How To Be Saved

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved."
Saved from sin and its consequences- not that you will be sinless in this life but you will be accepted in Christ, in the eyes of God as if you were, and therefore will not be subject to the punishment due to your sin. The promises of God will be yours e.g. ALL things work together for good to those who love God - no matter what troubles come your way in this life you can have confidence that God is with you in the troubles and you have no need to be afraid...read Psalm 46, read Psalm 23...when death comes you will not walk through it alone.

How To Repent For Your Sins

Daily. There's NO perfection here. People who think they no longer sin are deluded. A Holy God demands perfection. None can reach it. A Saviour was needed and came...the perfect one to save sinners who couldn't save or keep themselves. Sin isn't just major infractions of God's demands. Paul said, of himself, " Oh wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." He also said,"When I would do good, evil is present with me."He knew himself - a sinner saved by grace.

Grace Demands Greater Law

Grace is unmerited and free. Romans 3: By the works of the law no flesh can be justified in His sight...for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But where grace is, there will be fruits: If Ye love me, keep my commandments.Faith, without works, is dead.
Show me thy faith by thy works etc. When the Saviour spoke to the rich man who asked what he could do to inherit eternal life, he was dealt with as an individual where it hurt, told to sell all his possessions, give the money to the poor and follow Christ...he left, sorrowfully, because he wasn't willing to give up what Christ demanded of him, personally. Grace is free, but the gifter will make demands
on the individual Christian in individual ways.

Scripture interprets Scripture. Metaphorical language is often used e.g. in Psalm 89, where mention is made of a covenant between the Lord and David and the family of David. The Lord warns that if they forsake his laws He will,
"visit their transgression with the rod and their iniquity with stripes," which obviously does not mean that the Lord will do these things in a literal way with a piece of wood resulting in physical wounds to the bodies of erring individuals. The reference is to the fact that sin will not go unpunished and the Lord will decide what method of discipline He will use. One of the 'rods' used on David himself was the death of the child conceived by Bathsheba.

Who is Jessie Duplantis?

There is power in the name of Jesus. Whosoever preaches that Jesus is saviour and Lord cannot go far wrong. Even those, that some people brand as false preachers. Jesse Duplantis has led some to the Lord, I have met brothers and sisters that came to know Jesus because of Jesse Duplantis, You cannot introduce a person to another unless of course you first know that person yourself!!. So lets say thank you to the Lord for Jesse rather than talk un kindly about him. God created a sense of humour, God has also got a sense of humour . Yes the Gospel is a serious business but we can have a smile with God as well as be saved by him. Jesse teaches Jesus as the risen Son of God. We dont have to like Jesses but Jesus did command that we love him.
