Who Do I Tithe To

Tithes, as in Malachi, are to go to the storehouse, the place where you are fed. That would be your church. Offerings are above the tithe, that would be your charitable giving. Abraham paid tithes to Melchizedek before the law, and Jesus is of the order of Melchizedek. When Jesus confronted the Pharisees in Matthew 23:23 he said they should tithe as well as show justice mercy and faith. The Lord loves a cheerful giver. Give liberally with an open hand and you will receive liberally. God bless!

Moderator - Abraham didn't pay tithes. He gave a tithe once.
Jesus didn't say pay tithes. Please reread both passages because you are quoting what comes from the pulpit versus from the Bible.

Who Do I Tithe To

Moderator- I read both scriptures before I wrote. We may disagree but I base my beliefs on the scripture, and test all things from the pulpit against the Word. I prefer to use the term giving instead of tithing, because a loving gift may often be well above a tenth. Abraham gave a tenth which means he tithed, and in the Matthew 23 scripture Jesus confirms that Pharisees should tithe as well as the weightier matters of the law. I agree that giving is a heart issue not a law issue.

Moderator - Abraham didn't practice tithing. He tithed once. Jesus acknowledged that the Pharisees tithed which was truth. Jesus didn't tell them to tithe. Please reread both passages. The Bible tells the NT saints to be cheerful givers - it all belongs to God not some 10% tithe from the law.

I Don't Think God Is Real

Have you ever received an act of kindness that you really didn't deserve? God is love, you can see evidence of God in His people. Look for Christians that are loving, compassionate, and forgiving. Why is it that people who say they don't believe in God blame Him for all the bad in the world? God is real, and most of the suffering is caused by the sinful choices of man. Believers have fun and more, they have peace and contentment and joy, and security. God is real. God is good. Keep looking.

Techniques For Spanking Your Kids

Having age appropriate expectations, being specific, modeling the behavior you expect, praising and encouraging good attempts can all set a child up for success. Rebellion and defiance should be corrected immediately, if spanking is used remember to make a point not a mark. Denial of priviledges works if it is consistent and immediate. It is important to reaffirm your love for your child. We want to get rid of the behavior not the child. Parenting is an awesome responsibility. Prayer helps.

Was Jesus Three Days In Hell

Revelations 1:18 Jesus says "I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and Death". Revelation 3:7 says He who has the key of David, referring to Jesus and Isaiah 22:22 that key is the access to an audience with the king/kingdom. The process of how Jesus got the key to Hades is partially conjecture, but as in most families, permission and access are governed by the Father's will.

Can Benny Hinn Heal People

and by His stripes we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5). Jesus is the healer. If Benny Hinn or any other brother or sister in Christ makes a false statement they should be corrected in a spirit of meekness, like Aquila and Priscilla in Acts 18. Agabus missed it on some details of a prophecy to Paul, but he was not labeled a false prophet. Look at the fruit, look to the Word, and look who it glorifies. To God be the glory.

Practice Baptizing The Dead

Scripturally if you want to baptise a dead person you should pray that the Lord raise him from the dead, then once alive if he accepts the Lord go on with baptism. How can you baptise by proxy if each person must choose for themselves? Once dead their choice has already been made.
