It is a fair statement, however, name Jesse's "authentic miracles".
..."error-filled, judgmental statements about a Holy Spirit-anointed man of God." Didn't you technically violate your own treatise as you wrote it. Matthew 7:1-5 and Luke 6:41-42 deal with hypocrisy and censoriousness. 1Corinthians 2:15, 5:3, 11-13, 6:4, 11:31 instruct us to judge. In 1Chronicles 16:22 & Psalms 105:15, touch means to strike, or kill.
Matthew 7:15-27, Luke 13:24-30. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
---Glenn on 4/22/09

This is a very unfair statement about an evangelist of the Word of God whose life over the last 50 years has numerous authentic miracles from God to prove he loves Jesus first and foremost. Just read his sermons online or in the Covenant, published each month from the offices in New Orleans. After hurricane Katrina, he partnered with Rev.John Hagee to continue ministering for many months to all who could come for free meals, clothing and lodging in the area. Check out these and many more activities before continuing to make error-filled, judgmental statements about a Holy Spirit-annointed man of God.

Jesse Duplantis: He teaches much error. Jesse keeps saying that he has had many visits from Jesus, and has gone to Heaven. His description, both of the Lord and Paradise, contradict the Bible. Jesse diminishes God and elevates man, a Genesis 3:1-6 error. Often, Jesse shares the stage with apostates, but dogs run in a pack. He has the same unteachable rebellious way as most of the Word of Faith and Dominionist crowd. He also seems to miss Roman Catholicism, and uses a lot of its' doctrine. Jesse is humorous though, and this makes the poison go down easier. Jeremiah 2:12-13, Mathew 7:15, 15:14, Romans 12:16, 2Timothy 4:3-4, 2John 1:9-11 / 1Timothy 6:3-4 > Ezequiel 34:1-10, John 10:15-14, the Nicene creed.

He is a Christian preacher who is broadcasted on television. When he preaches he is gifted with humor which can lead his congregation to laugh- "louisana crawdaddies" comes to mind when I think of him. His ministry promotes Biblical teachings.
---Eloy on 4/21/09

I don't know much about Jesse Duplantis and certainly not enough to judge him. I will leave that to the Lord.
I do know he is a charistmatic preacher who uses homilies in his appearances and does rely a lot on attempts at humor.
I've never heard him say anything I would consider false and I believe most of those who don't care for Jesse object to his kind of flippant "I don't care what you think" style mentioned earlier.
Some bretheren favor a more subdued or reverent approach.
---larry on 4/21/09

Oh Lord help me, but jealousy should not speak. Who is anyone to judge Jesse for what God blesses him with? You want to question God?? You are foolish.God judges man flesh should let God be God.Since when is humor a sin? Humor reaches people on a level that makes them want to be a christian. So if you want to attend church where you can hear a pin drop and you walk on egg shells fine, but leave Jesse alone,He loves God and makes no bones about it.Jesus performed miracles, each one different, but the people were still healed! So God calls different types of preachers to the ministry to get the Word out.Quit judgin! God bless Jesse for his humor!
---Mandy on 4/21/09

we all have carnal thought's & actions! When ever someone talks-teaches with athority, even when the fruits of the Holy Spirit are there..,someone has got to be holyer than thow and faltfind !Really sad !
---Dickie on 2/6/09

Mandi, the people you have mention have been proven time and time again to be FALSE TEACHERS.

God is true and Satan is a lier.

You say they do an excellent job, but it is not for God but for Satan.
---Rob on 12/26/08

***It seems what I see on the web, when someone is doing Gods work they seem to be persecuted - and the Bible says that when you are persecuted you should rejoice, so the way I see it, these people of God are doing a really awesome job, and Satan doesn't like it. Keep it up guys - you are doing awesome work for our Lord and saviour.
---Mandi on 12/26/08**

I know everyone wants to claim they are the Persecuted ones. If we believe that, EVERYONE is telling the truth then?

Are we REALLY persecuted for being funny, or preaching a luke warm feel good humanism sermon?

To see through this distorted mess, we need discernment. Even the Mormons, Jw's , Scientologists, etc claim THEY are the Truth because THEY are persecuted.
---kathr4453 on 12/26/08

I want to say - i think Jesse Duplantis is excellent - when God made humour - he made Jesse. The other evangelists who also get attacked are Joyce Meyer, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Joel Osteen... It seems what I see on the web, when someone is doing Gods work they seem to be persecuted - and the Bible says that when you are persecuted you should rejoice, so the way I see it, these people of God are doing a really awesome job, and Satan doesn't like it. Keep it up guys - you are doing awesome work for our Lord and saviour.
---Mandi on 12/26/08

There is power in the name of Jesus. Whosoever preaches that Jesus is saviour and Lord cannot go far wrong. Even those, that some people brand as false preachers. Jesse Duplantis has led some to the Lord, I have met brothers and sisters that came to know Jesus because of Jesse Duplantis, You cannot introduce a person to another unless of course you first know that person yourself!!. So lets say thank you to the Lord for Jesse rather than talk un kindly about him. God created a sense of humour, God has also got a sense of humour . Yes the Gospel is a serious business but we can have a smile with God as well as be saved by him. Jesse teaches Jesus as the risen Son of God. We dont have to like Jesses but Jesus did command that we love him.
---Lil on 12/24/08

Jesse Duplantis has been exposed time and time again to be a FALSE TEACHER along with the others of the Word of Faith Movement, 2 Corinthians 11:13-15, and 2 Peter Chapter Two.

