However you will see no such teaching in Romans 4 or the Gospel of Grace in this Church age. BY GRACE YOU "HAVE BEEN" SAVED THROUGH FAITH...---kathr4453

Kathrine
True, If you create your own vernacular, as your teachers have, redefining Grace and Faith to fit your needs. As Peter foretold, you can make Pauls epistles say pretty much whatever you want them to say, except in the case below, where you ignore these two witnesses, simply because you dont understand.

Ye see then how by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. (James 2:24)

For it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
(Romans 2:13)

However our salvation is immediate upon belief, and we are INSTANTLY ADOPTED sons of God-- kathr4453

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
(Matthew 24:13)

Kathrine
But if this is true, if we are instantly adopted when we believe, Why did Jesus teach, He that endures to the end...will be saved?

If we are saved instantly when we believe, we wouldnt need to wait until the end....would we?

When we keep the commands Gods gives us, commands through his Holy Spirit, these deeds are called Good works. These Good works are much like the righteousness which Abraham was credited for, which is why Paul uses Abraham for this reference.

Why are they called good works?
Because they are done out of Love, and love changes the heart. Changing the hearts of those who continuously do them, making them good. Paul called this change the circumcision of the heart.
but glory, honor and peace to every man who worketh good, to the Jew first and also to the Gentile.
(Romans 2:10)

Once upon a time, there was a group of boys who kept an elderly widows yard all summer long. Every week, she would pay these boys $3 dollars each. She enjoyed their company and would give them KoolAid and cookies when they finished.

One of these boys, believing the Old Woman was poor, came back that winter and shoveled her sidewalk and driveway for free. She would invite him in for Hot cocoa and cake when the boy finished. She came to love the boy as her own, and the boy came back shoveling, every winter until she died. The boy, unexpectedly inherited her entire estate, discovering she was quite wealthy.

The boy did not work every winter, expecting an inheritance. He did it, because he had come to Love the Old Woman.

You talk about everything BUT JESUS CHRIST.---kathr4453

I will try to make this clearer to you, for you dont seem to understand this as well as you think.

If someone is following the Holy Spirit, they are following Jesus.
Why?? Because they are one!!!
For there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one. (1 John 5:7).

StrongAxe
She listens to you, can you explain it so she can understand?

The gospels are STEEPED with verses Jesus states OVER AND OVER we are to FOLLOW HIM...JESUS.---kathr4453

Kathrine
I wanted to address this yesterday, but didnt have enough space. In the above statement, I discovered the root of your blindness. Now maybe we can help you.

Kathrine, when you are Following Holy Spirit.....you are following Jesus.
For there are three that bear record in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one.
(1 John 5:7).
I and My Father are one.(John 10:30)

Benny Hinns teachings are foolishness. But you must admit, if he teaches his followers to follow the Holy Spirit and your teachers dont, what does that say about your teachers?

I can't find a single verse that says we are to FOLLOW The Holy Spirit. Kathr4453

Kathrine
You really need to Acquaint yourself with the teachings of Jesus Christ. When Jesus left, God the Father gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit. Do you know why? It is to remind us of what Jesus taught.

Dont believe me, do you? Maybe you will believe Jesus this time.
But the Comforter, who is the Holy Ghost whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:26

Now why would Jesus want us to be reminded of what he taught, when you believe his teachings are not even relevant? Hmmm...puzzling??

These are evidence they don't have the law in their hearts, and those who unquestioningly follow them obviously don't either.
---StrongAxe on 5/10/21

I agree, which only proves they were not chosen by God. These are the blind guides Jesus warned us about. The very fact that we have so many doctrines, which oppose each other, proves only one can be the Truth and the rest are lies.

This is why God wants us to follow the Holy Spirit. Many have never been taught how to follow, including these teachers. These churches are like franchises, identified only by their doctrines.

They sent these folks to school, to learn the doctrine, much like a MacDonalds manager, only we call our schools a seminary.

The big question is, what are "those days" and when is "after those days"? .---StrongAxe

StrongAxe
(Those days) is in reference to when they were under the Old Covenant Law of Moses. (After those days) refers to being under the New Covenant. Under the New Covenant we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who will teach us the truth. The Truth which is taught through our conscience.

