Hello,
The whole idea was for the "church" to be equal and to be of the same mind. Giving food is great but it does not pay the mortgage or the rent!!
They are taught to give a tithe and that's it.
There is no help!
Granted I haven't called every single church, but I also found that there is no help for a disabled person to have her snow shoveled or yard work done!
There's always a prayer line, but I think God wants his people to help his people. James 2:14-6 There's all this talk about prosperity which convinces people that they need or deserved riches, and they forget their poor brethren.
