness of Jesus, he would recognize that it was that which truly saved him from eternal loss. And then he could rejoice in and praise God for such love that could save even the chief of sinners. Likewise you and your husband may realize that this may have saved you from disaster also.

David's Bathsheba Temptation
Alex, your posts seem confusing. Are you saying in post of 3/25 that Paul teaches that the born-again Christian is forced to sin? While man cannot control carnal emotions, can not God? Is the Christian life so miserable that we long to escape from this body of death? Or is it possible that Paul is telling us that when we are slaves to sin, righteousness is impossible and that Christ is able to set us free, give us deliverance from this slavery? He asks, Who shall deliver me, and then says, I thank God, through Jesus Christ, I can be delivered and if delivered, then free. Sin shall NOT have dominion over you. He that abideth in Him sinneth not. Awake to righteousness and sin NOT.

Online Emotional Affair
Dear Tracy, please make telling your husband a matter of prayer. Would it be better for you to confess to him (since you definitely sinned against him too) or better to keep him in the dark with the very real possibility that he will find out anyway from someone else? I believe that complete truthfulness and open communication between the two of you will result in drawing the cords of your union closer and stronger, because the two of you being one can address and face this together, uniting in seeking God, giving your husband the opportunity to intercede with you for grace and strength. The two of you are then truly one. To keep him in the dark in some ways robs him of the opportunity to be the true husband God designs that he be to you.

Unmarried Girls Having Kids
Certainly it is not necessary for you to marry someone to help, to be a friend. Marriage is not simply about helping a person, it is a life-long commitment of love, not simply by one of the parties, but by both--that the two may be one flesh, establishing a home from which God's love may shine, and others see a revelation of God's purpose that mankind become one with Him. Certainly the Lord will give you wisdom, but you need not even think that the only way you can help a child is to marry their mother! You can do many things to help lighten the load, to share with a child, to be a role model, and help the child in development of right principles--to appreciate the good and shun the evil.

Is Pologamy A Sin
David, I am sure they will not let me post an email here. You can reach me through my CN pen name and ask the question that way. I will know yours then also. Not sure what could be so "bad" that they aren't posting it, so if it is off the wall and not an honest question, then I may not respond. I am sometimes surprised by your statements that seem so wide of the mark.
