Zech 14:9 "And the LORD shall be king over all the EARTH: A King isn't a King without a Kingdom.
Acts 1:6 "..they asked of him, saying, `Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?'" Jesus talked to them of a future Kingdom (Acts 1:3)
So their thinking on the Kingdom is valid.
Matt 19:27 "..Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee, what shall we have therefore?'"
Matt 19:28 "And Jesus said unto them, `Verily I say unto you, that ye which have followed me (the twelve, excluding Judas), in the regeneration when the Son of Man shall sit in the throne of his glory (His Kingdom), ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.'"

Acts 2:22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words, (+ gentiles NO)
Acts 2:41 "Then they that gladly received his word were
Same as the Baptist did did. Repent and baptize them. Same thing here. A furtherance of John's message. But now the Cross work is finished
Acts 2:42 "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles doctrine..." What apostles? The 12. still unlawful to speak to gentiles.
Peter told Cornelius it's unlawful for me to speak to you.

Acts 1:6 "... they asked of him, saying, `Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?'"
We run into so much confusion in the Scriptures because people don't read. Take time to read what it says. When did Israel have a Kingdom they were proud of? King David's and Solomon's.
Many can't accept this projected Kingdom and ridicule it through ignorance.

Pentecostal Church Our Model
The spirit-filled fervency and single mindedness of the disciples at Pentecost should be understood that they were supernaturally caused to live in such a manner by the contract of the New Covenant (Ezekiel 36:24-27)
Overnight these followers of the Messiah were transformed through the new spirit and new heart placed within them to perform as those worthy of entering the kingdom.
As this natural result was expected from every true participant of the New Covenant law, there were consequences for those who didn't produce such fruit. Heb 6:4-6)

Pentecostal Church Our Model
Some would like the supernatural power manifested to the Jewish believers in Acts 2. While there seems to be nothing wrong with a desire to know God and experience his life-changing love, following the wrong example can lead to doctrinal error and false emotionalism.
The empowerment of Pentecost was a prophesied result of the institution of the New Covenant made with Israel

Pentecostal Church Our Model
Acts 2 can be confusing for Bible students who do not rightly divide. When we rightly divide, the supernatural events at Pentecost become a clear fulfillment of Gods prophetic purpose to Israel.
The prophetic foretelling and purpose of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit tells us what was happening in Acts 2 WASN'T
A random supernatural response to extreme faith
The beginning of the church the BoC
Something that can be repeated in this dispensation

Pentecostal Church Our Model
First, it's necessary to point out that an established group was already waiting in Jerusalem at Pentecost for the next step in their desire to enter the kingdom of God. Acts 2:41 states that on the day of the Spirit-filled preaching by Peter there were ADDED UNTO THEM about three thousand souls. Therefore, Acts 2 doesn't describe the origin of a church, but simply the addition to an existing group that consisted of at least one hundred and twenty (Acts 1:15).

How Did Cain Find A Wife
Since all people are descended from Adam and Eve, Cain's wife had to be a near relative, a sister, or a niece, the daughter of one of his siblings. We know from Gen 5:4 Adam and Eve had daughters too, not just sons, "And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters ...." We must also realize that Cain lived about 2500 years before God gave Israel the dispensation of the law of Moses, which prohibited the marrying of near relatives (Lev 18:6-16). So at that time, it was not a sin. For another example, Gen 20:12, Abraham explains that his wife Sarah was also his half sister.

Predestined As A Son Of God
Romans 8:29 If the idea is, God has already predetermined we are supposed to go to Heaven, we'll get there. If we are predestined to go to Hell, it's settled
But it doesn't say heaven or hell. What it says is Whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be (a position which in this case is being) conformed to the image of his Son
That's a position that God has reserved for every individual believer. Compare Ephes. 1:4,5

Pentecostal Church Our Model
When we rightly divide, the events at Pentecost become a fulfillment of Gods prophetic purpose to Israel. The prophetic foretelling and purpose of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit indicates that what was happening in Acts 2 wasn't a random supernatural response to extreme faith
wasn't the beginning of the church the BoC, and wasn't something that can be repeated in this dispensation.

Keep The Sabbath Holy
The mystery of Christ explains how in this dispensation our righteousness and holiness comes from Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone. It does not come from observance of holy Sabbath days.
Our position in Christ makes us holy, without Christ we are nothing (Eph 2:21). Only in Christ are we accepted by God (Col 3:12, Eph 1:6).

Pentecostal Church Our Model
In order to believe the Pentecostal church of Acts 2 is our model today, one must understand exactly happened the day of Pentecost

Living In The End Times

We are not living in the times of prophecy, but in a mystery dispensation. Therefore, we are not living in the end times.
We operate according to the mystery of Christ, doing our ministry as ambassadors and waiting for the mystery coming of the Lord to remove the church so that he can fulfill his prophecy and promises with Israel.
These are not the prophetic last days for us. Every day is a new day of opportunity to be Gods grace ambassadors in a world that has rejected him. For the sake of ministering the gospel, we should hope there are a million more days.
Our hope is in his appearing sometime in the future, unknown to us (Titus 2:13). Til then, we have work to do.

Want More From God
David, just wondering, has all this criticizing helped you in your Christian walk?

Believe In The Gospel
Sounds like God died and left His Knowledge to just a few

Believe In The Gospel
Citing James 2:14-26, Some
try to justify a performance-based evaluation of true faith today in the dispensation of grace. Yet, they rob people of the benefits the righteousness of God which only comes freely by faith in Christ (Romans 3:22-24, 5:2).

In order for a faith to be dead in this dispensation, the substance of their faith must be inactive. That is, if our faith is in Jesus Christs work on the cross, then a dead faith would be like preaching a dead Jesus who could not perform that which he promised (Romans 4:19-21).

Believe In The Gospel
Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. Rom 3:30
Why is it by for the circumcision and through for the uncircumcision? Some know there is a difference.

But before faith came, we were kept under the law Gal 3:23
Under the law dispensation, righteousness came through obedience to Israels covenants.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them. Rom 10:5
Yet, even Israel, who was instructed by God from the law, couldn't keep the law. Both Jew and Gentile were under sin.

As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one Rom 3:10

Believe In The Gospel
Gods Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace Alone. Faith Alone.

Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ. Our best efforts can never be good enough to earn salvation, but God declares us righteous for Christs sake. We receive that grace through faith alone. God even gives us the faith that trusts him. We are not saved by obeying a list of dos and donts, but by grace through faith in Christ. Our salvation is in Gods hands. Thats Good News: the Gospel.

Believe In The Gospel
Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen US in him BEFORE the foundation of the world, that WE should be holy and without blame before him in love:
To say I understand it, I don't, and you don't either. I leave it in the hands of God, because this is what the Word says. You exercised your free will when you responded to the Gospel. But on the other hand God could honestly say, "I chose you before anything was ever created."

Believe In The Gospel
Ephes.1:4 says you were chosen before the foundation of the world. You can debate as what you think it says, but that doesn't change what it actually says. Accept it by faith and go on.
