Paul is speaking in 1Cor 6:19 and in context he is refering specifically to sexual immorality. We as Christians are the bride of Christ and "joined to the Lord" and sexual immorality is a sin the directly relates to our bodies being temples. This is not necessarily a carte blanche ruling on all sin. What one needs to be more concerned with is the fruit that pot smoking bears. Also is there another who might stumble as a result of our actions.
