Should I Stay With My Husband

Bessie, The scripture's pretty clear about how God feels about divorce - He hates it. If your husband isn't a believer scripture says you are to remain with him unless he wishes to leave the marriage. I too am curious as to why he doesn't trust you. Perhaps that's the key. I'd recommend "Feminine Appeal" by Carolyn Mahaney. She's a pastor's wife and has great insite into Biblical womanhood. Sometimes the needed change is in us... Pray, seek Godly counsel. Just my thoughts.

Husband Doesn't Want Me To Work

part 2... My hope, Pam, is that you'll turn to the Word and prayer and seek the counsel of other pastor's wives. Do the pure thing, not the culturally accepted thing. Our greatest security is in the Lord, after all, He is really our provider, not any man.

Husband Doesn't Want Me To Work

Alan, yes, pride is stupid, but is her husband the only one showing it? The 1st issue I see is that she's "worried" about the future. The 2nd is that she's "argued" with her husband about it (her words, not mine). Scripture is pretty clear about "unbelief" and that wives should "submit" to their husbands.... see next note...

Can I Marry A Non-Believer

Being Christians, Jesus has already taken our "judgement" on the cross. However, their can/will be consequences. Scripture is clear, we should not yoke ourselves with unbelievers - applies to marriage, as well as other areas in life. God tells us this not to keep us from something good, but to protect us. As far as dating someone in order to bring them to the Lord - not wise - I haven't met a believer who's done so without negative consequences for themselves and the unbeliever involved.

When Should A Women Be Submissive

Cassandra, I think there are ways to demonstrate submissiveness before a gentleman who is courting you. Submission to specifically him is not an issue until you are married. But, it is important that he sees how you respond to your pastor, father, employer, etc... That is how he will know your heart in the matter. But, again, until you are married, he is not an authority in your life (unless he's your pastor... hmmm... are there single pastors out there??). Just some thoughts.

Why Are Pastors Having Affairs

Kristen, I'm so sorry you had to go through that. I have been right where you are, unfortunately 3 times, in 3 dif. ministries. What I've learned over the years is that man fails, but God does not. Look to Him, He will get you through. Don't let bitterness and resentment take hold in your heart.
