Catholics That Read Their Bible
Many Catholics read their bible daily. Many Catholics go to Daily Mass which has Bible readings in it.

Just as in any other denomination, there are fervent, practicing Catholics, nominal Catholics, and those who were Baptized Catholic and do not practice.

Actually, I think it would be more proper to say that Luther and the reformers removed a number of books from the Bible.

The KJV is not an accurate translation according to the Catholic Church.

[I'd like BCV from YOU that specifically says it IS Ok to pray for the dead. ---Crystal]

2 Maccabees 12:44-45:
"For if he were not expecting that those who had fallen would rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead. But if he was looking to the splendid reward that is laid up for those who fall asleep in godliness, it was a holy and pious thought. Therefore he made atonement for the dead that they might be delivered from their sin."

Persistent Or Vain Repetition Pray
[do you also speak to God using your own words? Mac]
Actually, the prayers are only part of the Rosary. The Rosary is a beautiful meditation on the life, death and resurrection of our Lord.
The "formal prayers" are always accompanied by whatever the person wants to think/pray to God. We ponder one of the mysteries with each set of beads. We can thank Him, praise Him, etc. with each bead or each set of beads. Each person "customizes" his or her own Rosary prayers.

I could give some scriptures for you during this difficult time for Augusta if you'd like me to. If you'd like to wait for Augusta, that's fine.

The Virgin Mary has appeared throughout history, ususally to simple people/children. Of note are Lourdes, Fatima, Guadalupe, Knock, and Medjugorje.
She identifies herself and will profess Jesus as Lord. She called herself "The Immaculate Conception" to a girl who didn't know what it meant. She has given secrets to some people, many of which have come true, which gives weight to the authenticity of the apparition.

[Precisely. They refused to accept His plain promise that He would give His Body and Blood as true food under the forms of bread and wine.
To refuse to believe this is to "not walk with Jesus," according to the Bible. -Jack]

You're welcome, Augusta. These blogs can easily go off the radar screen.
To answer the question about "Holy Queen"
"Holy Queen" refers to the Woman in Revelation, the "Woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars"

Thanks for posting the general topics of the Blessed Virgin Mary's messages, Emcee. She truly tries to bring souls to her Son.

[does the rosary consist of set prayers -Mac]
Yes, the prayers are: Apostle's Creed, Lord's Prayer, Glory Be, Hail Mary, Jesus Prayer, and Hail Holy Queen.
One meditates on events in Jesus' life during the prayers, such as: Annunciation and Jesus' birth, proclamation of the Kingdom, Transfiguration, Agony in Garden, Scourging, Carrying of Cross, Crucifixion, coming of the Holy Spirit. 20 mysteries.

Correct. I have not claimed otherwise.
[You never did answer me from a long time ago as to whether you know for sure where you are going when you die. -Helen]
I did answer you, but let me clarify:
If I continue to choose God, heaven.
If I decide to choose against Him and walk away from Him in the future, hell.

[many of them did walk from Jesus because they couldn't believe it. They thought of it the same way you do, that He meant literally they were to eat Him. How dumb. -Helen]

Dumb, Really? Then why did He let them all walk away? He never said, "Wait, I was not speaking literally." Instead, He said to his apostles, "Will you leave Me too?" He wanted them to know the Truth. He was speaking literally.

[The wafer is Jesus -- come off it -- Jesus is seated in Heaven at the right hand of the Father. What you are proposing is witchcraft and idolatry. - Helen]
Yes, Jesus is at the right hand of the Father. He is also present in the Blessed Scarament, the Holy Eucharist, the consecrated Host. Jesus Himself told us this is true in John Chapter 6. Many walked away because they could not believe it eitehr.

Are Catholics Christians
[pray to dead people (saints), believe that dead people (saints) can answer prayers, have graven images, and make believe that priests can forgive sins, etc. -Steveng]
Jesus founded His Church on Peter and said the gates of hell would not prevail against it. Clearly there is a misunderstanding of authentic Catholic teaching in what you have said in this blog.
