Should I Marry My Fiance

What??? The bible says once you are enlightened, if you knowingly betray god you walk on the gift. Hebrews 10:26 ,29 You betrayed jesus to be with this man, god warns christians to flee from fornication 1 Corinthians 6:18. You chose your own childs father over the will of god. At this point, the health, emotional and spiritual well being of this child come first and your walk with the lord. I would ask myself, is this man a good father, is he loving and patient and kind. I would marry the father of this child if he loved me, continue to walk in Christ and build the family with a solid foundation in Christ. And, I would have a long talk with your fiance about all matters of parenthood, planning and values before you marry him.

There is no contradiction in scripture, and there is no loophole.

JESUS said for women: mark 10:12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits ADULTERY Romans 7:3 If she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an "ADULTERESS". 1 Corinthians 7:10 ..it is commanded by god that she must remain unmarried or else be RECONCILED. For MEN: Matthew 19:9 anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits ADULTERY. Proverbs 6:32 A man who commits ADULTERY .. DESTROYS himself. Corinthians 6:9.. the wicked including adulterers will not inherit the kingdom of God-

Mich-I would say that the ex-husband has chosen to commit to a life of adultery and is in serious trouble. Likewise, the woman he re-married is an adulteress so there is nothing good or pure to that relationship. The adulteress is the opposite to the woman of god. Outside of god, there can be no love and, to love god is to obey his will where there is freedom from the bondages of sin. The bible says god will test the heart with fire, and with fire it will be tested. I think for the wife, she has suffered greatly. I think god will keep her close to his heart, comfort her and guide her life for his will, if she so asks. In that can be the greatest joy, without a man. The bible says God will judge the fornicators and adulterers of this world.

Yes, We are to consider all the scripture. And, I believe gods word is correct. There is only one exception and biblical reason for divorce. That is only for a man. And, god makes that clear - this does not apply to women.

Matthew 5:32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

Any remarriage other than this is adultery, and any woman of god knows gods word. Remarriage is adultery and sin. Men are warned not to fall for her (woman who has left the husband of her youth), because her feet lead to the grave and death (proverbs) and she brings a man to live in adultery (New Testiment). Truth.

I stand on the word of god, it is a rock - not a stumbling block.

Again,JESUS DEFINES ADULTERY mark 10:12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits ADULTERY11"Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman COMMITS ADULTERY against her.Romans 7:3 So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an ADULTERESS. 1 Corinthians 7:10 A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be RECONCILED to her husband.

WARNING - Corinthians 6:9 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor ADULTERERS....

Anne, the following verse says nothing about the topic of remarriage. 1 Corinthians 7:15 15But if the unbeliever leaves, let him do so. A believing man or woman is not bound in such circumstances, God has called us to live in peace. God does not contradict himself and he does not make mistakes. Any woman who remarries while her husband is still alive is termed "the adulteress". Everything taught by god, jesus and the apostles supports this.

Premarital relations (fornication) and divorce and remarriage (adultery) have brought forth so much defilement, destruction chaos and pain to human lives- and often the ones who pay this price are the children. We are to die to sin , and live as christ specified.

My Husband Is Narcissistic

The narcissist is another word for a person who lives in a world of lies, and demands others do so with them. I would pray, stay strong and live by example.

The bible gives info. According to experts, narcissism is arrogance, shallow emotions, lying, shamelessness, inability for remorse, projection and exploitation of others. The bible describes these same behaviors ie - proverbs 21:24 The proud and arrogant man-"Mocker" 2Tim3 :2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, 4treacherous,rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God etc.

The only view point is christ's.
It is a wicked and adulterous generation.
JESUS SAID Mark 10: 11"Anyone who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her. 12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits ADULTERY." Romans 7:3 So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an ADULTERESS. 1 Corinthians 7:10 To the married I give this COMMAND (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be RECONCILED to her husband. 1 John 2:4 The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. The book of proverbs says it all.

