I pray that Pat Robertson and his family and ministry have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Robertson owns several thoroughbreds and recently purchased a horse he named Mr. Pat, which he had hoped would some day race in the Kentucky Derby. Robertson now says he will disband his racing stable by November.

Are there any TV evangelists that are not super rich or at least aspiring to become so? This is a shame to say the least. When Jesus sent the apostles out, they were not to take anything with them and depend on what was supplied to them while on their journey. They were not rich men by any stretch. This business of super rich preachers just doesn't seem scriptural to me.

Carlton. Pearson? If so, there's a blog here that you might want to take a look at.

I have been watching 700 club for over 10 years and feel Pat Robertson is a true man of God!
---Carlton on 8/1/07

Pat Robertson is dangerious. He, as a darling of the religious right has openly declared that he wants a Christian theocracy. I note the Republicans have mostly ousted the religious right, the Ralph Reed's are long gone. Robertson has said too many goofy things to be taken seriously, rebuking hurricanes, consigning cities to hell for not teaching Creationism etc. Time to put the old goose-stepper out to pasture.
---MikeM on 7/27/07

He is a wonderful teacher. The fact that when he ran for president he won the first two or three primaries gave important leverage for the Christian vote and was pivital in the Republican party prolife platform.
---Andrea on 7/27/07

I actually think Pat Robertson comes up with some good ideas. He is not a single issue evangelist like Falwell was. However, when he says people have broken limbs, hear him on television, and then jump up and down on their legs it gives one pause. Also, he writes of gaining wealth through different principles without mentioning he was born into one of the richest families. Hard for him to really be one of the poor when he is one of the richest.

A check of Pat Robertson under wikipedia gives information on a man who was a senators son and is related to Churchill. He literally could not lose economically unless disowned by his father. You would have to wonder if he has any real idea of the lives of the working class or poor or would be like Bush and think it is good someone works three jobs.

Read his autobiography "Shout It From The Housetops"!

I must say that I was disturbed when I heard that Pat Robertson said that the Bible has errors in It,because It came through man? I hope this isn't true, but the person gave the program date info, etc.aired on the700club.Also, Pat has given several prophecies that didn't come to past, that bothers me quite a bit, all of God's prophecies come to past!Jesus said you will know them by their fruit. If he did do these things he has to make it right with God,just like anyone else would have to do.
---Mrs._Morgan on 7/31/06

This Robertson is too much. I think in 2006 he will lose most his following. His utterances are becoming more bizarre all the time. Even the conservative White House is distancing itself from him. Its about time responsable religious leaders do so as well.
---SLCGuy on 1/15/06

I do not mind the 700club, however Pat Robbenson with some of his sayings on t.v., I am very weary of, saying like back in Aug about better to have that person gone (don't remembr whom it was) btu when you speak of taknig out someone you are not of God, his actions latly are showing that it is more with politics & tv media then of the lord. Now his son is fine, to me,so far, maybe Pat ought to retire.

Since my conversion 10 years ago, I've never understood why real Christian leaders haven't tried to publicly distance themselves from the dark voice of Pat Robertson.. What are they afraid of?

Time and time again, Pat Robertson portrays himself as the voice of God to the embarrassment and detriment of the Church and to so many in the dark who may otherwise be seeking salvation. Does he really bare the fruit of a holy man?

Romans 16:18 - For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Pat Robertson preaches sugar-coated hate. It makes me sad when people associate Christianity with the likes of Pat. He's part of the reason that so many people have a negative opinion of us.
---Brian on 1/11/06

I love what Pat Robertson has done with what gave him. He is not perfect, if he was he would be Jesus himself, but he's pressing forward. Pat uses his talents to God's glory!

All I know is that Pat has worked very hard for God and he still is today. Only the Lord can give someone his age the strength to carry on.

Elsie said it best. Pat is ok with me. I consider him a brother and a good servant of God. Those without sin should throw the first stone.
---John on 12/6/05

I have no right to condem Pat Robertson, he is still a man of God and a better man than me. He has done and still is doing much for the Kingdom of God. At least Pat wears his heart on his sleeve. With a lot of others, you don't know where they are coming from. Pat get's the thumbs up from me. May God bless him!
---David on 12/6/05

I believe Pat Robertson to be a man of God. He has tried to remain obedient to what God has led him to do and has a thriving ministry as a result of his faithfulness. However he is a fellow human being and can stumble with the best of us. Have we forgiven our Christian brother yet? We ARE commanded to do that!!

God gets the glory for Pat and the ministry He works at so hard for. His 700 club has helped me many times through the years. I like the fact that you can call toll free for prayer at anytime, day or night and talk and pray with a real person in the Lord! Pat Robertson has done a lot of good over the years and I thank God for him!
---Ellie on 12/5/05

I may be young, but I appreciate Pat Robertson and his ministry. I've been blessed by CBN and they have helped to prepare me for the mission field. I pray for Pat and the people that sacrifice their lives for the advancement of the Gospel. We only are allowed so much time and there is still much work to be done. This is what we should be thinking on.
---JR on 12/5/05

I made it clear 3 times, I judge ones politics, not their personal lives. When one goes into the public arena, politics, they open themselves to critical review. More folks in Germany 1931, or more to the point in Iran in 1979 more should have been critical about emerging leaders, secular or, as in Iran religious. Too many must have said, "oh we can't judge their actions, God will!" Baaa Baaa Baaa.
---len_k on 12/5/05

Pat Robertson is a man.. Only God knows his heart and whether he is of God or of the Kingdomm of darkness.
God gives us choices....We can choose to listen to his ministry or to clearly ignore it. The jewish leaders of the day spent time arguing whether Jesus ministry was real or of the devil. There is one thing i say.. At the end of life God will judge us on our stweradship here on Earth.
Those who are false will be judged.

I praise God for Pat Robertson and his ministry! He has been an inspiration to our family for years. The 700 Club has branched out to all over the world and they have not only helped a lot of poverty stricken areas but have brought a lot of souls into the Kingdom of God! His reward will be great!
---Theona on 12/5/05

Mr Robertsons politics are too much. Him claiming God would curse a town due to the school board voted down I.D. was fodder for the media.

I have no issue with his personal life, or his church life. I can remember Sg. Friday in Dragnet saying, "Just the facts mam." That is what is relevant. This is another argument for church/state seperation.

Pat Robertson has been serving God for a long time and I will stand up for this man. He's the real deal!

Pat Robertson's ministry paid our utility bill once and they didn't even know me at the time. I have nothing but good to say about him, and that's the truth, praise the Lord!

For those of us who consider credibility to be of more value than animated rhetoric, consider this;
-P. Robertson has stated that America should be a theocracy.
-P. Robertson has stated the founders were 'saved' christians. The fact is they were freemasons and deist.
-P Robertson has said 'God told him' to run for President.
-P Robertson has said Dover PeN would be cursed for rejecting I.D. in the schools.
My issue is his politics, nothing else.
---len_k on 12/3/05

Pat Robertson is definately a man of God who has his ministry available 24/7 to help others in need. Many times his ministry has prevented suicides because someone was there to help and pray. Praise God for Pat Robertson!

Pat Robertson said a town in Penn. God will curse due to its school board rejected "Intelligent design." Pat Robertson said god told him to run for President in 1988, if that is true, does that mean if one voted against him they were going against the will of God? Pat said our Americas Founders were 'born again" In reality they were deist and freemason. When he opens his mouth it is only to change feet.
