What Does 666 Mean
The number of the beast is the number of a man. 2 Peter 2:12 and Jude 1:10 define a man who is like unto a brute beast. This is a man who turns the grace of God into lasciviousness and denies the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, a man without God. A man without God has no other source but his natural affections. To be carnally minded (of or pertaining to the five natural senses) IS death. Death is the opposing force of life, who is Christ. Man can be pro-God but anti-Christ through unbelief.

What Does 666 Mean
That is why we must "know this, that the old man is dead", reckon ourselves dead unto sin (by faith in His death) and alive unto God (by faith in His life), and then yield our members as instruments of righteousness. The unregenerate man cannot conceive this and the carnally minded man has yet to perceive it through the spirit. We (not I, but we) have the mind of Christ. It has been given to us through Christ. The mind of Christ is the mind of peace and humility. We have been given all things that pertain unto life and godliness. If it pertains to life, it has been given. We receive by faith.

Never Opened A Bible
Catherine, the teeth of His sheep are even shorn and without fangs. If you chew up the flesh of one of the sheep and put on his or her clothing, what does that make you? If you study the Bible as much as you say, you know the answer to this question. Don't wrap yourself in Jemmi's flesh (what she has or has not done) and stop using your liberty as a cloak of malice. Only when you put off what is hers can you clothe yourself with the clothing of the Lamb which, according to Phillipians 2, is a cloak of humility and no reputation.

Romans 15:1-6
Romans 12:16

How To Avoid Sin
Don't forget who (and whose) you are.

Know this that the old man is dead (believe something---spirit)

Reckon yourself dead unto sin and alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord (account or reckon---mind)

Yield your members as instruments of righteousness (present as a living sacrifice---body)

This is done from the inside out. Spirit first, then soul, then body. God's order.

God Does Not Forgive
Sue, you have to rightly divide the Word. In the Old Covenant, the genealogy through whom the seed would come had to be preserved. When man became so wicked that the intentions of his heart was only wickedness continually, God operated to preserve the line. Since God left man a choice of life and death, blessing and cursing, the choice of death and cursing by man left God no choice but to destroy anything that would bring destruction to those who sought to destroy the seed. That has been the adversary's intention all along, right? To destroy the seed? When the adversary seeks whom he may devour, he is not after you but after the hindering of the life of the One in you.

God Does Not Forgive
Father God always answers prayer. Because He is a Spirit, He answers us through our spirits. If you only look in the natural for the answer without inclining your spiritual ear to spiritual things, you may very well miss the answer, not because you can't hear God in your spirit but because you haven't inclined your ear to that dimension. God operates through His Word. The gospel works effectually in them that believe. Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that He is and that He is the rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Do I Need To Ask For Forgiveness
So, we are "obtaining" God's grace now? God forbid. Granted, it must be received but it has already been given because of Jesus. Romans 10:9 says that confession of Jesus as Lord and believing that God raised Him from the dead saves us. Let me ask a question. If you fall just a millimeter short of the glory today without even realizing it, how do you confess what you have not realized? Sure, you say, "By the conviction of the Holy Spirit", but don't you know that it is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance? His grace and His goodness go hand in hand.

Do I Need To Ask For Forgiveness
If you are trusting in yourself, your own strength and ability to "get it all right", you will find grace unobtainable. For those who work and strive, the reward is not reckoned of grace but of debt. God doesn't owe you anything. He gives and He gives and He gives. Your responsibility is to receive what has already been given. It is available to all. He is the Savior of all men, especially of them that believe.

Ministry Or Family First In Life
A proper relationship vertically with God will affect everyone around you, as will an improper relationship with Him. Performance oriented believers often tend toward "ministries" rather than people, including their families. There is often very little glory in ministering to your family, in your home, out of the public spotlight. If I were a leader and looking for someone to come alongside me, I would talk to his family first before I talked with those outside his home. Many times it is easier to hide behind a ministry than to face the real issues. Being away from home all the time ministering to others keeps you away from those who really know you and are intimate with the real you.

Ministry Or Family First In Life
I have seen so many situations where the home life was nothing like the public life, with the minister treating others better than his own family, extending grace in the spotlight and withholding it privately. Family will not only begin to resent you but also God when they discover that you care more for others than you do them....and all in the name of God who was the first to ordain marriage and family. Such a contradiction causes more problems than can be listed here but the results are the same...division and death to the relationships in the home...and eventually the ministry itself.

