Did Mary Have More Kids
(A Jewish idiom for sexual intercourse between a man and a woman) 'till' (until) she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS." It is obvious from those verses that Mary did not remain a virgin, and there is no mention of her being barren.

The old "till" or "until" ..Ok

Matt. 28:29 - I am with you "until the end of the world." So after the end of the world, he will no longer be with us!

2 Sam. 6:23 - Saul's daughter Micah was childless "up to the point" (until) her death. How was she with her child after her death?

Did Jesus Have Brothers
We even notice here that Jesus did not even honor Mary his earthly mother, nor was he obedient to her as she apparently did not even support His ministry.
---Lee1538 on 12/9/08

Then Lee what you are saying is Jesus disobey his own commanment " Honor your Mother and your Father"..aren't we told to imitate Christ?

Do You Feel Evil Shadows Around
Since I got into church this year i have been seeing shadows and not only at home but during service at church and also vapor-type blotches in mid-air about person size starting from ground level and some even hovering a little off the ground. What the heck could this be? I thought it had to be from God because of when i started seeing these things. Can anyone give me any input they may have on it, preferrably through experience.

Is Abortion A Political Issue
Wow,it is amazing how different people think. Everyone rationalizes there theories and honestly believe in their own thoughts on the subject.I too intended on putting in my input but upon reading everyone else's, this isn't political or even pertaining to humanity, this is in the realm of the Almighty to answer. Everyone knows that there will be a day we will answer for our sins, let's worry about only what we would or will do and leave the rest up to each individual and God. God's will is always done, if he doesn't want a peice of legislature to pass, IT WON'T!!!!!

Do You Bind And Loose Today
Donna the Church was given the authorithy then as it is today.

Saved Different Ways
Mima-Is there more than one way to be saved? Yes,1 Pt 3:20- says we are saved by baptism.Hebrews 12:14 it says that we will not see the lord unless we are holy, and that we have to strive for his holiness. In Matthew 6:14-15, reads we must forgive others or we will not be forgiven. John 6:54 We will have eternal life by eating the flesh and drinking the blood of our Saviour Jesus Christ. also in matthew 19:16-17 Jesus says keep the commandments and you will have life.

Can We Pray For The Dead
Robyn said :No where in God's Word are we told to pray for the dead

2 Timothy 1:16-18 "May the Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, he was not ashamed of my chains, but when he arrived in Rome he searched for me eagerly and found me - may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day - and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus."

Is Mary A Mediator For Christians
There is but one church (Eph4:4-6 -- one body, one faith) --only one bride. But the beliefs vary (Rom 14:13).
---Sheila on 4/16/08

The beliefs "should not vary" "Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all say the same thing, and there be no dissensions among you,"
1Corinthians 1:10

Baptism And Watery Planet
Bruce - Symbol? In Ezek 36:25-27, it says, "I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleannesses. A new heart I will give you and a new spirit I will put within you,and I will put My spirit within you. Acts 22:16 - " Rise and be baptized, and wash away your sins." Also in Acts 2 :38, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

History Of The Church
A short easy book to read on the history of the church is "The Trail of Blood" by J.M.Carroll
---Rev_Herb on 4/7/08

Carroll himself identifies many early churches as baptistic br>Cathari and the Albigenses taught that Christ was a angel
Paulicians taught that there is a Good God and a evil God.
Others rejected the government of the Catholic Church but not the dogma. Many believed in the Real presence, the ever-virgin Mary, regenerational baptism and more.

Is Sola Scriptura Proper
The Bible in itself can lend no support for some Roman Church doctrines and like the Adventists and Mormons must resort to other 'sacred' writings to support their doctrinal beliefs.
---Lee on 4/2/08

The Bible itself can lend no support for Bible only, so you ourself go by other "sacred writing", like Martin Luther. In fact the Bible say the "Church is the pillar and foundation of truth"(1 Tim 3:15)

Is Sola Scriptura Proper
A good reference is Studies in the Gospel of John "Light in the Darkness" by H. Kent.

Simply put, I reject the Roman Church shamanistic interpretation.
---Lee on 3/20/08

Even a better reference is the Early Church Fathers edition...

Is The Bible The Authority
A-Servant-2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

As Author of the Bible, God is "The Authority", and He says His Word 'thoroughly furnishes' us.

It seems no other 'authority' is needed.

Where do you get "Authority" in this scripture? God is the Authority , but scripture is not!

Is Lent Biblical
Where in the Bible is the practice Lent mentioned? I know it is Man's tradition but where can I find it in the Bible?

Thus the Catechism of the Catholic Church states:

"'For we have not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sinning' [Heb 4:15]. By the solemn forty days of Lent the Church unites herself each year to the mystery of Jesus in the desert." (CCC 540).
