Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Another hit and run.

Michael, I can find only one verse in all of scripture that uses the words faith and cross in the same sentence.

Hebrews 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Our faith is in Christ, who died on the cross. The cross was an emblem of suffering and shame. And the Cross in our lives brings the same to us, as it did to Paul. This is what Paul testifies to, and what James Stuart and so many christians throughout history testify to. Even Peter. Let us LOOK TO JESUS .

Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Just another hit and run by Michael.

I can not find any scripture that refers to those inside Israel and outside Israel or any reference indicating a wall of separation between them that would distinguish some sort of standing with God .

Why is it necessary to create a straw man here to promote the Gospel? Paul in his devout Jewish state was probably more Jewish than many Jews, who took the law so seriously he murdered Christians. His Roman citizenship didn't diminish his attention to the Law.

God choosing Paul had nothing to do with his Roman citizenship. I believe it had to do with his knowledge of the law and scriptures.

Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Michael, your last comment is odd coming from someone who claims to be a Christian. There are other places in scripture Paul says to follow God. Paul isn't here either today. And he's not going anywhere now is he, so you suggest we follow a dead man or the Living Christ.

Another interesting scripture says we are taught of Christ.

Your comment makes me wonder if you don't have a personal relationship with the Lord? It doesn't sound like it.

Paul said " follow me THE WAY I FOLLOW CHRIST" So was Jesus here when Paul made that statement?

Scientology follow Hubbard
Mormons followed Smith
RCC the Pope

When we are surrendered to the Lord we follow Him and He leads us into all truth.

Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

So we see the foundation has already been laid, which is Jesus Christ.

But we are told to be careful how we build upon this foundation of Jesus Christ. I see Paul building his own testimony he shares in Philippians 3. That I may know Him and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death and so on, where this is exclusively to the Body of Christ. Michael can only describe the outside of the package, anyone can do, but has never once described the content inside the package. This means what it actually is being In Christ. Seeing he explained it away shows he doesn't know the reality of being IN THE BOC.

Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Michael, you don't seem to be listening to others here. Paul has laid out for us the mystery of the Church. This mystery is part of the Gospel , but not the entire gospel.

The Gospel is the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the CHURCH is God's plan and purpose for those saved during this dispensation.

I believe you need to think about that and realize others just don't see it the way you do.

The Gospel of 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is not a mystery. It is the Gospel. The only Gospel.

I see you are the one arguing against sound argument here.

What Is Rightly Dividing The Word

Galatians 3:26-28 gives us insight into the phrase in Christ and what it means. "In Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." Paul is speaking to the Christians in Galatia, reminding them of their new identity since they placed their faith in Jesus Christ. To be "baptized into Christ" means that they were identified with Christ, having left their old sinful lives and fully embracing the new life in Christ.

This was not taught in the Old Testament.

Gospels Of Circumcision

God made a covenant with Noah, saying He would never again destroy the earth with a flood. So a covenant is an oath, a promise that is not always conditional. There are unconditional covenants in the Bible and conditional covenants. All God's promises are Covenants with mankind, some conditional as was the law, and some unconditional as with Noah.

We see in Hebrews 6 All God's promises are sealed by an oath, God's Word. That oath is a Covenant. Those promises of eternal life are also sealed by an oath. A Covenant Promise.

John 17 prayer is a covenant promise to the Church.

No one is saved no matter what dispensation you believe you are in without a Covenant.

Gospels Of Circumcision

Pricilla and Aquila were not Pauls converts , but fellow workers. Both Jews, like Apollos. If Apollos was in the one Church, Michael says is not the BOC, but when more perfectly understands what Priscilla ans Aquilla show him, he's now transferred out of that Church into Another Church? I can't find any scripture to back that up. Stealing from one Church to another? Where is any scripture Pauls Church stole from that "other Church"?

And is that possible? If they received the Holy Spirit beginning Acts 2, the same Holy Spirit we receive at salvation, was God confused switching these Jews from one church to another, simply because they came to a more perfect understanding (through the help of The Holy Spirit surely? )

What Was Paul's Gospel

Isaiah 53:12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the [a]spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Impossible to put all of Isaiah 53 here.

Question Michael, does this verse apply to you? It was written exclusively to Jews correct? So you are saying on one hand Jesus died only for the sin of Jews.

So your sin was not laid on Christ correct?

Peter reiterated this in His epistles. Does Paul, or are you saved differently than others?

What Was Paul's Gospel

Michael, we all crucified the Lord. My sin crucified the Lord. Peter was addressing Jews at Pentecost from all over the world coming to Jerusalem. Not all of them personally crucified the Lord either. But Jesus was Crucified died and rose again. And Peter is telling the Jews this was all prophecies IN THEIR SCRIPTURES. Why is that a problem for you? This I understand is what you believe "the Mystery"is about. So Peter from Acts 2 on preached "the mystery"of Jesus crucifixion death and resurrection.

There is only one church Michael and Jesus is Head of THE church, not A Church.

Where will you move the goal post now? You make these statements about The Mystery and then sabotage your own beliefs.