Hurt By A Church
"However, whenever we do find a new church, I will not put myself out there again to be hurt again. I learned a lot from this experience."

gynn...I don't know what happened to you but closing yourself off from others isn't the answer. I have been hurt before and many times, however, the Lord heals the broken hearted and binds up the wounds. Think about it. Jesus put Himself way out there even though others had falsely accused Him, hurt Him, forsook Him, denied Him, and betrayed Him. We enter into His sufferings by faith, abiding in the love that was first demonstrated by His giving of His life.

Condemning Christians
Don't you think it would be safe to say that if Jesus didn't condemn an adultress before He died and rose again that He isn't condemning a believer who smokes now? Just in case you think that God is pleased with your condemnation of a sister, you may want to take a second look at the work of Christ on the cross and why exactly He did that. If this us all about who is right and who is wrong, then the relationship with God Jesus brought back to us through His death and resurrection is in vain given the fact that none of us can please God with our righteousness. He is only pleased with faith in His righteousness.

Do Our Words Have Power
Bobby, this is my stance regarding the confession of the mouth:

I believe that everything was created by the Word. The worlds were framed by it. Everything God says is truth, even when our minds cannot conceive it. Many WoF adherers have insisted that we can create anything we want with our mouths. I, on the other hand, choose to believe that simple agreement with God, who is our Father, is done with the mouth and reflects the meditation of the heart. That simple agreement does not make God do anything. He has completed the work. What it does do is release from our spirit the salvation He placed there when we were born again. Everything that pertains unto life and godliness has been given you.

Do Our Words Have Power
Instead of confessing His Word to make it true or to make it come to pass, I confess the Word to establish my heart in grace and renew my mind to present truth. If you watch people who are always at variance with God with the words of their mouth, you will find them asking why God says one thing and they experience another. Not having an answer to the problem, they impugn God's very character and nature because of a lack of knowledge and they perish in one or more of the aspects of redemption. Death is more than just laying the body down. It includes all the things listed under the curse of the law in Deut. 28.

Do Our Words Have Power
I am not viewing confession as something we do from the outside to make something true. I view it as my agreement from the heart (inside) with what is already truth and, as I have believed, so be it unto me. Faith is a spiritual muscle. It is always there. Just like the biceps and triceps in our arms, they are there but usually unnoticed unless they are exercised through use. In the old covenant, defilement came from without. In the new covenant, defilement (of the soul, not the spirit) comes from within. Hope this helps.

For Many Are Called
"And when the man showed up without the proper garment it indicated he had rejected the kings own provision. And was a great insult to the king. Many reject the garment of righeousness Christ offers."

Kind of sounds like the religious folks who always gave Jesus so much trouble. You know, the ones who rejected Him because they were so wrapped up in their own self-righteousness they didn't know they needed a Savior, the ones who thought the Messiah was going to come and put His stamp of approval on them and make everyone else subject to their way of doing things.

Why Is Healing Controversial
Most who have remained controversial over healing, even after hearing the testimonies, say that God only heals certain of His children. If that is so, then those "certain" are favored. Well, God has never failed me one time and He is no respecter of persons. He doesn't have "certain" children He loves more. He has already done the work and has given to every man THE measure of faith. It is our part to believe His Word and use the faith He has given us. I can give testimony after testimony after testimony of not only physical healing but emotional as well. And yet those who remain controversial over it say I am a name it and claim it word of faith believer. And yet, He has never failed me.

Can God Heal A Diabetic
He already did.
"Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye WERE healed."
It is already true. It is a part of the salvation you received when you were born again. Only believe.
"And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by His Spirit that dwelleth in you."
"Know ye not that ye are the temple of the Holy Ghost and the Spirit of God dwells in you?"

Proverbs 12:14
Proverbs 13:2

Amos 3:3 "How can two walk together except they be agreed?"
Agreement comes by the mouth, by speaking the same thing.
Would you like some more? The Word is full of what is spoken out of the mouth reflecting what is believed in the heart.

Pastor Charging For Services
Most people, even Christians, don't mind paying a lawyer that much and more to sue a brother. The very ones who fuss about paying that much to get married by that pastor wouldn't even blink once at paying a lawyer more than that to sue that same pastor for some infringement on their rights. Who is really greedy here? Let him who is without sin first cast a stone.