Too many people do not know this because they do not follow the command which is found in 2 Timothy 2:14-19 and people do not follow the example found in Acts 17:11.

These are the very people FALSE TEACHERS prey on because FALSE TEACHERS know these people can be easily exploited.
---Rob on 11/15/08

Jesse Duplantis is of cource from God, just like any other preacher you might hear. Not saying that the enemy doesnt have some servant out there, but: COME ON!
We have - how much? - maybe 3 to 5 percent of Gods fullness, and we argue wether this or that can be of God... Would you really accept Him if He came today? I think many wouldnt. Because He will not keep tradition: (as little God as possible or just about and still get away with it before men. God has given His Word and will never back from it.) Jesus says: " Any bad word will be judged on the last day." Isnt there 2 voices before God, wich He hears day and night? You pray for and speak well or you accuse and talk bad. Thanks in the name of the Lord.
---Ingemar on 11/14/08

I just dislike his approach towards his delivery of the gospel and his attitude as if he has risen and had authority to preach as he sees fit, ''I don't care how others see me I've made it n seen Jesus it don't matter what the bible say's about joking a preach it any old how.''
---Carla5754 on 5/25/08

Re: Jesse Duplantis. I never watch him because I don't believe we should consider a sermon as a comedy. God is SERIOUS and sermons should not be stand up comedy! Of course, he isn't the only preacher Idon't watch. Sometimes, preachers mimic each other and teach the same thing. However, we must be careful in judging anyone who handles the word.
---danelle on 5/24/08

You know it is up to God to judge whether or not Jesse Duplatis and all other tele evangelist, all... if they truly have done the work of the Lord or have misused money given to the ministries for their personal uses. I believe God can bless people. People, we can NEVER out give God. Eph 3:16 "according to his riches in glory" Let God be the judge, we should give according to our heart, we give to God not man. God will honor a loving heart.

Oh yes, keep supporting Jessie to be able to fill up his private jet with fuel and to maintain his luxurious life courtesy of Christ.

Some of you are so blind and silly and don't see this guy as a typical "religious" business man who's ripping you off.

Dear friend in Christ:

For some time Jesus said he would make me the most gorgeous on earth.
What could that mean? this would be considered an absolute miracle from God. I am sure I am on the right track but this blessing is way beyond me.

I begged for help from Jessie I was a partner for years. Once for my dieing sister to fix her motorcycle so she could ride just one more time before she died of lung cancer and once for my son who was accused unjustly. Jessie says he Helps people he didn't help us so I stoped helping him. False? That in the Bible is by what they do He didn't help us. So I would not recamend him.

Strangely enough, even with his humor, Jesse has led many to the Lord and been in conversations with people most church folks wouldn't touch, much less imagine touching. Being an enemy of the cross of Christ includes judging others and being highly critical of anyone that doesn't look or act just like you.

This is in response said to what David said about me regarding Jessie Duplantis.
I have no idea where David got his information. It wasn't from me. I never confronted Jessie over anything regarding his vision and never asked him not to use his story. I have not spoken in any length with Jessie in a few years so David did not get his information from me.

I have heard this man before, that was when i was deceived! one day Jesse will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and be accountable for every penny he spent and every word he taught! I fear for him and hope that he repents before its too late.

2Cor. 12:2-4 Skeptics, please read this. Jesse is a man of God who uses the talent God has given him to bring people to Jesus. Everyone who judges him or anyone else here, please be careful for as you judge, so you will be judged. If you judge him as false and He is annointed by God, you will be judged as false. Lighten up! Jesse's fun reaches people when nothing else can. 1990 I had rheumatoid arthritus, was bitter with God for 20 years. A friend dragged me to see Jessie. For the first time i heard about the Joy of Jesus. I went forward for healing as a skeptic only ot please my husband. Was determined not to respond, but i went down anyway. my arthritus was healed. ask me more. because of him i returned to Christ and my life as a Christian has been filled with hope ever since. I thank God for Jesse's humor.

