The statement was meant to be tongue in cheek, emphasizing the fact Jesus was completely naked, fully exposed to the multitude that was gathered to witness his execution. So tired of the silly argument that the Romans were carefully observing Jewish tradition and carefully draped a cloth over the male genetalia. Nonsense!!! JESUS WAS CRUCIFIED FULLY NAKED~! And it IS BLASPHEMY to suggest otherwise.

Still going... Second, there were many women in the Bible who were clearly leaders in the early church. Remember, the first person to proclaim Jesus resurrected was Mary Magdalene. While it's not clear whether they were ordained or not , there were many women who were key in the formation of the 1st century church and who received commendations from Paul & other epistle writers: Lydia (Acts 16:14), Priscilla (Acts 18:18, Rom. 16:3, 1 Cor. 16:19), Philip's unmarried daughter's who prophesied (Acts 21:9), Junias - referred to as an apostle (note the lower case "a") (Rom. 16.7), Tryphena and Tryphosa (Rom. 16:12), Julia (Rom. 16:15), Nympha (Col. 4:16), and probably others that I missed during my quick search.

Thirdly, if the church is the body of believers universal and not the building where we gather, the why is it OK for women to write Christian books or to teach seminars or to teach at Christian seminaries, but not to stand behind the pulpits as pastors. To me, those are the same thing. if you're going to keep women out of the pulpit, then you have to keep women from teaching men in any way. Otherwise, it's a violation of your own arguments. The only loophole you have is to redefine the church as that building with the steeple on top and a pulpit on the stage. However, if you do that, you're using an unbiblical definition of the church - go read 1 Cor. 12:12-31.

Offended By Women Pastors

Continuing from a previous post since I ran out of words. We are all part of the church, Christ's body, but we choose to worship in different congregations, denominations, and faith traditions. Some of those hold that the ordination of women is permitted by the Bible. First, to counter the arguments from the Epistles, Paul was speaking to specific situations and specific congregations where women were being particularly disruptive because of their strong-willed ignorance. These verses have been taken out of context to suppress the ordination of women.

Are Some Miracles Fake
	In those cases, when the cameras stop rolling, the miricles stop. I would love to see Benny Hinn, (not to mention any names) spend the day at a hospital in the emergency ward!

Is God Complicated
	Well,hmmm, let's see what the Word says."But I fear,lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ." Cor.11:3 or "Psa.119:130 "The entrance of Thy Word giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple". And theres 1Cor.14:33 "For God is not the author of confusion." I think people just love drama.

Do Smokers Go To Heaven
	Are you saying I can lose my salvation if I smoke cigarretes? How can you know what my relationship is with Jesus Christ unless you are Jesus Christ? I believe God knows what I am going through and accepts my pleas for forgiveness and repentance. Our Lord is a merciful God.Amen.

Don't Want To Go To Church
	Don't take things so personally man things like this get in and ruin a church because you are taking offense that doesn't need to be there

Christians Speak The Right Words
	What trap? Using jargon? Mistaking jargon for spirituality? There are I'm sure as many answers to your question as there are people who do this. Some may use certain phrases out of habit, without regard that others don't talk like that... or it could be ego (which is the answer I suspect you were "baiting for"), or something else that you and I haven't thought of at all.

	I think most everyone here is on the same page, you should tell, you should repent, you should stop drinking, being sorry isn't good enough, repenting, caring enough to stop, caring enough to make it right, you wife already asked so she knows somethings up, it's better to tell than for her to find out from someone else.
