Was Jesus The Second Adam

Adam was created in the "likeness" of (Yahweh)God, (Yahshua)Jesus was God incarnate. Yahshua, which means "Yah or God saves" came to earth and died not to save the "world" from its sins but so he could remarry HIS people Israel so that the remnant of Israel which exists in the world today in 2010 can do what Adam was sent here to do but failed.

Mormon God From Kolob

I haven't seen anybody post from the 1878 edition of the Pearl of Great Price, Book of Abraham, available on Google Books for free.

This version has many differences:

And I Abraham saw the stars, that they were very great, and that one of them was nearest unto the throne of God and the name of the great one is Kolob, because it is near unto me, for I am the Lord thy God: I have set this one to govern all those which belong to the same order of that upon which thou standest. And the Lord said unto me, by the Urim and Thummim, that Kolob was after the manner of the Lord. The Book of Abraham, Translated from Papyrus by Joseph Smith, 1878 edition.

Last King Of Israel

God never wanted his people to have a King in the first place. 1st Samuel 8 describes how the people of Israel begged for a King so they could be ruled like the nations around them. God warned his people against this, but they refused to listen to His prophet Samuel. God gave his people what they thought they wanted. The monarchy lasted a mere 100 years, until the Hebrews were taken into exile, which is proof of the monarchy's failure. The monarchy was an anomaluos chapter in Israel's history, and not to be understood as their typical form of government.

What Are Biblical Works

Nowhere in the scripture are works given as a MEANS of justification. As it states in Jas. 3:18, true saving faith is demonstrated by works. Works are a by product of justification not the substance of it.

Can I Have Many Wifes

There are a few scriptures that make me think about this situation. The first is 1 Kings 15:5 "...David did what was right in the sight of the Lord, and had not turned aside from anything that he commanded him in all the days of his life, except in the case of Uriah the Hittite." Since David had multiple wives and concubines and "did what was right in the sight of the Lord (except Uriah) I can only conclude that having multiple wives was not "wrong" in the sight of the Lord.

Ashes On The Forehead

Ashes on the forehead is a Pagan practice. Jesus warned against marking your face when you fast, and Lent is a time of fasting.
