Slain In The Spirit Biblical
Rob and the others that Eloy has addressed. Notice the . before your name and how your name has a small first letter rather than being capitalized. This is because Eloy believes that only his name and God's should be capitalized.

This is the kind of mind you are trying to rationalize with.

Not a chance.

Demonic Dreams At Night
Just because some people had dreams with meaning does not mean that all dreams have meaning.

That makes about as much sense as someone who happened to have purchased a winning lottery ticket insisting that all tickets are winners. (And no I don't buy lottery tickets this is just an illustration.)

The dreams were noted BECAUSE they had meaning that is instructive to us today. I am sure these people had lots of dreams that were not of any particular meaning.

Demonic Dreams At Night
Some people have dreams every night. Some rarely or never.

Some peoples dreams are brief and vague and some are extreemly detailed. Some people dream in color, some in black and white.

Some people have lucid dreaming during which they can direct the outcome of the dream.

There are nightmares that can be accredited to an upset digistive system as noted below. Before I fully wake up in the morning and my bladder is full and hurting I have the most foolish dreams. If I am just napping I dream brief little snippets of what ever. etc etc.

Confess My Affair To Husband
If it were him who cheated what would you want him to do? Answer that and you will have your answer.

Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them".

Consider what would happen down the road if he found out some other way. What then? Don't you think that would compound the feeling of betrayal? Are you prepared to face those consequences?

Is Scripture Alone Correct

I have a challenge for you. Look-up and study the Jewish "Mikva". I believe that to understand why Jesus was baptized, you need to understand the traditions of the Jewish Mikva. I believe it explains that what Jesus did to "fulfill all righteousness" was simply one more element in his keeping the laws and traditions of his Jewish faith.

Baptism was also a traditional initiatory rite of various groups both political and religious at the time of Christ. It is no surprise that it was chosen as a initiatory rite into the Body of Christ but as such it is not necessarily related to the baptism of Jesus.

How comforting to you it must be to know that "recent Popes were true followers of Christ and led the faithful in the right path".

What Is An Idle Word
This makes me think of this proverb:

He who thinks by the inch and speaks by the yard deserves to be kicked by the foot. Anon.

Forgiveness After Divorce
For someone who says they do not sin, you are on very thin ice with your statement about not forgiving your wife.

Matthew 6:14,15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not...neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Matthew 18:34,35 And his lord...delivered him to the tormentors.... So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.

Mark 11:25,26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father heaven may forgive you... But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

Practice Speaking In Tongues

1 Corinthians 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him, howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

And the point of this?

1 Corinthians 14:4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself, but he that prophesieth edifieth the church.

Was Jesus Born With A Sin Nature
Debbie Jo,

If original sin is tranmitted through the male, what would happen if/when a woman is is cloned? - no father involved. Would she (the clone) have a sin nature?

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

I am not talking about professing "Christians" who are unconverted and who are Christian in name only. I am talking about the born again Church of God. People who are going to Heaven by death or by rapture. SAVED people.

Are you saying that some of them do not have the Holy Spirit living in them?

If so, you must be able to reconcile that view with the scripture I cited below that explicitly states that if you are saved, you have the Holy Spirit living in you and if you do not have the Holy Spirit living in you, you are not saved.

How do you reconcile that truth with your opinion?

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit

Are you saying that there are Christians who do not have the Holy Spirit living in them?

How do you reconcile that with:
Romans 8:9, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his."

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
There is no "baptism of the Holy Spirit"

From John - Mark 1:8, "I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost."

From Jesus - Acts 1:5, "For John truly baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."

Could you please justify your statement in light of the testiomny of both John and Jesus?

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
I would like to clairfy that when I said that baptism means "immersion", I was not refering to water baptism in this context.

There are three baptisms in the NT.

Baptism in the body - by the Holy Spirit at conversion: 1 Corinthians 12:13, "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,"

Water baptism - by a man following conversion: Matthew 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them...:"

Baptism in the Holy Spirit - Acts 1:5, "For John truly baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence." (Remember this was spoken to men who had already been given the Holy Spirit to live in them- John 20:22)

Baptism Of The Holy Spirit
To these same people, he promised they would be baptized (immersed in) the Holy Ghost. Acts 1:5 Acts 1:5 "...but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence."

And he gave the specific reason for that baptism. Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me"

Yes, as Shawn noted, the Holy Spirit in us is "a seal of promise", He is a teacher of truth etc. But the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is not the same thing as the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
