Can You Feel Prayer
There is nothing in God's Word that says we are to know or not know when others pray for us. It is common for people to say: "I know you were praying for me. I could feel your prayers." No. You might have experienced gratitude knowing that someone was praying. But you didn't FEEL anyone's prayers. Feelings cannot be trusted. They come and go. However, the God-breathed scriptures of the Bible CAN be trusted. Find out all you will ever need to know about prayer on those pages.

Disobey Our Parents For Religion
Jesus did not disobey.. the passages do not say his parents told him to stay with them.. also.. it is clear that jesus was considered a man at 12 yrs old.. its a shame our culture doesn't teach their kids at a young age.. I do.. my 11 yr old can out work most men..

Living In The Last Days
Living in the last days? Over and over we hear this phrase every year. Yet we know the scriptures say no man knows the day or the hour. Since we dont know, why dont we get our life in order so the last day wont catch us by surprise. If you're expecting Jesus to come soon then be prepared for Him. Dont waiste time criticizing each other about who's the smartest or who's the best speller. No one and I mean NO ONE FULLY UNDERSTANDS THE SCRIPTURES so dont let hate arise because you have a dissagreement. My brothers and sisters hold your tongue and be blessed.

Is The Bible A Fiction Book
God cannot and will not be contained in a book. Christ himself said that there cant be enough books written to explain God.Lots of books were left out of the Bible but you still have those that say it is only filled with what we need. What we need is a relationship with God and stop trying to figure out who wrote Genesis. God bless you.

Loving Someone Unconditionally
Loving someone is never wrong. But there are those who are afraid to show the same love back. Keep loving him and maybe he'll come around. Love is never wasted but sometimes misplaced. A lot of people put their heart and soul in a relationship but doesnt realize the other person doesnt feel the same. Some are afraid of committment. It's up to you on how far you go. Talk to him and let him know you're serious about a life with him. If he can't commit then maybe it's time to move on. Life's too short to live on maybes. But do give love a chance to grow.

Does Jesus Appear To Anyone
I have seen Him 14 times in my life.

Husband's Chatting With Women
Sarah, You have my empathy. I don't know what kind of abuse your suffering, there are many kinds. And no, It's not that easy to just leave. For those that have never been in a situation like your's, they can't possibly understand. All their fine words ain't worth nothin. When is enough enough? It chalenges your faith to the limit. I am struggling much myself with an overbearing, controling, manipulative, bla bla bla ....person. My wife is totally disabled, so leaving is not just that easy. I remind myself often of what king David and Abraham and Joseph went through before they saw their prayers answered. Hang in there. God has a plan.

Husband's Chatting With Women
I am personally comming out of an "emotional affair" myself. I was totally unprepared for what happened. My marriage is sorely lacking and this lady gave me what I was not getting from my wife, she spoke my love language. Fortunately we both are commited christians and things went no farther than talking. There are many good books that can help, I have and am reading them myself. Get your husbands heart back and he will have no need for another. Focus on the Family has these books, two good ones to start with are "Love & Respect" and "The Five Love Languages"

Yes you should or your daughter will never trust you ever

It does not say that works saves anyone, it says that those who are saved will do the works of Christ.
---MarkV. on 9/2/10

What do you call the works of Christ?
Do you, in the church that you attend, call these works faith?

David, I do not know what Christmas has anything to do with what we were discussing. And why you even ask me,
---MarkV. on 9/3/10

The reason?
James faced the same teachings in the Church.(James 2)
There were those who thought as you, that to believe meant they had to do nothing, This they called faith.

The devil believes in God also, yet he will not be in Heaven with us, will he?

What's the difference between the saved and the unsaved who believe Jesus Christ is the son of God?
Those who will be saved, make Jesus their Lord, and To make him Lord they must live in obedience to him.

Did you happen to read the passage correctly? "He that believeth on Me"
what does that mean to you? It should mean the person is saved right? ---MarkV. on 9/2/10

So you believe one can save themselves simply by believing that Jesus is the Son of God?
If someone celebrates Christmas, are they saved?
If not, why are you saved by believing Jesus is the Son of God and they are not?

David, ok, you didn't call him a liar, or you didn't use those words, but saying he is a false teacher is saying he is lying about the word of God.---MarkV. on 9/1/10

The reason that I do not see Charles Stanley as a Liar is because what he teaches, though it is a lie, he believes to be the Truth.
Jesus called him a Blind guide.(Matthew 15:14)
Even though they think they see, they are blind to the Truth.

Why don't you educate me? ---MarkV. on 9/1/10
Charles Stanley teaches that to believe in Jesus (John 3:16) does not require that one needs to any works.
When Jesus taught:
(John 14:12)
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also"

Some people, however, pray the old parish council prayer. "Lord, send us a pastor, poor and humble. You keep him humble and we'll keep him poor."
---Cluny on 8/31/10

I am not one to say that a pastor should live in poverty, but if he wants wealth he needs to get another job.

(1 Timothy 6:5-6) NIV
"Constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain, but godliness with contentment is great gain."

"in fact you are on line calling him a liar. I would suggest that before you say something so wrong about someone, that you study what he teaches before you call him a false teacher."
---MarkV. on 8/31/10

I called Charles Stanley a False Teacher, I never called him a Liar.
And for you to say that I did say this when I did not, would make you a.....

Why Do People Reject Jesus
They rejected Him because they wanted an earthly king, just like in the O - Testament times.
---Lawrence on 8/31/10

Excellent answer my friend and I totally agree.

Stop being a false teacher yourself.
---Mark_Eaton on 8/31/10

Very convincing argument Mark, but next time try and use the Bible, its a little more convincing than your opinion.

David, can I ask what you have against Charles Stanley? ---MarkV. on 8/30/10

Charles Stanley is a False teacher.
The teachings of God are meant to save, are they not?
Charles claims that his salvation teachings come from God, and yet he sells them.

To put it into perspective, lets say that you have the cure for Cancer.
Your Mother whom you love, has this Cancer.
Would you sell her the cure or would you give it to her?
You would give it to her.
Because you Love her.

Charles claims that he loves you also, but his actions do not quite match his claims, now do they?
Charles chooses to sell that which he claims is meant to save.

Did any of Gods teachers in the Bible do this?

Teachers like Charles Stanley are mentioned in one of the Lords parables.
He is known as an Oil Merchant in the parable of the Ten Virgins.

What is an Oil Merchant?
The afore mentioned Oil in the parable, is the Truth which we receive through the Gift of the Holy Spirit(Lamp).
That truth provide light in the darkness, so that we may find our way.

Charles Stanley is one who claims that his teachings (Oil) comes from the Holy Spirit.
Charles will sell you that Oil, which is meant to be free to those who seek the truth, in your local bookstore.