God can not contradict himself. There is no blessing in sin, even though it appears to thrive.. it is in the absence of the holy spirit and the wages of SIN is death. Divorce and remarriage is not the lords will. Jesus, god and the apostles taught clearly.. any woman who divorces and remarries commits adultery. Adultery is an abomination and it defiles the sacred covenent. Corinthians teaches --do not be decieved, adulterers will NOT inherit the kingdom of god. Many scriptures suppor this. They may be in the churches, but it is not the hearers that are righteous, it is those that OBEY god.

Lee Yes, also Luke16:18 and Mark10:12
Jesus teaches any woman who divorces her husband and remarries commits adultery. The man who marries this woman also commits adultery. They are not christians, simply because they do not live according to the teachings of christ OR god.

1. The bible states that remarriage is adultery, but for one cause. The intent is to live a life in christ and to please god over man or self.

2. Repentence means a new life, and one is to follow the teachings of christ. Any woman who divorces must remain single or reconcile, if not she chooses adultery.

3. No- in ALL cases any woman who divorces and remarries commits adultery.

4.False prophets.

Yes the do. According to the word of god - any woman who divorces her husband and remarries another man commits adultery. Adultery leads to spiritual death (also for the man who lays with her - book of proverbs) and adulterers will NOT inherit the kingdom. ..this means they are NOT christians - simply because they do not live by or believe the words of christ- our savior. The same goes for any man who divorces AND remarries but for the cause of his wifes infidelity... . God talks of these individuals as weeds, blemishes, whitewashed tombs. We are to keep ourselves pure and not touch any unclean thing.

Engaged To Maybe Christian

Many people think they are saved, but live deceived and in darkness. They worship the world, deny god and abide in mans immoral ways. These people honor god with the lips, pray for others to see, attend church- but the heart is far away. Prayer is central to our life, he should want to talk about god and pray with you. I would think twice if I were you, marriage is for life. And as a christian women, you can not divorce and remarry (under any circumstance)to another man - lest you become an adulteress - the opposite of a woman of god. Be wise, and pray for gods will for your life. This is one of the most important decisions of your life.

Mary,

Your husband broke the vow he made to you and GOD. He should carry this burden, not you. The consequence to his wickedness was your pain, suffering and grief. Jesus is here to carry this burden, and he is close to the pure in heart. Sadly, pain and suffering is often a reflection of those who encounter the spiritually sick. Those who do not obey Christ, will earn the wages of sin and that is death. Jesus is here to lift you and deliver you from this pain and suffering, trust in him with all of everything you have and god will fill your heart with his love. True life is in Christ, the rest is just deception. And, any man that divorces his wife, but for the cause of infidelity and remarries commits adultery. Gods message is given.

For anyone one who has ever read the bible, the answer is YES.

Jesus taught, ANY WOMAN WHO DIVORCES her husband AND REMARRIES another man COMMITS ADULTERY. The answer is absolutely yes, god taught it, jesus taught it and the apostles. Check the book of proverbs, the adulteress is the opposite of a woman of god. Proverbs says she is so bad, that her mouth is a pit, and her feet lead to the grave. In fact, she destroys a mans spiritual soul. You can not be a christian, and live in adultery. You serve ONLY one master.

Christians Remarry After Divorce

Renee, Only the man can divorce his wife and remarry - and christ specifies this in cause of infidelity. That clause was clearly not the case for women. Women of god are called to remain single after divorce and dedicated to god, instructed not to remarry. No acceptions were given by christ or the apostles. Any women who divorces her husband and remarries commits adultery.

1 Corinthians 7:10-12 A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband

Romans 7:3 So then, if she marries another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress.

Mark 10:12 12And if she divorces her husband and marries another man, she commits adultery."

Is Remarriage Adultery

Jesus came so that the law of moses was done away with. The concept (dead to sin =alive in christ)is not law but grace to free us from bondage to sin. And, DIVORCE AND REMARRIAGE is one of those that REAL christians die to - JESUS gives definition as "ADULTERY".

We are dead to sin.

Romans 6 1Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2By no means! We died to sin, how can we live in it any longer? 3Or don't you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? ..that we should no longer be slaves to sin 7because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

Romans 2:13 it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey...
