Who Was Jesus
NO! Jesus was NOT an atheist, He believed in the one true GOD, YHWH or Jehovah, and He knew that any other god was nothing more than a demon deceiving the people. Catholicu, IF you will read through the Holy Bible, you will find NO WHERE in there where the reality of God's existence is "proven, it is merely stated as fact.

Will Jesus Take Me Back
Just a quick point for you to ponder. During the time that you "sinned recklessly," did you feel any remorse for what you were doing, and did you feel God's hand of discipline on you while you were in that condition? If you answer NO to these questions, then you probably weren't "saved" to start with. The good news is that if you will repent now and ask God to forgive you it will be done. God will NOT allow His children to continue unrebuked and undisciplined in sin.

Salvation Taken Back
If this were true, then, Jesus LIED when He said "All who come to me I will in NO WISE cast out." Wouldn't it be "casting out" to take away a gift that was freely given? Jesus came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. If we can't be sure of our security, how can we experience abundant life? To feel secure in God's love doesn't give us permission to go and live any way we want to, but it frees us to go and enjoy the fulness of life through Jesus Christ.

Why Should We Attend Church
Some people wish to have a truly personal and intimate relationship and give Jesus THEIR HEART. They do not "go to" church (Jesus's body), they LIVE IN the outer temple (Jesus's body, John 2:19).
---more_excellent_way on 10/14/11
Your comments all sound so "spiritual" on this subject, and I'm not trying to start a "fight" here, BUT, what do you do with Hebrews 10:25 which is a commandment from Paul through inspiration of the Holy Spirit that we "forsake not the assembling of ourselves together?" If people allow themselves to be "indoctrinated" it's their fault for not studying the Scriptures.

Where Is Heaven

Did you intend on phrasing this in the way you did?\\

Not the first time I've used it, either.

Glory to Jesus Christ!
---Cluny on 9/3/11
Cluny, I am a Southern Baptist, AND SAVED! Not because I am Baptist, but, because I believe what the Lord Jesus Christ taught about Himself and salvation. Christianity is not about ANY denomination, but, ALL about Jesus Christ.

Can God Break A Promise
To everyone here who likes to use up discussion space to argue with each other, do your arguing in private e-mails and leave the 75 post limit open to those who have something constructive to add. God cannot break ANY of His promises because to do so would make Him a liar.

Enoch Walked With God
HE WAS NOT RAPTURED, rapture is a latin translation of the word harpazo har-pad'-zo
to seize (in various applications):--catch
(away, up), pluck, pull, take (by force).

That's EXACTLY what the passage in question says happened to Enoch. God "took" him away to be with Him in Heaven. Elijah also was taken in a chariot of fire.

Why Should Pastors Get Paid
Sunday school teachers and Christians witnessing to others don't spend ALL their time studying the Word and preparing sermons. Scripture teaches that a pastor is worthy of his "hire." Even full-time pastors need finaces to live on and support their family. The laws set forth for the temple give credance to the support of the workers in the temple or the house of God.

Jesus Delays Second Coming
Jesus doesn't "delay His coming." God the Father set an appointed time for the fulfillment of all things and that time will be followed by all creation. Jesus Christ the Son will come back when God's "calendar" says it is time.

Ultimage Aim Of A Christian
The ultimate goal of a Christian is to glorify God and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone we meet. Our whole life should be submitted and dedicated to this simple goal.

Is Wife In Heaven
Nana, Again I say, your argument is invalid, unless this woman or ANY other person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour, they will NOT go to Heaven. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes unto the Father but by me. WE, ANY OF US can agree til we are blue in the face and we won't change that.

Give Jesus A Chance
This "sounds" good if you think Jesus needs a little help in the relevance department, or if you think He is a commodity that is being sold. What people really need to hear is that they are sinners and need a Saviour, period! EVERYONE will one day bow down and acknowledge Him as Lord and King, whether they want to or not.

What Makes Something Biblical
There are many things "in the Scriptures" that are not correct as far as Biblical teaching goes, i.e. polygamy, lying, murder, etc. Just because something is mentioned in the Scriptures does not make it right, nor does its exclusion make it improper. What matters most is "Does it agree with the teachings of the Scriptures?"

Tolerating Each Other In Marriage
You need to go back and read Scripture about marriage. There is NO PLACE for "just tolerating" marriage. The husband is to love his wife as Christ loved the church, and the woman is to be submitted( voluntarily) to the husband as unto the Lord. Repent and return.

Is Wife In Heaven
She is in heaven just because you and your girls love her so.
---Nana on 3/30/11

Not according to Scripture, Nana. The ONLY way anyone goes to heaven is through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. If she believed in Him and surrendered her life to His will and way, then she is in heaven, not because her husband and children loved her. Rob, I offer my condolences to you and your girls, rest in the promises of God in His word and you will make it through.

What Is A True Christian
The "true" meaning of being a Christian, to be Christ-like, having the mind of Christ and submitting to the will of God.

Today Is Memorial Day
Just remember that the Scriptures teach that if we don't forgive then we will not be forgiven. Unforgiveness indicates a problem with the person's heart. If you claim to be a Christian, then you should not harbor any feelings of unforgiveness in your heart.

What's Up May 2011
Scott, When are you going to Kenya? And where in Kenya are you going? I have a pastor friend(native Kenyan) who lives in Bungoma in the western portion of the country.

Is It Deeds Or Works
No, there is no difference. We are saved by Grace not works, BUT, saving Faith will produce good works! Many people think that Paul and James were at "odds" with their teachings, but, they really aren't saying anything contradictory. Paul said simply "We are saved by faith in Jesus Christ", and then James says yes, but, show me your works after your supposed salvation. If we say we have faith and do not the things Jesus Christ instructed us to do, we are deceived and still in need of salvation.

Loving A Married Man Wrong
"Born Again", Consider this! God will never lead a Christian into a relationship that is against His Laws, i.e., adultery. You are guilty of adultery , even in a spiritual sense if you dwell on the "feelings of love" you say you have for this man. As was already stated, He will probably be as true to you as he was/is to his current wife. I would strongly suggest that you forget about this man, confess your sin to God and then move on.