The Word tells us that if a person testifies that Jesus Christ was hung on the cross and rose, they are of God. I pray everyday for the kind of fervor Jessie Duplantis has every time I see him. I pray for Helen and ask that God will prick her heart and she will allow the Holy Spirit to show her a touch of what Jessie has. When a person has that much of the Holy Spirit in their life, jumping up and down and shouting with joy comes naturally. Otherwise, you would explode. Love my Christ, Ms Nette

Jesse Duplantis's brother used to work with me on the Mississippi River as a pilot. Of course the family background is Cajun. And the whole family are fascinating characters. Have had many many religious discussions with his brother and they are basically Bapticostal(if you understand that word) people. I always enjoyed the Duplantis.
---Mima on 3/12/07

I believe Jesse and there is nothing wrong with that. Some say his stories are false, Here is what I think. Is the homeless guy really homeless on the street you see, who knows, but if you believe him and give him money. God will see the good deed you did and reward you, what that guy does with the money is on him and God will deal with him not us. Believing someone is not wrong, as long as that person makes you feel good and want to give your life to Jesus. Jesse does just that!!! I believe every word!
---Tammy on 3/12/07

I love Jesse, and he is a cutie pie, I'll tell Kathie any day, But she probably knows it. I wish I could have a personality like Jessy. He is a Great, and Fantabulous, Preacher, he is strongly anointed, and yes he is also another guy who has encountered Jesus, being caught up in body, soul, mind, and spirit. ---Steve on 2/20/07

Well Helen I am offended by you! Don't sit in judgement of me woman. How dare you judge me and say I have left Jesus and HIS cross! HE is my all in all. If Jesus was like us in every way but sin, then its not a leap to presume HE had a sense of humour. Jesse throws a story in now and then, but usually at his own expense. He would never make a joke of God! 'The man' draws people to Christ, not to himself. YOU don't know anyone's heart. Judge not, me or anyone else, you will pay the price! Enough said!

2/... I'm offended by Jesse when he starts with Scripture, then makes people laugh the rest of the time he's on air. That is not the gospel of the Cross of Christ. I do not mean that humour should never happen from the pulpit, no. Sometimes something very funny will come up and that is ok. But to do it all the time is wrong. You are either preaching the gospel, or you are being a comedian. Jesse is a comedian, and a very funny one, but he does not preach Christ crucified. (continued...)
---Helen_5378 on 2/20/07

NVBarbara - If people are being drawn to man, then it is a false gospel. If people are being drawn to the Cross of Christ and that alone, then the message is of God. Tell me where in the Bible did Jesus get up and preach to the crowds and throw some funnies in with it? You won't find it. Jesse Duplantis is part of the Apostate Church. If you cannot see it, then you have left the Cross, which in effect means you have left Jesus. The salvation of the human soul is a serious matter. (continued...)
---Helen_5378 on 2/20/07

Oh Helen I love ya' but don't be such a 'drama queen.' Often humour gets people to pay more attention to the more serious points. I've been to a retreat where Jesse spoke and he is a fine man and a fine teacher, with a few giggles thrown in. Just seeing his big beautiful smile makes me smile.

I think that Jesse Duplantis is a gifted man. I don't know of anywhere in the bible that it says "No jokes in the church" If it gets people in the church to hear the word of God, then that is a good first step. If you can get them saved on the first visit. That is wonderful. Glory to God!
---Mike on 2/19/07

Just how far has the church fallen when a preacher gets up in the pulpit and does a so-called sermon that cracks everybody up laughing. While this is happening, the world is dying and going to Hell.
---Helen_5378 on 2/16/07

He often makes off the cuff jokes and language of a unsanctified nature. There are many funny passages in the bible especially when some of the speakers have to use words that we do not use as christian's, and some preachers try their best to pronounce some of the words articulately to take away the stigma of the swear words used today, making a joke of practically every sermon makes the Gospel sounds wrong. There are time's for jesting somehow the church is not a stage for comedians.

Jean, I haven't study about whether, Jesus [laughed here on Earth]. I am sure He must have. But I know He laughs now, With we a whole lot. If Jesus didn't make me laugh, I don't know if I would laugh at all. Plus, The Bible says, "That God sits in heaven and laughs at His enemies."

Helen5378, I have listened to many of Jesse's teachings. He does not tell jokes. He tells REAL LIFE stories that have happened to him that are funny and related to God. How can you judge such an anointed man of God?
You worry me with your critical judgements on God's anointed. I love you dearly. I have a heart for you, but you really shouldn't be so critical of God's anointed man. I know Jesse is anointed by God. No one can cast a demon out of a person on an airplane UNLESS God tells him to.

Carolyn: "Judge not....lest thy be judged....Be carefull......Jesus is Coming soon" I have a suggestion, Carolyn, read the Bible about judging one another.

As for Duplantis, anytime a preacher says he went to heaven to meet Jesus and Jesus asked him to make him laugh, there there is something wrong, right? Anyone can take a few verses out of the Bible and build a "church" from it.

Jesse Duplantis is a very very funny man. However, nowhere in the Bible does it say to get up in a pulpit and tell jokes. There is a place for comedy and it is not in the church, it is in the clubs etc. He also preaches the false Word of Faith and prosperity doctrines. Wolf.

Theatrics..Music..There is a place for all types. He is not a false teacher. He reaches people for GOD others can't or wouldn't try - from what I've read here. Faith and prosperity are not false teachings - only misquoted and misunderstood by most who aren't experiencing it in their own lives the way they expect God to operate. The fruit of a genuine minister is not the number of miracles, converts or even the amount he gives to the needy. It is a fruit expected of all men - the dialy inner/outer life of righteouness and oneness with the Lord. No amount of miracles or size of ministry should relegate this to the background.