What Was Paul's Gospel

Michael doesn't believe Acts 2 is to him. Acts 2 ! Peter testifying to the resurrection of Jesus Christ, that Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah John the Baptist made the way for. John said the one who comes after him will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. This very same message Paul preached in Acts 19. So was Paul also preaching another message too? Acts 2 is addressed to all humanity that Jesus Christ who was crucified was raised up from the dead as the Prophecy mentioned in Acts shows it prophesied of His resurrection. Any other gospel not founded on Acts 2 is another gospel or no gospel at all.

There is one faith one spirit and one baptism. Not two faiths, not two baptisms not two spirits. Ephesians 4:4-6

What Was Paul's Gospel

Let me reiterate here again. Let's also use some common sense here. If Paul was aware of two different Gospels he would not have written the following. That is, God through Paul would not have written these verses below. If there were two faiths at the same time as Michael suggests, Paul certainly would have clarified this and go on to explain the differences.

Ephesians 4: 4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling,

5 One Lord, ONE FAITH, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

What Was Paul's Gospel

Michael_e, I think you are getting ahead of yourself and contradicting here. You first said Peter James John preached to the Circumcision only, and just now said they were told their sins would be forgiven in the future at a time of refreshing. Is this correct?

One book in our scriptures all Christians today believed over and over is 1st John 1:9, 1st John 2:12 showing our sins are forgiven here and now by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Please read Acts 20:28 with 1st Peter 1:18-19. Paul in Acts 20, and Peter are in agreement the Church was also purchased with the blood of Jesus Christ and are in full agreement.

The same Gospel.

What Was Paul's Gospel

The only reason there is the testimony of Christ coming from Gentiles is because the Lord sent a special apostle directly to us Gentiles (Eph 3:1-2).

---michael_e on 9/19/21

I think what's missing is Ephesians also speaks of the new Creature being made from Jew and Gentile. Not just Gentiles. The wall that separated Jews from Gentiles had been broken down.

But you seem to be saying that only some Jews are saved by Paul's Gospel who excluded other Jews and some were saved by Peter's Gospel who excluded Gentiles. How can the walls be broken down?

I don't believe God is the author of confusion.

Paul said there is "one"faith not two, , one hope, one spirit , one baptism not two. Eph 4:4-6

The Language Of God

All the versions are interpretations of the Greek manuscripts. Men did not translate out of inspiration, but did so to help the common man understand God through his own language.

Lacking this divine inspiration, all interpreters did the best they could at the time with what they had.

Now that interlinears and concordances are accessible, even the most unlearned person can decide for himself what God truly meant to say, apart from the translations.

To those who study the scriptures earnestly to find out the heart and mind of God, these tools have great value.

He chose languages to reveal Himself through for a reason.

Does Satan Hear Our Prayers

---Mark_V. on 1/24/13

In order to appreciate God's glory, understanding that He is Creator of both good and evil is important. He is responsible.

Sin is a temporary excrescence in His creation. He has made allowance for it, and will save all men.

A murderer will give an account to God. If alive, God holds man responsible for his judgment. The purpose is justice. He may "pay" for his crime, but is still accountable to God for his actions.

As I said, show me where it says in scripture that God holds man responsible for his sins.

I will show where he does not any longer because of the Perfect Sacrifice, and that God conciliated with all men everywhere, no matter what their sins are.

Do All Go To Heaven

Phil, at. Judgment God will tell some to." Depart from me I never knew you."
---shira4368 on 1/23/13

You misplace the scriptures. The passage you refer to pertains to the judgment of the unfaithful Jews at His return to Olivet [Mt 7:23] and the other nations that persecuted His people during the end times [Mt 25:41].

It is on earth, at least one thousand years before the Great White Throne judgment, when all the dead shall be resurrected.

Please read again carefully to whom He is speaking, where He is speaking, and when.

What Is New Covenant Law

"who are displaying (BY NATURE) the action of the law written in their hearts"

It says "the work of the law".

It does not say "the law".

Israel will have the law supernaturally imposed upon their hearts and minds. Jer 31:33

No one has received this, especially the nations. It is for when God directly removes ungodliness out of Jacob. Isa 59:20-21, and redeems His people Israel.

Knowing right from wrong, good and evil, is our inheritance through Adam's sin.

It is the heart of man that is corrupt, not his nature.

"For out out of the heart are coming wicked reasonings, murders, adulteries, prostitutions, thefts, false testimonies, calumnies."

Are All Sins Forgiven

Sin is missing the mark.

Mankind is unable, in the flesh, to hit the mark, which is to become sons of God just like Jesus is.

It is apparent that no one can be like He is. So on that account, no one is free from "missing the mark, which is what sin is.

Until we are glorified, as --kathr4453 pointed out, no one is sinless, not even the saints.

Nevertheless, it is God Who justifies, not ourselves. He has made no provision for us to hit the mark apart from His Spirit.

All sin, past, present or future, is taken away by the Great Sacrifice.

The only sin that remains is unbelief.
