Good Over Came Evil
I dont see how it could be possible as a true Christian to not be in situations where one is to love their enemy (ies).
Christ died for us while we were still sinners. The lost that we are sent out to preach the gospel to, are still sinners, and if sinners, then enemies of God first and foremost, and the believer with the indwelling Christ also.
Christ laid down His life for us, and we lay down our lives, in obedience to Him, love for Him, for the good of the lost, in the hope that they too may be with Him, and us.

Coping Skills For A Death
shira: "It is about the peace that passeth all understanding. I lost my daughter and my husband."
It is the Comfort with which we ourselves have been comforted that enables us to offer Comfort and Hope, keeping in mind that God is our Hope, our Comfort. God bless

Explain Romans 9:6-7
Then of course theres the rebuilding/restoring of walls/broken walls as in Isaiah 58,Is 60, Amos 9, so much to seek out. Walls destroyed, walls rebuilt, must make sure which wall is which, torn down or built up.

MarkV on 6/25, Thanks for your comments. I wrote a response to you, but it's not posted. I will attempt to find notes and post soon (?)

Can Forgiving Hurt
In reading what MarkV said, I took another look at what Scott said as well as what I wrote. I believe forgiveness is for BOTH the other person as well as the one in the position to forgive or not to forgive. Forgiveness is not EXCLUSIVELY for the person that hurt you. In that sense, I would agree with Scott. I agree Mark that unforgiveness will come out eventually and is destructive to the one holding onto it. However, love is concerned with the impact upon another as well as ourselves, and not to be underestimated. "Father forgive them for they know not what they do", spoken before any sought forgiveness, the heart of the Lord.
Also, Yes, it IS God who deals with the other person.

Yes Post Your Grieving Blog Here
Mary, Im hoping your pain is better. I am glad to see you stopping by here!

Shira, its heart wrenching to loose anyone so close to us, let alone several in a relatively short period of time. I also dealt with 4 deaths in the last few years, 2 of which I spent many months, up until the end, caring for basic needs. As you said, it doesnt seem real sometimes, almost too hard to accept, but God does see us through He is our comfort and strength, as well as hope. Bless you

Are Bible Genealogies Good
part 1. Trav, I agree God chooses, creates, does what He wants. I take "you're having trouble honoring GOD." quite seriously, and ask God to search my heart. He knows I desire to honor Him, and if I fail to do so, I want to know.
I don,t understand why you say this "You'd kick GOD's servants & wife in the teeth. By whom you've seen light." that's a pretty serious accusation.
Rom 9:21
"Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?" No doubt about it, true. I note that formed is used as opposed to created, both are from the same lump of clay. if this verse is what is supposed to show what I quoted false, I do not see that here.

Daughter Is Pregnant
Lisa, whether or not you should have emailed your pastor, is between you and God. it's done. Please don't dwell on rejection, real or perceived. rather, set your eyes on Him, things above. I imagine, having been through this with 1 daughter, that you could use support, encouragement, prayer, as could your daughter. It's a hard time, but our wonderful God can make something beautiful of this. Hold fast to Him, May He bless you both.

Are Bible Genealogies Good
"there are no big I's and small U's among humans. No one man was created more special than another, a misconception taught by some, for reasons that are beyond me." I like this, agree.
genealogies have become a bit less boring as God opens my eyes to see what he chooses. At first just long lists, seeing both Mary and Josephs lineages prompted me to ask why, and from why there's a lot on Jesus being both God and man.

Personal Jesus Relationship
Thanks MarkV. I most definitely agree that Jesus Christ is sinless. He is the perfect, unblemished, Lamb of God. Worthy is the Lamb! He is Holy, the Almighty, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Who is like Him?
Some questions are to clarify what the poster believes. Understand about imputation vs becoming, I've heard various thoughts on this, some considering mark 15:34, Matt 27:46, "And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Hope to cont soon...

Personal Jesus Relationship
MarkV, I know this was not addressed to me, but you wrote: "But you are wrong that Jesus was made sin. He was sinless. And died and rose again sinless." Just wondering how you explain "2 Cor
5:21 "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in him"

Tolerating Each Other In Marriage
Anon, it may be very difficult while in pain, but that very pain may draws one to their knees. I implore you to seek the Lord with ALL your heart. Stay before Him in prayer, cry out all you think/feel, He' shows us our own hearts and actions which need to be laid down at the cross, FORGIVE, seek Him to be filled with His love for your husband. Seek God to love Him and to love your husband. Stay in that place with Him, or go back as much as possible. remain in the vine. I am fairly certain that any of us can grow in love for another, seek to do that, empowered by God. May God bless you and your marriage, you know it is His desire.

Personal Jesus Relationship
What,s more personal then a love which would lay down His life, in our place, to die for us, while we were yet sinners, and unlovely? We, that know Him and know that love, love Him in return, We love because He first loved us. The more I see Him/His love (they are inseparable), the more I am moved to love Him in return. Yes it does have an emotional aspect to it, a passion if you will, but it is not only that. Such love chooses to obey even when the feelings are absent. there's the ever increasing desire to know and love Him more, to dwell in His presence.

Christ Is God In The Flesh
MarkV, I was looking for "chris", realized it was me, chria/christina, typo I've made before...I'm thinking, just as we must lay down self at His feet to be more like Him, He chose to lay down His nature (divine) to become flesh, Phil 2:6.7 "Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage, 7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness." divine nature did not cease to exist, just as our flesh does not cease to exist. "if we are to believe in our rebirth, how can we do that without the Divine Spirit of Christ in us?" Agree. the Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God Ro 8:16

Christ Is God In The Flesh
"If you cannot believe Jesus Christ had a human nature and a Divine nature, how could you possibly believe in rebirth, that Jesus Christ lives in you?" Good point MarkV. This immediately came to mind: Col 1:27-29 "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. 29 To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me."

Jesus Delays Second Coming
"Once more, I mean why do you feel He has waited over 2000 years to collect His Bride?"
Simply because it is not the time appointed by the Father, which time we know not. However, too soon, and all that may possibly be saved will not be brought into the family of God, and too late, no one would survive. All with Love as motive, all HIS perfect time. He alone is sovereign.

Prayer For Rain In Texas
Father God, You are Almighty God, our protector, may you manifest your protection and love to the people of Texas impacted by this tragedy. May you meet the many needs of these people in ways that will bring you honor and glory. Raise up your church to pray, to give, to comfort and love, to be your hands and feet. May the Lord Jesus be made known and be lifted up in countless lifes. In Jesus name
Although it does not compare, where I live we have been dealing with the effects of hurricane Irene. The blessings that have come about are awesome, I've had multiple opportunities to bless and be blessed. Difficulties, even tragedies, have a way of humbling many, making a way for God's blessings.