If you read (1 Corinthians 2) Paul explains what the Holy Spirit does for the believer. Paul uses that infamous word, Mystery, in this teaching. Which simply means, the New Covenant is a mystery for those who have not received this gift from God.

Better yet...do a study of the word, conscience, in the bible.

But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed and keep all My statutes and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live: he shall not die.
(Ezekiel 18:21)

David is comparing apples to oranges ---kathr4453 on 5/8/21

Is she right...or is she wrong?
After all, Ezekiel was a prophet in the Old Testament. Many people, like Kathrine, believe Old Testament prophecies are not relative to the New Testament.

These doctrines quote these Old Testament prophets, when its applicable to their doctrines, but refute those same prophets when they show their doctrines false. Ezekiels prophecy is talking about Eternal Life, was Eternal Life offered under the Law of Moses?

Fail To Tell The Truth

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them, (Hebrews 10:16)

Notice in the verse above, God says he will put his Laws in our minds and write them on our hearts. This is not the first time God has written his Laws down. Wasnt the Law of Moses....also written down???

Were the children of Israel under the Law which was written down for them? If they were under the written Law, doesnt it make sense, the believer is under that Law which God has written down for them?

Dont believe me?
Who do you trust more, Kathrine, or one of the Lords prophets?..(Ezekiel 18:21)

Fail To Tell The Truth

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, unto them that keep His covenant and His testimonies.
(Psalm 25:10)

God has made covenants with a few folks throughout time, most notably was the covenant God made with Moses. When you read the Old Testament, it is very clear, a covenant is Gods Law.

God gave Moses a covenant to give to the children of Israel, and God gave Jesus a new covenant to all who would believe in him. However the sticking point in the covenant God gave Jesus, is...Though many know they are under the New Covenant, they do not believe they are under the New law of God.

And since they do not keep the New Law, they do not have the Truth.

Is it not true, if these men introduced these teachings in your church, they would be called false teachers? If not why not?

(Romans 2:6-7) God who will render to every man according to his deeds: to those who by patient continuance in welldoing seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life.

(James 2:23-24)
And the Scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness, and he was called the friend of God. Ye see then how by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

(Romans 2:13) For it is not the hearers of the law who are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

If Jesus ended the law, as you believe, why would the Holy Spirit convict you of sin, when in (1John 3:5) it clearly says, sin is the transgression of the Law?

I understand that is a difficult question to answer, so go ask your teachers....for a coherent answer, and I will wait.

Coherent... logically connected, consistent:

I find it annoying that you make false accusations.---kathr4453

Look carefully Kathrine, it was a question, not an accusation. The fact you saw it as an accusation...is annoying. You are not under the conviction of the Holy Spirit and I was simply trying to understand why.

There are many false doctrines and I am trying to discover ways to wake people up. My hope is in learning a way through their testimonies.

Oh...one other thing, I never said baptism saves you, or like you, believe someone is saved when they receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are saved when we are born of the Spirit. And the sign of that birth was foretold in (1 John 3:9 & 10). If you choose not to believe it, that is between you and God.

Let me ask you David, exactly what did Cornelius do to receive the Holy Spirit?---kathr4453

Cornelius, very interesting because the story clearly shows in (Acts 10:47) these folks did receive the Holy Spirit without water. Which explains to me, why so many people do not get baptized in water. I have come across many Christians who did not feel a Godly sorrow over sin. They all had one thing in common, all were never baptized in water.

But I love your Acts 2 verse. Proves Calvinism is false.---kathr4453

Kathrine
Never really thought about it those terms, but you are right. I guess by your answer...you were never Baptized in water?

I received the Holy Spirit when I got saved...kathr4453 on 4/27/21

You say you received the Holy Spirit, could you share with me what you did to receive this gift? Did you follow the instruction in (Acts 2:38) or did you receive the gift another way?

John the Baptist required repentance first before he baptized with water, asking many to come back AFTER they repented. ---kathr4453

Kathrine
As you can see in (Acts 19:1-3) People who were baptized by John did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirt. A gift needed for the spiritual conviction of sin. I was baptized when I was 12, but I did not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit until I was 28,...after my first confession of sin.

At the time I didnt know what had happened, but the guilt over sin, after that prayer, was undeniable. Before that time my sin was before men, after that Gift my sin was before God. My wife had the same experience, after the confession of sin, as many people do.
